The process took a couple hours (longer than I expected) and the price was higher than I thought was appropriate for the level of experience of my stylist. I loved the colour but it faded out very quickly to reveal an uneven bleaching and patchy blonde. I would be careful to specify what you want, and not let the salon "be creative" (which is what I had said). Overall a good experience, I would go back for a cut but not for another colouring.

The moment you walk in they take your coat and offer you a beverage (coffee, tea, water). Everyone is friendly and welcoming. I'm not sure about walking in because I've always made appointments to avoid having to wait or being turned away because they can get busy. Downside is that it is located downtown and parking is always a pain. You also never know who you're gonna get so you won't know how good or experienced they are or how long they will take. But you can always request the same student or stylist if you're comfortable with that one person. I've had a fairly new student before who needed quite a lot of guidance from a senior stylist but I was fine with it. She did a good job and the stylist was great at teaching.
