Locked doors early. Employees stood there and would not open door while elderly woman was forced to stand out in the cold. Only reason we got inside is because other customers inside walked out, even then we still got in and were done before the listed closing time. I have been using this location for years and never had a complaint. Evidently new owners have taken over and my last two visits to the store have been a different story. I found the staff rude & very unpleasant. Nobody could manage to say hello in response to my greeting or a thank you when the transaction was completed. The last time I was there (a couple days ago) I was the only customer in the store & the guy at the counter never even looked at me, or spoke one word to me. I got the impression he really didn't want me there! Needless to say I won't be going back. I will be using the Forked River UPS store. It's a bit of a hike for me, but it's worth it not to have to deal those unpleasant people at the Manahawkin store. I've read other complaints about that location but I figured they were exaggerated. Scheduled a 10:30 a.m. appointment online to have a document notarized yesterday. Arrived a few minutes before 10:30 a.m., only to be told by the employee inside that the notary does not show up before noon. Ridiculous that they have available times online for scheduling but the notary is not even present during those times. Employee inside did not even apologize. Don't waste your time with this location. If you need a notary on or near LBI, go to Stewart Title instead. Karen at Stewart Title was very friendly and fast. read more

I'm only giving two stars because the other people working were far more pleasant but whoever Jackie is she has a permanent attitude. I'm not sure if she realizes it or not but it was not just me. She was very rude to the elderly woman in front of me who was understandably confused. When it came to my turn I also was confused and asked for help she was very snarky. If you don't mind negative attitudes like that then I'm sure you can get in and out and get done what you need but only if you know more than who's working there. I visited this UPS store on 5/26/2024. I couldn't understand what the person behind the desk was saying even though he was speaking English. He priced my package to send at $15. I took it to the post office and they sent it for $6.50 to get to the destination a day earlier. The change in ownership was quite noticeable. read more

The gentlemen working there were kind to me and my family. They helped me with some printing and scanning, were considerate to my documents' privacy. They helped organize my docs and made the process simple. They double checked that I wasn't missing anything, like a notarization, etc. I'll come back if I need to get paperwork handled in the future! read more

We have used this particular business for three years with no problems. The staff and management were helpful and efficient. In the last month everything has changed. All new employees who are rude and abrasive. The prices have doubled! Also, their accents are so heavy that we don't understand their English. Wow - stay away from this store and especially their Manager - Jay B. I submitted an online print order and went to pick it up. It was done incorrectly (printed on the wrong stock paper). When I pointed this out, Jay turned around and started to do something on the printer behind him. No apology for making this mistake. No comment at all from him. No apology for asking me to wait for the order that they now had to print while I waited. When the order was printed, it was handed to me by Jay. Again, no apology - nothing! Common courtesy and manners should exist but I guess they do not at the UPS Store in Manahawkin. Stay away - I know I will. read more

I really used to love UPS. I don't know if they've changed their hiring processes or what. But there's a new UPS "helper" that is what she referred to herself as. She does not know the services UPS offers. Has taken packages without labeling them, has handed labels over without taking the packages for pick up and basically cannot do anything right. Went to the UPS store on Jimmy Lee's Road in Absecon New Jersey to drop off a Amazon return. The owner of the establishment told me I had to take it to the post office. I showed him the paper showing that the UPS store at his location takes returns. Waste of my time had to go back to Amazon then finally he took the return. We had to do last minute prints for an upcoming wedding, and this was one of the closest places to Long Beach Island. They had an easy-to-use online interface for uploading print jobs, and the service was speedy. While the print quality isn't quite as nice as FedEx/Kinkos, it was still pretty good and overall what we needed. read more

I'm not sure what UPS delieved to my house, this one or lacey. But the guy that brought my packages that I ordered was so nice! I wish I could of gave him a water and candy or something for his ride. This UPS store is my go-to UPS. Tucked away in yet another strip mall it is one of the most helpful facilities I have ever been to. I had a return to make to Amazon for a defective earring, which was replaced by a new pair. The clerk was helpful and kind and I could not have had a better experience. I have another return to make and I would not dream of going anywhere else to take it, except perhaps somewhere closer, but only if they are as pleasant to go to as this facility was. Thank you for the help and the kindness of saving me money that you did not need to extend yourself for. Much appreciated. I do not know if that part of the kindness is available to every situation, he just saw a way to help me and took it, like he looked for it or knew of it and could apply it to my situation, all of a dollar but still kindness. sorry that I do not have a picture but I did not grow up phone photographing my life. Things never seem to get better at this store. One of my fist experiences at this was sub-par. It hasn't changed in a year. I had a package delivered to this store because I was going to be out of town. With delivery confirmation in hand I went to the store to pick up my package. They couldn't find it and refused to look when I asked them to look again. After all I had a delivery confirmation, right? They were steadfast in their belief that it wasn't there even though I had evidence to the contrary. I pushed more when another clerk came to my aid. She found the package on the floor right behind where the first clerk had looked. Fast forward to today. I walked in the store to send some packages. I was explaining to the clerk what I wanted and she cut me off mid-sentence. Did want to listen to what I had to say. She was extremely rude. These are not the only two times I've had problems in this store. They are consistently rude and have no inkling of what customer service looks like.
