Probably the best night club in town. I've been there q couple of times last year and this time counting. It's usually packed friday night and haa free entrance for students, which is cool. Prices on alcohol are typical/expensive. But usually they make them strong enough for you to feel it. Yet, the more you spend and the often you come, they serve you better and better (and of course, you gotta tip for a better service). Music during those busy nights is great. Had a very fun experience during the halloween especially. Would recommend! read more

Came here during a weekend visit to Bellingham. Since I'm not from the area, I can't really compare it to many other local spots BUT I enjoyed my time here. The club seems a little out of place amongst the other venues that cater to the casual, beer-sipping, hoodie-wearing small town lovers who make up much of the Bellingham population, but the place itself had a good number of people for a Saturday night. I go back and forth between clubs and pubs and this would have been a cool place for dresses and heels. Never ended up getting a drink here so I can't comment on the pours or bar staff, but the bouncers were nice enough, the $5 cover didn't kill me, and the music was a good mix of electronic (but not too rave-y) and hip hop. Wow. There are some crazy bad bartenders here. I went with a group of friends one night a few days ago, and we all ordered some drinks and went to play pool. The billiards area was dirty, uncared for, had broken TVs and crappy seating; not a big deal for college-aged 20somethings like ourselves, but it would have been good if that area was a little nicer. But oh lordy the drinks. Easily the worst I've had. I ordered a Long Island Ice Tea, and it tasted like watery styrofoam, my friend had a whiskey coke with absolutely no coke in it. All served in plastic cups with bad-tasting ice in them. The bartender clearly over-pours and had no idea what he was doing. The actual dance floor was decent though (which is why most people come here anyway). Fine club music, and decent lighting; no complaints on that part. read more

The best thing about the underground is that they serve very strong drinks. You get the best for your buck. With that in mind, be careful how many drinks you have or you might black out or get sick. (This may or may not have happened to me). The worst thing about his place is that there always seem to be a few creepy guys that just don't give up on trying to dance on you. The interesting thing about this place: That chick that's always dancing on the dancefloor. She has headphones on and just dances... all night! read more

I would have to say this is one of the worsts clubs I have been to in my life . To be fair I will start off with the good things since it really was the only good thing about the night . There was no line to get in which was awesome , maybe should of been a hint not to come there . However there was a good amount if people there . The cover was really cheap it was only $4 dollars . However, that's where the great to a bad night starts . I walk into the club with my friends and awesome the bar is conveniently located . I would say I thought it was Interseting that in this town everyone makes a line like we were ordering food , compared to other places where you just go to the side of the bar rail it's whoever the bartender thinks is 1st . So my friends and I patiently wait 20 min for a drink :/ however I am not tripping . But what totally pissed me was once it was my turn to order the bartender she saw this girl and took her order as the girl screams I want a vodka cranberry , as I was just giving her my order . She then turns and takes that girl order . I am like wtf one I waited in line , 2 you were just taking my order !!! Now your giving This girl who cut in front of 10 ppl behind me and then just said screw it I just asked you and took your order but oh well ! But to make matters worse SHE then takes this other girl order whom again cut the ppl in line who were patiently waiting . Talk about horrible customer services ! I am now beyond unsatisfied and finally a guy bartender comes and takes are order I order a caribou Lou and the bartender makes it terrible !! I basically wasted one my 20 min in line and $7. So that defiantly ended my night of getting any drinks . So now I am out on the dance floor and there are defiantly some creepy dudes who should be kicked out of the club. We have guys running around in circles . Dropping there hats on the floor trying to look up girls dresses and the "security "did nothing . We have guys walking around waking by and hitting my ass and then waking away! Then to make the night more complete we have a group of obvious guys trying to put there nasty hat on girls head would not leave girls alone as the security guard stands there and does nothing . I told this guy for 10 min stop leave me alone I don't want Your hat on my head he would not stop. Then there is this girl who is completely blacked out and some guy is fingering her in the club . Why are these Security guards just standing around! In was highly disappointed , the music on sucked . It was not great Mixing, I think my pandora would of done a better job . The guy even repeated songs from like 2 hrs ago . He played cool music you like to listen to in your car but not dance to. Overall this night was a bust . I am hoping it was just a bad and off night here.my friend swears this is a great club and normally these issues don't happen. I am from San Diego so I don't know if this is the best these club/bar gets or if it was an off night . I really hope they can fix these minor issues of poor customer service , they need there bar tender to take some bar tending lessons , a dj who knows how to mix music and play dance music , lastly take care of the drunk obnoxious guy , don't let that poor girl who was blacked out get taking advantage of . read more

I'm surprised there are not more reviews for this venue. As good as it gets for a small town such as Bellingham. Went here on a Saturday night, it was packed from 11 PM and onwards. Talked with two bartenders and two bouncers, jovial for the most part. I've experienced noticeably better music options, but still above average. read more

I love this place but the two girls that took my cover were EXTREMELY unprofessional. It is New Years and I was expecting to pay covers tonight, but I was not expecting to be this unsatisfied with a club staff. Once I was inside I was enjoying myself, but the front of house was inexcusable. read more

The Underground is by far the best night club I have ever been to. I've been to ones from Vancouver, Canada all the way to Cancun. The staff is awesome! If you have any problems all you need to do is talk to the security team and they will instantly address the problem. Bartenders' are excellent and always greet you with a smile. The music that the DJs' spin is outstanding! If you get the urge to go out and dance go there first! You won't be disappointed! read more

Lots of dancing and usually a big crowd. It's a bit expensive though. It all depends in the vibe you're going for.

I came here on a Friday night. I didnt think it would get crowded but it did around 12. I think the cover was like $5. I wasnt really feeling the DJ until later in the night he started playing better music, or maybe they switched. Its very dark & foggy in there. If you're a woman and you wear heels, just watch out for cracks in the concrete on the dance floor. The bar service was pretty good. The diversity of club goers is great here too (compared to glow down the street). Young, old, students, military, white, black, hispanic, etc. it was very diverse, whoever you are, you wont feel out of place. Eat before you go, theres no food which is normal for a club. read more

Clean/great staff and amazing place to play as a band and to hear a band. There needs to be places like THIS in Seattle!
