I'll give a break down of how I cam to this rating…read more Let's start with 3 stars, as an average score. -1 Star: Uncommunicative and terse emails. -1 Star: Delivering my shipment 3 days later than the promised time frame. -1 Star: Losing the inventory and not having proper record of which things belonged to my shipment. -1 Star: Delivering to me an item that belonged to someone else. -1 Star: Damaging Furniture and boxes -1 Star Promising to repair said furniture, stretching it out for a month, and then not following through. So that leaves them with a final score of negative 3 stars. Here is the longer version: I hired them to for my move from Nova Scotia to Quebec. They picked my things up on time, and I did not hear from them afterwards. As the time frame for delivery approached, a week or two later, I sent them an email asking if they had an ETA, the response to which was a single line of text stating that it would not be arriving in the original time frame due to unforeseen circumstances. When my things eventually arrived, I was given an inventory sheet by the movers which was obviously a sloppy recreation of the original - it did not have all of my items marked on it, many of them without numbers or descriptions. It even had an item on it that did not belong to me. There was damage done to a few of my items. My spinning wheel was in pieces, and the damage it received was obviously done after it had for some reason been removed from the shipping blankets that they originally put it in. A plastic Tote was broken apart in one of it's corners, and a cardboard box had a large hole in it - when I unpacked the box, I found a rock in the bottom of it (obviously the cause of the hole) I called up the owner of the business, Jeff Smith, in regards to the damage and he could not speak to me without yelling and talking over me. He stepped away from the phone at one point to yell abusively at someone else in his office as well. After being on the phone with him for an hour, he agreed to have my spinning wheel repaired, telling me that he could pick it up from me soon and ship it to the person that knew how to repair it. A week later, I received a message from him telling me that he would pick it up at the end of the month (2 1/2 weeks away) when the end of the month was approaching, I sent him an email asking him for an ETA and he did not respond. Three more weeks later, I get a phone call out of the blue - more than a month since I last heard from anyone at this company - at 9:00PM on a weekday, from a truck driver telling me that he'd be at y place within an hour to pick up the spinning wheel. At this point I had no trust or patience for these people left, so I told them that wasn't going to work. I sent another email to Jeff suggesting that he give me the money that he was going to pay the wood worker to repair the wheel, so that I can find someone nearby me to do the repairs, and he has not responded.

Show up late at both ends of the job, charge more than quoted, They are movers, they move slowly in every possible way. Show up hours late at the start and days late at the end. Don't look for polite, courteous people- not part of their vocabulary. Jeff doesn't remember us from a number of years ago. But we remember him and his band of men very well. It even took him two months to return our ladder that he misplaced some how. I'm not confused about this company, they don't like bad reviews. They didn't like them then and still don't like them.

THESE GUYS ARE SCAM ARTISTS! They overcharge, lie, deceive, and the owner "Jeff" is an arrogant and…read moreignorant liar. He will swear, call names, talk over you, and put you down if you even attempt to dispute being overcharged, or damages. My brother and I hired this company to move the contents from a 1-bedroom apartment that was being held in a storage unit from Elmsdale Nova Scotia, to Orillia Ontario. The company had originally quoted us $1500, however, upon pickup they charged his credit card $4694.09. According to their initial paperwork, payment was to be processed at delivery, so to see this charge within an hour of pick up and no documentation to say that the load was received was nerve racking to say the least. The items were picked up on October 24th however, none of the items were tagged, the manifest was not provided, and no paperwork was provided to say that the load was even received. We tried to contact the business multiple times at multiple phone numbers over the next few days with absolutely no response. The delivery did end up showing up on the 27th, at which time the manifest and invoice was provided. When we tried asking the movers whom we needed to speak with to find resolution for the invoicing issue, the employees unloading the truck simply laughed and said, "good luck". According to their invoice, the total cubic footage of the load was 631.86 cubic feet at at $6.46 per cubic foot. This is not even a remotely accurate estimate of the load in question. We measured the cubic feet of the load item by item, which worked out to 297.7 cubic feet. The truck the items were delivered in was on 780 cubic feet, and the load did not even fill half of the trailer. We tried following up with them via email, and they would not respond. We tried calling them and when we finally got them on the phone, Jeff (the owner) simply yelled, threatened, called us names, used profanity, and hung up the phone. They charged us WELL above the accurate amount, and certainly well above the quoted amount. Again, we were quoted $1500, and even if this estimate was not in line with their price per cubic feet, we measured each and every item that was delivered and it was not even close to the proposed cubic footage. They have absolutely robbed us blind, deceived us, unlawfully charged us an obscene amount of money, and are not even willing to discuss anything or rectifying the issues.
