I just recently rented a PO box at this store, and I haven't yet gone to pick up my items, so my review may change after I do. However for now I can say I have used this location for mailing multiple times in the past, and my experience of opening the rental box have all been fantastic. I have all ways been treated with respect and courteously. I travel often and needed a way to collect my packages, and UPS's private boxes were an excellent way to do this. Originally I was going to rent their largest box, but after speaking with the elderly woman at the counter she explained the process, and saved me money by recommending the smaller box. I read the other reviews, and can not speak to their experience, but for me the staff has been 5 stars every time. I only left a 4 star because the building its self is to small. The staff has no control over that, and no control over the amount of rude customers they deal with daily. I appreciate the service they offer, and their attitude toward me. I am so thankful this is close to where I live! The staff is top-notch and so friendly!! I had 13 champagne flutes to be sent all across the country, and they took care of my very complicated order with professionalism and kindness, and never made me feel like I was asking too much. It is almost impossible to speak to anyone on the phone. There are at most, 4 or 5 employees in the store, but the damn robot attendant makes you just through 3,487 hoops to respond to their laundry list of topics that don't even include the option you need. I'm not driving all the way to the store when I can't find out in advance if my trip will be wasted. read more

I have to say after a few additional visits the employees seem to be starting to turn a mew leaf and have been very pleasant as of late.

Very rude and inappropriate behavior by staff. I simply inquired about postage needed for shipping back to Amazon through a third party(China) The employee responded to my inquiry in a very rude and unprofessional tone. She could definitely use a refresher in customer service techniques! I have had similar experiences with this employee before. If she is truly this unhappy, perhaps she should find another job more fitting for her lovely demeanor. read more

I've leveraged the services of this location for both personal and business shipping, as well as for passport photos. I always find the staff to be courteous and helpful. Depending on what I'm shipping, I've both done my own packaging, and relied on their expertise for more fragile items, and never had an issue with either approach. I visited this location at approx 2:25 on Saturday 4/29/17. Ms Pat took my order efficiently and was quick to point out that gift cards were not covered and that it was too late to get this delivered for Monday. No smile and no positive tone was observed. When she went to enter my shipment she pitched a fit that her coworker did not change the date on the system. She had major attitude with the coworker who tried to defend herself. This appalling behavior was all done in the lobby in front of myself and another customer. After my transaction was completed I made it clear to Pat that her behavior was inappropriate, unprofessional and that she should be ashamed of herself. I will not be shipping anything from this location going forward and I will be sure to share what I saw. Just shameful. read more

I shipped a jewelry chest at Christmas time. I dropped off at UPS after spending an hour + packaging so that it wouldn't move and was fully protected by 4" on each side. I arrived at UPS and was rudely welcomed by an older gentlemen (had to have been in his late 70's or early 80's). He grabbed my package provided me with the drop off confirmation and then placed this 40 pound box half on, and half off a rolling cart. I politely asked him to reposition the box so that it wouldn't fall. I received an extremely rude "I do this for a living" response. Okay Okay, you do this for a living, but I just paid 80 dollars to ship a box with you - anyways.....against my better advice I left the store without making it an issue and assuming that the gentleman was correct - he does this for a living. Well 5 days later I receive a call from my customer that the jewelry box is DESTROYED. She sends me pictures and yes - in fact the box is damaged so badly on one corner that the jewelry box inside was not just damaged - it had split the wood. Now can I say for sure that it fell off that cart after I left - NO, but will I ever ship with UPS or this UPS store again. HECK NO. I'll drive out of my way to drop it off packages at the FEDEX Kinkos or Office Max in Washington. The only packages I drop off at this location are Amazon returns - I could care less if they damage amazon's returns. read more

This UPS store has employees that are extremely rude with very slow service, making it truly one of my most hated places to go. This store has the worst customer service I have ever experienced on a routine basis. I understand a bad day now and again, but every experience here is truly miserable. I will never give this store my business again, and I would rather drive miles out of the way to go any other store. I highly recommend you do the same. read more

I ship a lot of packages in my business. UPS is far cheaper and more dependable than the USPS. Unless you can fit what you ship in one of the USPS boxes, take your stuff to this UPS store and let them ship it for you. I think the owners staff this place and they're always working hard to make sure you get in and out of there. I am happy to support them. read more

I didn't know where this location was, as I had a package to return to Verizon, so I looked it up on the Internet and was shocked at the many one star reviews. I was reluctant to go there, based on the reviews, but it was the closest. Two people occupied the clerks when I entered. Those transactions, obviously, went well, with thank you's and smiles. My clerk, a middle aged woman, gave me a warm greeting and a smile, processed my package. I asked a question and got a civil answer. I was ready to go, and she insisted that I wait for a receipt for this item, explaining that I need to keep it for 12 to 15 months, as proof that I returned it to this vendor, showing a knowledge of electronics returns, and my vendor, specifically. We thanked each other, I filed my receipt at home. Great service. read more

old woman and old guy with a beard both had really poor attitudes. I have shipped a lot of things I have been selling online here and will never return. I find shipping through USPS easier and less expensive anyhow. I just returned today unfortunately because I had to return a textbook to chegg that I used last semester. The old lady gave me the worst attitude I have seen in any store in a very long time. The useless people in there need fired and replaced or this place will hopefully go completely out of business because the attitudes coming from the employees are pathetic. read more

My wife and I went to this store to get a one-page document notarized. The notary, Patricia, refused to notarized it because it has a place for a witness. She refused to be the witness. Later I verified from the insurance company that the notary can be the witness. Another day I called there and she said that she would be the witness but would charge $3 per each signature plus the $5 notary fee. Therefore, I took a witness. Patricia then charged me $8. Her statement was that there was a $3 clerical fee and it's under her discretion if she wants to charge it. I have a business and ship thousands of dollars worth of packages a year with UPS. Not anymore. FedEx, I am your customer from now on. read more

I go to the McMurray UPS Store often and most of the time I leave feeling very irritated because of how unfriendly the employees are there. They seem to only hire grumpy people. How difficult is it to smile and say "Hello" and "Thank You" or "Have a good day"? They act like they're doing you a favor by waiting on you - not like you're the customer without whom they'd have no job. I don't expect a lot from people I interact with in a business setting. I don't want to chit-chat or be entertained I just want the minimum amount of pleasantness one expects and the employees at the McMurray UPS Store fall short of that most of the time. read more

I mailed a package for $90 with these guys. The package ended up getting smashed and disposed of by UPS. This store never notified me even though they were called by UPS corporate. They then refused to refund my credit card and said I had to wait for a check. Two weeks later they offered to refund my card. Long story short DON'T USE THESE GUYS. read more
