There were paintings and drawings, sculptures, and then on another floor there were jewelry, nail artists, soap maker, etc. They were also giving away free pancakes, although you got one pancake at a time so that was a little disappointing. There was a bar where you could buy drinks.. My friend who is a creative person really enjoyed the event there. I did not end up buying anything although there were some nice products for sure. One of only two "mainstream" after-hour venues left in Vancouver (the other being 816 The Bassment). Atmosphere and lineup-wise, I definitely prefer Gorg over 816. Some call it sketchy, others call it part of the charm, but I call it a place to lose myself in the music and feel the bass rattle my bones thanks to the epic custom-built sound system. Apparently, there are even subs under the wooden benches at the front of the club. If you've never put your back against the honeycombs, you have to try it once. To anyone talking about feeling unsafe, I personally never felt that way despite the fact that I usually go solo too. You just have to use your common sense, keep an eye on your drinks at all times, and let the staff know if someone is making you uncomfortable. Cover charge is on the average side ($30 last I was there a couple months ago) for downtown nightclubs, but what isn't expensive these days thanks to the cost of inflation? Well maybe it can or is a night club at one point. Not sure about that. The venue wasn't bad. There is a stage in the venue, a bar area and bar high top tables at the back. I went there on my very third day here in Canada, it was the first and the last place of dance that I've visited because they cover everything, something really good about them is that they have a very good service of "lost and found" if you have how to prove that the thing that you lost is yours, also, they treat you really nice if you're nice with them too, because they have to deal with many drunk people. I still go to their events after a year, and I'd like to add something that I really like about them is that they always response if they did something wrong and you let them know it.
