You wouldn't think a UPS Store in the 2020s could be so notable as to merit a positive review, but the service at this location was excellent! They made it easy to print out an email, and shipped off two boxes to different locations quickly and reasonably cheerfully. And if this doesn't sound notable to you, you must not have experienced my local UPS store back home and hopefully you never will -- but I wish I could steal this one! read more

I am now out $300 from a return I couldn't make because they had their doors locked and shutters down five minutes before their closing time. They also (according to other, better UPS Stores in the area) do NOT adhere to the company policy and protocol to have a notary on staff and present at all times. This location says that an appointment is required and not possible on weekends. read more

I use this UPS store all the time. never had bad customer service. if bing quick and efficient is rude I guess lol. I personally like they move us right along. I never am in there more than 2 minutes. they are very friendly and competent. I go in to return or mail items once a week or so. I saw most the reviews were 5 years old so maybe. The guy whining Traverse City residents are rude in general come on. Doug (the owner) and Jon went way out of their way to help me with a difficult situation. I left something at a hotel and the hotel made it extremely difficult for me to get it back. Dough and Jon called the hotel 3-4 times and worked with me on 2 trips to the UPS store to rectify the situation. They didn't have to do all of this for me and they did it with enthusiasm. read more

Ah Traverse City. Never afraid to make its contempt for tourists clear. Anyway - avoid this place if at all possible. Employees are fine enough, but this franchise charges a bunch of weird service fees that other UPS stores don't. Like to print a return label, which I thought was a standard service via UPS stores. Pretty high surcharge too. Seems a weird business decision: one would think UPS *wants* people using their service to return as many items as possible - but may as well just drive items direct to the store. Whatev. read more

Wow! I went to the other UPS location. Said I couldn't ship my overnight document and need to take to Main UPS. Said didn't know how and they don't do. I had my shipper account with me. Drove to the 14th St location and was immediately waited on and told what I needed. He immediately knew what I needed and was so helpful! Cant say enough about my visit and the people I have been telling about great staff and helpfulness. Call and talk to the owner and thanked him for what his staff did for me. He was amazing as well. Said he has took over the center over 2 years now and continues to hear what a change in the store by customers. They made my night and my package arrived as noted. Thank You!!! read more

The difference in staff since the change in ownership is beyond amazing. They are fast and friendly and you no longer get yelled at when you don't tape a box or don't respond fast enough. Every time I go in I tell them how much better it is. After years of having to drive out of our way to go to a more user friendly store this is refreshing. Ship somewhere else, if you can. This woman is beyond rude. My elderly disabled father came to this store for an Amazon return. He struggles with technology, and thought that having a copy of the shipping label on his phone would work. He told the woman he didn't know if he needed to have it printed. Instead of telling him yes he did, she simply told him to email the label to her and she'd print it out. Once she did, she asked him for $5. For what, he asked. "For my time and services," she rudely replied. When he was confused, she proceeded to berate him, telling him that "if we're too rich for your blood, maybe you should try the post office." What an absolutely miserable person. My father said she looked like the type of person who never smiled in her life. So sad that he had to have this experience. read more

If I could give a zero I would. Paid to have 2 envelopes and they put the incorrect postage on them. Post office sent them back to me and I Noticed they had charged me $5.25 but only put 1.00 for postage. Went back to store and they said they would fix it - no charge. Next day the owner Russ Davis drives out to my house (7 miles) And accuses me of not paying for their mistake. What a strange Person. He also wanted twice the original price .....for their mistake. Still picking my jaw off the ground after my 4th and final visit to this UPS Store Franchise. Echoing the comments of others, I do not think I have experienced a consistently ruder and downright unpleasant "customer service" experience in my life. It's not me, I lived in Downtown Chicago for 23 years and abruptness does not phase me. And it's not just one person there, it's everyone-both male and female. These people are truly toxic. These guys were awesome! They took care of customers quickly and professionally. So glad I stopped by in spite of some other reviews.

I always know that I will receive great service from this store, but yesterday they truly went above and beyond. My elderly father had been released from the hospital just 10 minutes before, and had need of one of their services. I only waited briefly, then they actually CAME OUT TO MY CAR to help my dad, despite the winter weather. It was so appreciated, and my dad commented on how nice it was to still have good service in a busy world. You guys ROCK!! read more

I went here to ship a biggish and oddly shaped box. There's were four people working and one person in front of me. I waited 20min and the guy behind the counter, after endless one fingered typing, told me it would be $300. I left. The place across town charged $70. read more

VERY rude!! Took an Amazon return to this store & will NEVER go back!! The UPS store I am used to going to has bags that the pre-printed label goes in to put on the package. So, I didn't attach the shipping label to my package. The bitch behind the counter said "I'd say something nasty but I won't" I was shocked & asked why. She said "at least you could've taped this to the package" I explained why I didn't. She told me they don't use those bags anymore. Sorry, I didn't know. We were visiting the TC area from California and had to have some artwork packaged up to be sent home. The staff of three worked together to come up with the optimal (least expensive and safest) way to pack up our artwork for the trip. I've been to other UPS stores where it's just very business-like, but these folks were truly friendly, competent, and engaged with the customers. And it's a great and easy location just as you come into Traverse City. read more

I went to this store at 5:55 pm and the woman working at 5:55 pm was so rude to me. I mean, if I wasn't in need of an important service, I would have walked out. My receipt showed 6:02 and she acted like I was there keeping her past her closing time for a long time. Not sure is she was an employee or the owner, but damn, she was rude as hell and I won't go back. Too bad, because the two UPS stores in Springfield VA and Austin TX were the best services ever. This experience was awful. I am getting ready to deploy to Houston TX for hurricane rescue and this woman was rude and when I asked her if she had a bad day, she said no and was just abrupt and not nice. Never in my entire life have I ever encountered someone so miserably unfriendly and rude who works a counter position with the public in the 31 years of my time on this earth. "Michelle" the older woman with short blond hair, was not only RUDE and short with me in person for no reason on December 19th when I was trying to mail back some packages, her unprofessionalism continued several weeks later on the phone when I needed assistance in locating half of my order that was to be shipped out together-- her sickening rudeness continued. Only half of it arrived to its destination and I needed immediate assistance in finding out why. She spoke over me, insulted and suggested I return to college as my education was lacking. I exchanged a few unpleasantries with her, in my sheer DISGUST of her lack of communication skill, and ability to help problem solve. How absolutely embarrassing for the business she's employed through, that her customer service was so unacceptably poor. I will NEVER return to this UPS STORE, nor would I recommend their service to anyone. If you do not like your Job, that you are paid to do, and you're that miserable in customer service working a counter, perhaps you should reconsider your employment. I'm so disappointed as the owner is a long time friend of my fathers and I am happy to take my business for shipping and mailing needs elsewhere.
