*** Would give negative stars if I could! *** Employees at this location are very rude and unhelpful. We went to this location because it was a Sunday and other locations were closed. We had a good experience at Independence Plaza location. The guys there were super helpful and offered zip ties free of charge to close up our totes after we mixed them up and had to open them. This location off East Del Mar does not appear to like or be grateful in any way towards military. They said they do not offer military discount (lie) and if we wanted insurance we had to package in their packing only (also a lie). When we checked their corporate website it shows clear as day that they do offer military discount and as long as totes (or any personal package) are new and up to their guidelines they will insure it. Lady at the counter clearly needs to go back to day 1 of her training. I wish we would've gotten her name but we didn't. Would NOT recommend this location and definitely never visiting this store again. read more

I have used this UPS Store for years and they have always provided me with great service. On one occasion I forgot my return label and they helped me send it from my ip to their email and printed it out for me. I have also used other services such as their fax service. I live this store. read more

Just called the store because they put the wrong address and the person who answered the phone was so rude. the address I gave to them physically not verbally and they input it wrong, and says that's why they give me a paper to verify, I had 3 packages and not once did they ask me to verify address. now I was told very rudely that I have to go back to the store to fix a problem they created due to incorrect data entry. read more

Kid at the counter so was rude, acted like I insulted his mom. I was standing in line just needing to ship a package, ready to go. My turn, he head nods me, like saying "what?" with a scowl on his face, I told him I just need to ship out the package, he doesn't ever speak one word to me, doesn't ask if I needed anything else, just scan the package and hands me the receipt and turns away signaling, "I'm done with you". As someone that always tries to be courteous to people, there is no reason to treat a respectful customer that way. This isn't the first time I've been treated this way either. Never had a bad experience and I go every couple of months. Mostly young men working and they do not dally. I go and get documents notarized and they are the only notary in town that charges the state-mandated $6 fee for notarization. Everyone else rips you off. Totally worth the trip. read more

Walked in the store no greeting. One girl called me to the counter and then asked the guy next to her if he wanted to assist me ... he didn't even seem generous he just shouted out that I had to print the label and put it in a box didn't ask any questions . very poor customer service skills. read more

United Parcel Service -worst shipping company. Paid overnight fees to have medical equipment delivered and they missed the mark by over 72 hours!!! Just spent hours on the phone with their customer service and they proved themselves to be incapable of providing a solution to rectify the delay and their insensitivity of a situation in which an oxygen machine needed to be delivered to an ill, elderly person. The manager/store owner, Norman Quintanilla, is unprofessional, disrespectful, cocky, and will charge you unnecessarily for used boxes/a piece of tape. I went in to make a Amazon return and the gentleman said that it was required for my item to go in a box even though I chose the option to drop off the item. He proceeded to tell me that it would be $1 as he packed my item in a used box. I then asked "So you guys charge for used boxes but you know what that's fine I don't think that's right though" Norman then came over and said you're paying for the service and I asked "What service if that's why Amazon is paying for shipping you're simply charging me for a used box that was on the floor left by a customer" He took my item out and said if I wanted to send it I would have to pay for a $4 box to which I declined and said no I will take the $1. He then refused and said because I was going to complain he wouldn't offer it to me. He retaliated because I complained that what he was doing was wrong. I then went outside packaged it up myself in a bag and came back. He then said I couldn't send it because it didn't have tape. My mom came in and asked what was going on to which he said he couldn't send the item because it had no tape even though it didn't need it.At this point the issue wasn't about anything besides him not wanting to help me in any way. He then proceeded to charge me a $1 for a piece of tape which if you go back on these reviews he's done before. The whole time he said a smirk on his face, was unwilling to help, and would speak over us saying "na na na." I will not be coming back here again and will be going to the store on Monarch where they have excellent service to their customers. If you ever need to file a complaint, call 281-636-4349, this is regional/hire up. Because he is the store owner he feels entitled to treat customers in whatever way he wants, but that's not how it goes. As far as I know he is not the CEO of UPS and the only reason he's in that position is the customers that use the service. Fortunately, his treatment towards me will be addressed by regional. Regional apologized to me and said he was out of line and he was not supposed to be charging for a used box. Hopefully next time he'll think about the way he treats others. read more

Hi All, When I called they had a very positive attitude. I needed some goods repalletized, totally outside the scope of what I would expect a UPS store to do, but they did it and they did it well. Within a day he had gotten me heat treated pallets, fixed my issues and then he repalletized my goods and had them ready to go in 6 hours. He provided pictures as he went through the process. Overall a great experience and I appreciate them getting it done so quickly. read more

I went in to this UPS store this morning to return an Amazon package. First, I was asked to wait outside because apparently they only allow 4 customers inside at this time; fine, I went back out and although it's too hot at this time of year to linger outside, at least it only took about 5 minutes. But then when I made it inside, two other people went in after me, making them #5 and #6, and they were not asked to step out. WTH? Then two gentlemen in front of me, who were already being tended to, were suddenly told their Amazon returns could not be completed after all because the internet connection was down. Another employee walked up to me, "Are you returning an Amazon package? Sorry, we can't do that at this time, our internet is down." You're UPS, how in the world are you rendered useless because your connection is supposedly down? People usually have to take time out of their busy day to drive over to a UPS location (we only have two in a city of 250,000+) to ship or return packages and you send them away without being able to help them with their packages? Ridiculous. read more

I needed a document notarized so I went into this UPS store during normal business hours, at about 8:45 am, and they said that only the manager is a notary and he would only be there from 9:30-4:30 that day but that I could come back during that time. I went back at 11:15 and the manager was out and the employee didn't know when he would be back. Bottom line, I made 2 trips out of my way to go to this store for notary services and still do not have the document notarized. They didn't offer to call me when he got back or even apologize for the inconvenience. I will be looking for another notary service. read more

I have being dealing with UPS for some time now, but recently I experienced a big problem with this particular store. I had sold a bass guitar thru E-Bay and had it shipped thru this store and I always had in the past. But this one time my merchandise was send back with a message not as describe! When I went to pick up my package the box itself was in terrible condition like someone dragged, abused and even piled some other heavy boxes on it with no consideration what so ever! The box in which the guitar came in was ripped to shreds with one big gash on one side! I had never had this kind of problem with UPS! When I asked the young men working there what had happened, They seemed a little defiant and confrontational and told me I should have got insurances and when I asked for a manager they told that he would say the same thing! I can't control when someone ships to me UPS but I can control using UPS! Never again the worse service ever. Unfortunately I felt I was dealing with people who could of cared less! I'm Very upset, But lesson learned! read more
