I got there today around 8:40am and there was a line already of about 10 people. This is a very popular location. Once it was my turn, i was in and out in 2 minutes. The guy at the desk was nice and bilingual. read more

I like this drop off spot. It's a small location 991 Broadway. You come in, give them your return and they give you a receipt just like this. POINT BLANK......PERIOD!!!! 1 2,3 DONE.I say you will spend about 10 minutes the most and you about your business. read more

The UPS Store - My proof of a return at the drop off spot on Broadway. - Shipping Centers Near Me - New York, New York

Very professional and well managed store. Went to notarize a document, after schlepping over 20 blocks and 3 different avenues trying to find a notary public. Banks no longer have notary services. Pharmacy, brokerage and other stores in the hood, do not have a notary either. Glad I can count on having an on-the-spot notary on-site. Notary service cost $2. read more

Arrived for passport photo appointment what was booked online on the UPS site. Told that this location doesn't offer photo services. Yet when I got back home the UPS site still showed openings available! Not good. If UPS doesn't offer a service then fine, but don't say that you do. It's not the first time I experienced UPS corporate not keeping their individual store services up to date. I had a problem at another UPS store that stated notary services were available and I called the store to confirm. When I got there "We don't offer that here." But I called to confirm? "The guy called out sick." (So which one was it? How is it you have a "notary guy" to call out sick if you don't offer notary services?) read more

Long story short I got here at 6:53, door was open walked in wit my package in hand and all the computers down. Called another UPS location in Dyckman that says as long as you here 5 mins before we take you. Got my package shipped nonetheless @ other location. read more

Came here on a Saturday when they were supposedly open and found the guy locking up early. This used to be a really reliable location until they started to employ young men who are extremely interested in the physical appearance of their clientele and in general, acting in an extremely unprofessional manner. If I were the owner of this location I'd be rehiring as soon as I could financially afford to do so. read more

This has to be the WORST UPS STORE there is. Don't even bother going here. The employee by the name of Esmeralda was awfully rude. She had an attitude the entire time. She was throwing the package and slamming the paper and just giving an awful customer service. read more

Filed a claim with UPS for an expensive item shipped from this store that arrived damaged. UPS told me to contact this store Manager to arrange a 3-way call between myself, Gus (Manager), and UPS to discuss the claim results. Gus absolutely refused to do this. He also refused to tell me if my claim was approved and for what amount, telling me to "wait for the email.". Guess what, Gus? NEVER got any email. I was finally able to get some info from the shipper. TERRIBLE service and very disrespectful attitude. I called UPS and lodged a complaint. The shipper told me he would never use UPS again to ship his items. read more

Why nearly 6yrs later I am seeing this response from this guy Chad on a review posted 2013 !?!? . Again, they really must be on drugs. I never came into this place looking for a job, ha! That's a joke! I never go anywhere "looking unprofessional". For God sakes I even hate to wear a hat outside. I have been with the same company since 2008 and I'm a District Operations Manager who also owns 2 Laundromat businesses in Queens, why would I come to this measly place seeking employment !!!? Lmaooo. I remember this like it was yesterday, I wanted to ship a Medium size box to North Carolina which had cost me like $45 at USPS previously but I was running late and didn't want to run to the Post Office. The guy that finally attended to me, gave me an estimate of $150 and I actually said, "No thanks for now, I'll think on it or make my way to the post office when I'm not in a rush". Please UPS STORE quit lying on your customers or customers who have attempted to give you business. I have never returned to this location after that experience because the service was so terrible and the other reviews continue to speak for themselves regarding your business. Btw, I was an Elite Yelper for 3yrs and I stopped when I had my child. You may want to verify those credentials with the Yelp Administration Team to confirm. My reviews have always been honest and fully detailed. Sorry that your business did not make my positive cut Chad. Do better business in your neighborhood and better feedback will be provided. Also Chad if YOUR looking for employment, tired of being just a retail manager or your staff needs greater discipline and training. Have them apply to me for a brighter and better future ! read more

I would like to thank josh for helping me and not rushing me although the address I gave him was wrong he tracked my package and sent to the right place . Thank you josh read more

I ran inside, because I was double parked, to drop off a return and was immediately greeted by Jose. Not only was he incredibly helpful and efficient, but he also recycled an old bag and allowed me to use it for my return. Super impressed with his service and positive attitude! read more

I downloaded Yelp JUST to write this review. I went to this location because it's closest to my building. I read the reviews before I came in, but didn't think it was going o be this horrible. The woman who "helped" me was very rude. She held the lock on the window, and when I looked at her, she said to me "at the post office, you wait for someone to call you to the window", but I only walked over to her because she looked up at me in line and smiled, which I assumed was an invitation to the window... she then proceeded to have an attitude all throughout the process. After I dropped my package with her, I got in the other line to pick up a package, and I witnessed other customers after me having a hard time with her, as well. I've never experienced such bad service in NY, and that says a lot. read more

I had an annoyingly large, heavy package to mail. Nathalie was super patient and helpful with me talking through packaging options, and figured out the cheapest way to pack it in a way that made a big difference to the cost. read more

Dropped off an Amazon return here (prepaid label), they put a strip of tape on the box and told me I owe them $2 for the tape. Could have told me this before taping as I had tape on me and could have saved $2 for a 6" strip of tape. The nickel and dining doesn't sit well. read more

I sent a package that was time sensitive to a NYC address on 8/8/17. The package was not picked up from the store until 8/14/17 and was not delivered until 8/15/17. I called UPS corporate and they told me to speak to the store about the matter. I did and initially nothing could be done as the package had been delivered but the owner called when he was informed of the problem and offered a sincere apology and explanation regarding where the package had gone. UPS stores are franchises and the package had been stalled at the UPS hub. The owner said that if a package is not delivered by the promised time to call immediately so they can track down the package and have it expedited. He also refunded my money. He was very nice, as were the workers and I've updated my review because the problem was handled professionally. read more

Got exactly what I needed, and was in and out within a few minutes and for less than $5. Guy at the desk did the actual packing. read more

The UPS Store - Shipping Centers Near Me - New York, New York

This store does not have the New York State Tax Authority Certificate posted in their window as required by law of all retail establishments in the state. Nor do they have it posted anywhere inside the store nor will they give it when asked for it, as required by NYS law. read more

The service here is horrible. UPS was shipping me an item. Said the UPS store would hold it free of charge, The man at store was mean and aggressive. Charged me an additional $10 to pick up item and was so rude and mean. read more

Although the wait is long because it's a small location ( prepare to wait in line specially now during the pandemic ) my experience was pleasant because of Gus. I am not sure if he is the manager, but if he is not he should be one. He was Proffesional and respectful and so helpful, I was having trouble with a label for my giant box and he was so helpful, never rushed, and knew exactly how to solve my tech problem. He is an asset to that store and I usually take a lot of packages to that location and I have never seen him being unpleasant or not knowledgeable of his work. Thank you Gus you're a star. read more

After having a terrible experience at the post office across the street, I came to this ups location. After waiting in line for an hour, the post office wouldn't ship my package unless I bought their boxes because my packaging wasn't "correct" and the lady at the counter was very rude, unhelpful, and told me I was wasting her time. In comparison, the guys at this ups location had no problem with my packaging, there was no line, and they were very friendly! It was more expensive than the post office, but I am confident my packages will arrive and I saved so much time. read more

Best ups store in nyc! Fast reliable honest and upfront! Don't go nowhere else!

I've had several UPS Store addresses over the years. This store at 551 West 181st. Is by far the best of all them. I hope to keep this address as long as possible. The service is top notch and genuine. read more

AVOID THIS LOCATION!! The owner and all the employees are extremely unprofessional and rude. Zero customer service. I haven't written a yelp review in years but my experience at this store was horrible. It is their job to PACK AND SHIP but they expect the customers to do their work. The employees just sit behind the counter and yell at customers. I will never go back. read more

I don't know why all the negative comments. I guess in customer service you can't make everyone happy. However, I have nothing but GOOD experiences at this store!. They are all friendly, curtious and always helpful! I haven't had any problems. There was never any issues with my mail, etc.. So if your going to write negative comments, make sure you are in the 100% right. Don't cry like a baby because you didn't get your way then run on yelp and say terrible and disgusting things, that are judgmental and OFFENSIVE!. I've always been a true believer in "see it for yourself" read more

These guys were awesome. Helped me get the right packaging and very helpful with shipping 4 large boxes across the country. I have seen bad reviews on them and was skeptical but I was in and out quickly and have nothing but praise and kind words for them read more

I've had a p.o. box here for almost a year and it's been great. Rates are very reasonable and I never have a problem with them receiving all of my packages( and trust me I am a eBay addict lol). I've had zero issues and all the staff there are so helpful and super friendly. read more

This place is ridiculous. Posted opening hours are 8:30 a.m. but whoever is responsible for opening the store is HABITUALLY late. COUNTLESS times we have gone there at 8:35-8:45 on our way to work and the whole place is still gated up and locked--including this morning, when we just gave up and took our bulky package on the subway to take it to a different location instead. We have called UPS repeatedly over the last 2 years to complain that it was still closed 10 and 15 minutes later than posted opening hours and no one seems to do anything about it. Can't believe whoever is responsible for opening the store has not been fired. Terrible business practice. read more

Those guys were great to, they helped a lot. I will def come back and ship more stuff with them

Apologetic for offering really bad services to print off of a USB drive. Hey, staples was easy. UPS store, needed $1 a page to print off of a USB drive. RIP OFF--- staples is around the corner. Cheap and good service! read more

Best UPS store in town! Very friendly confident service and at a much more reasonable & honest price than other UPS stores! The only place to go when you need to ship something and want great service with the best deal around! read more

Awful. Attempted to ship 6 packages. The quote was nearly double the UPS.com quote. Small box (1.5 lbs) shipped ground to CA was quoted more than $28. United States Postal Service is approximately $8. Obviously this franchise takes UPS prices and doubles them. I will never use UPS again. read more

I go here about every week to drop off some packages and the guys there are pretty cool guys, They always greet me when I walk in and one of the guys there who I think his name is josh there does everything up in the computer really fast which means it takes me literally about less than a minute to walk in the store, drop my package and be on my way. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone planning on dropping of any packages. read more
