The whole team did a fantastic job of helping me get the returning a bunch of items I couldn't return to the required location the app was forcing me to use as that location was not available to accept return. I had an Amazon return to make. Returns through the UPS store couldn't be easier or quicker. Amazon sends a return verification email with a code to scan. Walk in the store. The associate scans the code. A label prints out. They apply the label to your package. Done. They will also print out a return verification receipt for you. Granted it was not busy in the store. I was in and out in 2 minutes. Thumbs up! read more

I presented at the Ups store by Target/Hyvee in Dubuque and was greeted by the sweetest gal. I gave her the package which needed to be shipped, I pulled out my phone for the QRcode which she scanned and I mentioned I brought tape and a scissors to seal it. She said no need and that she would take care of it and smiled, to which I thanked her and left the store. Her name is Melanie and I would totally recommend this store and definitely her. Walked in to this location on Dodge St. I told them i was moving and if they ship items such as TV's and entertainment centers. Keep in mind this is my first time moving across the country, i dont study what UPS ships and doesnt ship. So im trying to figure this out for the first time. (I'm 22). I ask if they could ship a 44" flatscreen. I was talking to one lady with a face gem piercing and she seemed nice, probably knew. Then i believe the boss with the gray bangs stepped in and rudely said "first of all, we do not ship tvs, you have to send them to Uhaul for that". And its not about what she said, its about how she said it. Im pretty sure the last thing you want to have when your stressfully trying to mail something, is encounter a rude employee. Its not my fault you work here lady. The least you could do is drop the attitude and say things in a nicer way. I feel like businesses should make customers feel accomplished, confident, and excited to want to go to these locations in general to take care of any business. And i dont just mean UPS. Wouldn't recommend this location unless you could care less about the attitude from customer service. The problem is the one lady with the bangs, everyone else seemed nice. read more

As I frequent many, and I mean MANY, UPS stores on my travels, I get a variety of service where I go, and I'd say the majority of the time it's excellent. But the cashier at this store, DEB - with the short gray hair, is downright rude. Unfriendly, unhelpful. She took the letter I was mailing and quite literally crammed it in the envelope. When I asked her not to do that, please let me fold it - as it was an important document. She snapped back at me that she was just weighing it. Yea ... still ... I don't need you to mess up my form lady, no matter how bad of a day you've had. Needless to say I used USPS in the HyVee supermarket next door - not only less expensive, but much friendlier service. I suggest folks drive to the UPS store in Galena nearby if you don't want to deal with crabby folks. read more

Yesterday I showed up at store right before closing with a problem. I needed to find a delivery confirmation on a package from 2 and a half months ago which I no longer had the tracking number. Nevertheless instead of telling me that it wasn't possible ir to come back the next day, Anne the new store owner figured it out and found the information I needed. She saved me a ton of trouble. I've been here multiple times, and each time one staff member in particular is rude and impatient. She yelled at her co-worker in front of myself and another customer to not answer the phone when they were open for another 25 minutes. I felt rushed, and she was just very rude, made it seem like she did not like her job at all. The other recent time I had stopped by to mail something about a month prior, she was also there. She was very unfriendly to me, and upset that I did not know I had to pay to fax something. She treated me very poorly, and it was not appreciated. I like to believe that she was having a bad day, but after my recent visit, I see that she lacks customer service skills, and is just a rude lady. read more

Visiting in Dubuque with precious things to mail home, I was happy to find this UPS store. We were able to find a mailing tube and received such cheerful help and advice from the manager Clare Richard. The store was busy but she took the time to help us package the contents up without hurrying us. read more

This store is in a good location and easy to access. It seems as I always get the grumpy cashier who doesn't want to help much but more to get me out the door. I have had friendlier service at the Kerper location. read more

TERRIBLE line of communication. I needed to get a medical sample in the system, so before driving, I decided to give them a call. I called and was not able to speak to a person, so on the second call, I left a message, as they said they would return calls between customers. I waited a while and did NOT receive a callback, so I called and left another message. I wanted to make sure that if I made the one hour round trip, the package would indeed go out today. In three hours, my call was never returned. I headed to Dubuque, and when I walked into their store, one person was walking out, but other than that, there was no one else in the store. There were two employees at the time. She explained that the phone only rings twice and then goes to voicemail. I asked her when exactly they check voicemail AND return calls. Obviously, you need a better system in place OR more conscientious employees. read more
