She took the time to understand what our family needed during such a painful moment and handled everything with patience, grace, and respect. It truly felt like she cared about our family beyond just providing a service. The food was outstanding farm to table fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared but what stood out just as much was the comfort she brought us during such a trying time. Knowing that part of the day was in her hands allowed us to focus on grieving and supporting one another without added stress. Her compassion, attention to detail, and calm presence made a difficult day a little easier to get through. We are deeply grateful for the kindness she showed our family. I usually visit Lift for coffee, so I was delighted to see that the Under Chiefs serve brunch there sometimes. You can tell the chef's work hard!! I would make sure to give them as much time as possible if you call-to order since it seems like it gets busy! We ordered a variety of waffles for a brunch picnic date with the girls and it was delicious!!! It's heavy and filling, but sometimes that's what you want haha. Because I'm currently headed back here for the second day in a row, I figured they deserved a review. My husband and I are obsessed with the Bacon and Egg Bagel. Although Under Chiefs is small, as a foodie, this is arguably the best tasting food in Riverside. They bring a culinary expertise and creativity to breakfast favorites in a way no one else in the area is. We've been here probably 5-10 times during COVID and the food is always delicious and prepared quickly. We've gotten the fancy avocado toast and the Huevos Rancheros also - really good as well. I just wish that we could have eaten inside while the food was just cooked and plated because I also understand that despite the crunchy tortillas becoming soggy by the time I got home, was par for the course and I won't and can't blame the restaurant. The Under Chiefs provide the best brunch of the Inland Empire. They are consistently good. Every single dish is handcrafted fresh with all the right touches. Every menu item I've tried so far has been superb, but my favorite is the waffles benny. The waffles are a perfect crisp with tiny bites of caramelized sugar crystals which pair perfectly with the savoriness of the bacon and eggs. Today, I tried the Latke cheese waffle which was incredible as well. It was so rich and perfectly balanced out with micro green sprouts on top. Everything is just right at a price point that is a steal. I am so impressed with their flavor combinations, fresh, quality ingredients, customer service and speed. I discovered this through Yelp course and decided to go on it adventure and check it out. It was a off beaten path in a business plaza to be able to find this little bistro Café but worth it. Loved the coffee aroma as soon as you walk in to a very industrial hipster vibe coffee house. I ordered the Land of honey waffle and OG avocado toast with my pumpkin spice latte from Lift Coffee and it was so so so delicious! Had my first visit here on 8/8/2020 while looking for breakfast in the Riverside area (where options are slim). I came across reviews for The Under Chiefs and knew I had to try Biscuits and Gravy. Yes, I capitalized that on purpose: biscuits and gravy tell you everything you need to know about a breakfast place - and the ones here are something special. The biscuits are dense yet light, the gravy not a drippy mess, and the sausage AND bacon gravy was unctuous in the best possible way. The menu says they're served with sprouts - mine weren't, but had green onions. Service was also fast, so the food was supremely fresh - critical in our COVID-19 world. read more

Kinda hard to find as the business (inside of Lift coffee) isn't directly on Chicago. Lift typically has a sign on the street so you know where to turn, just head back into that shopping center and keep your eyes peeled. 2. Hours: Saturday & Sunday brunch 9 am -2 pm. Monday, Tuesday and Friday lunch 10 am -3 pm. And taco Tuesday, the last Tuesday of the month from 3 pm - 6 pm (I think.. you might want to call to make sure I got the taco hours right) Don't let the hours of service deter you, this food is divine and sooooo worth scheduling a time or a trip to come check it out. read more

Hipster joint, and located inside a warehouse. It's a strange location and not a cafe feel if that's what you're looking for. Unfortunately, after waiting over 30minutes outside and not being greeted or even acknowledged, we left. Several servers even passed by us and said nothing, but instead squeezed by us as if we were in the way. Well if we're in the way then you won't be getting our business ever. You might want to acknowledge customers who don't just want lift coffee but also want to sit down for a meal.
