During an incredibly difficult time for our family after the loss of a loved one, we needed catering for a memorial service. From the very first interaction, this catering company showed a level of compassion and empathy that meant more to us than words can fully express. The owner she was not just professional but she was genuinely caring. She took the time to understand what our family needed during such a painful moment and handled everything with patience, grace, and respect. It truly felt like she cared about our family beyond just providing a service. The food was outstanding farm to table fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared but what stood out just as much was the comfort she brought us during such a trying time. Knowing that part of the day was in her hands allowed us to focus on grieving and supporting one another without added stress. Her compassion, attention to detail, and calm presence made a difficult day a little easier to get through. We are deeply grateful for the kindness she showed our family. I would highly recommend her to anyone, especially those needing someone who not only delivers amazing food, but also leads with heart. Truly exceptional service in every way. read more

She catered our sickle cell holiday party and the food was amazing! Everything was very flavorful . Even the picky kids ate the veggies, they were seasoned so well. Thanks for wonderful experience. read more

I usually visit Lift for coffee, so I was delighted to see that the Under Chiefs serve brunch there sometimes. You can tell the chef's work hard!! I would make sure to give them as much time as possible if you call-to order since it seems like it gets busy! We ordered a variety of waffles for a brunch picnic date with the girls and it was delicious!!! It's heavy and filling, but sometimes that's what you want haha. Got a free waffle with yelp check in too :) Latkes: crispy, savory, and delicious. I was full after half a waffle, so I saved it for two meals!! Cute microgreen sprouts on top too. Lemmon poppy seed waffle: Had some blueberries sprinkled and it was refreshing and sweet! Chocolate chip Belgian waffle: Not a huge fan of this one, but that's a personal preference. I loved the fresh fruits on top tho! read more

As a long time Lift coffee customer, I was so excited to hear they were going to serving food as well. The fact that the Under Chiefs are a Black owner small business is also amazing! The food is sooooooo good! Everything was just right! I usually am very picky about how my eggs are cooked but without any requests, the egg cane out just how I like it. Perfect place for a pick me up brunch and then a date at Fairmount Park. read more

Because I'm currently headed back here for the second day in a row, I figured they deserved a review. My husband and I are obsessed with the Bacon and Egg Bagel. Although Under Chiefs is small, as a foodie, this is arguably the best tasting food in Riverside. They bring a culinary expertise and creativity to breakfast favorites in a way no one else in the area is. We've been here probably 5-10 times during COVID and the food is always delicious and prepared quickly. We've gotten the fancy avocado toast and the Huevos Rancheros also - really good as well. Hope they get all the business they deserve! read more

Ordered two huevos rancheros, Blueberry waffle and the tax collector. ALL GOOD!! I just wish that we could have eaten inside while the food was just cooked and plated because I also understand that despite the crunchy tortillas becoming soggy by the time I got home, was par for the course and I won't and can't blame the restaurant. The food was amazingly delicious and I just wish I'd ordered more, but it's ok cuz I'll DEF be back!! Thank you Under Chief's for providing great food in a great ambiance. P.S. I didn't take pics of my food because I was too busy eating! I'm an eater, not photographer. read more

The Under Chiefs provide the best brunch of the Inland Empire. They are consistently good. Every single dish is handcrafted fresh with all the right touches. Every menu item I've tried so far has been superb, but my favorite is the waffles benny. The waffles are a perfect crisp with tiny bites of caramelized sugar crystals which pair perfectly with the savoriness of the bacon and eggs. Today, I tried the Latke cheese waffle which was incredible as well. It was so rich and perfectly balanced out with micro green sprouts on top. Everything is just right at a price point that is a steal. I am so impressed with their flavor combinations, fresh, quality ingredients, customer service and speed. Taking care to protect our health, they are providing take out during this time. read more

I discovered this through Yelp course and decided to go on it adventure and check it out. It was a off beaten path in a business plaza to be able to find this little bistro Café but worth it. Loved the coffee aroma as soon as you walk in to a very industrial hipster vibe coffee house. I ordered the Land of honey waffle and OG avocado toast with my pumpkin spice latte from Lift Coffee and it was so so so delicious! If you're looking for something new I need a quick bite to eat this is the place right off of Chicago Avenue. I'm definitely coming back to try what's next! read more

We ordered the el guapo tacos, fancy avocado toast, and the chocolate chip waffle. Everything was absolutely amazing! The tacos were soooo good and full of flavor. The avocado toast was really good too! And the waffle, well who doesn't love a chocolatey chippy waffle with whipped cream on top??? Definitely plan on coming back here again! Loved it! read more

Had my first visit here on 8/8/2020 while looking for breakfast in the Riverside area (where options are slim). I came across reviews for The Under Chiefs and knew I had to try Biscuits and Gravy. Yes, I capitalized that on purpose: biscuits and gravy tell you everything you need to know about a breakfast place - and the ones here are something special. The biscuits are dense yet light, the gravy not a drippy mess, and the sausage AND bacon gravy was unctuous in the best possible way. The menu says they're served with sprouts - mine weren't, but had green onions. Service was also fast, so the food was supremely fresh - critical in our COVID-19 world. read more

WOW! This is a hidden gem for foodies and breakfast lovers alike. High quality ingredients, unique and flavorful dishes, with excellent and friendly service. You really won't find any food quite as exceptional in the area, so do yourself a favor and try them out. 2 things to keep in mind.. 1. Kinda hard to find as the business (inside of Lift coffee) isn't directly on Chicago. Lift typically has a sign on the street so you know where to turn, just head back into that shopping center and keep your eyes peeled. 2. Hours: Saturday & Sunday brunch 9 am -2 pm. Monday, Tuesday and Friday lunch 10 am -3 pm. And taco Tuesday, the last Tuesday of the month from 3 pm - 6 pm (I think.. you might want to call to make sure I got the taco hours right) Don't let the hours of service deter you, this food is divine and sooooo worth scheduling a time or a trip to come check it out. read more

The dynamic duo of The Under Chiefs did it again! The. Food. Was. Delicious. My husband and I could not stop raving as we were devouring our meals. The meals were spectacular! Quality ingredients with a superb taste. The service was amazing- we ordered our food and it was delivered in a prompt manner. Ordering on their website was easy and there are several payment options which I greatly appreciate as a customer. I also appreciated the labeling of each individual meal and the inclusion of utensils. I have so many more great things to say but I don't want this review to become an essay! Literally wait all week to eat their avocado toast on the weekends. It is amazing. Can't wait to try other brunch items.

I booked the under chiefs for a crepe bar for my baby shower. They were on time and they even had their own table that they centered around my theme. Their price was super affordable. They had different packages available at different price ranges. The quality of the crepes and the fruit accompaniments was excellent. Everything was delicious. It was one of the highlights of my baby shower. All my guests raved about it. The under chiefs also made me a homemade piggy bank as a baby shower gift. It was the cutest unexpected touch. I will definitely be booking them again in the future. read more

Sitting in here now and it has a cool vibe. Staff super friendly and helpful. Food is amazing well at least what I had. Biscuits and Gravy isn't your standard flavor, but is packed with flavor. I think it's pretty cool that Lift Coffee has this little enterprise under it's roof. The food was tasty and seemed to be good quality. The couple running it, seem nice and customer service oriented. We had a waffle and avocado toast. Both were good. My only dislike was that there was too much aïoli mayonnaise on the avocado toast but I'll just ask for none or very little next time. I do wish they wore their gloves more, but overall they seemed to be prepping in a clean manner. I. Would eat from them again. read more

Right now I am working from home, but I almost can't wait to go back to the office as the Under Chiefs is right across the street from my work! Hipster joint, and located inside a warehouse. It's a strange location and not a cafe feel if that's what you're looking for. Unfortunately, after waiting over 30minutes outside and not being greeted or even acknowledged, we left. Several servers even passed by us and said nothing, but instead squeezed by us as if we were in the way. Well if we're in the way then you won't be getting our business ever. You might want to acknowledge customers who don't just want lift coffee but also want to sit down for a meal. Check out the nearby airport cafes if you want some good service and good food - and they also have avocado toast! read more
