You can also watch as he makes different pieces right in front of you. Sparky seems to really enjoy talking to the people who come into his shop, and makes you feel right at home. He offers glass blowing classes that take about an hour, and (if memory serves) costs $60... maybe $50. My wife has always wanted to do some glassblowing so I purchased a session for her. He provides all of the necessary items for the class, and is very attentive and helpful. We were both incredibly impressed with not only his ability and knowledge but also with his skills as an instructor. My wife made a bear and three glass ornaments. They turned out beautifully, and will be treasured forever. I really can't oversell this experience. Even though I was just the one watching, it was amazing to be there and get to see my wife make those things. Whether you want to take a class or just go check out the things Sparky has made, it is a worthwhile trip.

He and hubby (Navy vet) talked about their service, and when Sparky discovered hubby served 40 years, he even gave him an ornament in red, white and blue. I love that he supports vets and first responders. This place is definitely worth the stop on the Arts & Crafts Community loop.

ABBBBBSolutely love this place!…read more Stopped here on a whim after driving through the busy, touresty looking main town. Didn't really want to be in all the hustle and bustle so we figured we would look for some quieter, more local shops. The name intruiged me, as I love looking at fancy olive oils and balsamics but have never purchased any. The shop ownere was so nice and walked us through some different kinds while offering samples. I really like that you can purchase a standard size bottle OR a smaller half size bottle. We ended up going with an olive oil and a few balsamics: Tuscan Herb Olive Oil Black Garlic Balsamic Tomato Basic Balsamic Lemon Cucumer Balsamic Pineapple Balsamic We opted for all smaller bottles except the Tomato Basil & Black Garlic. These two are my favorites by far!!! SOOOOOO GOOD! I've had balsamics I've liked before but these are reallllllly worth the money. The prices actually are pretty fair if I'm comparing to some other olive oil shops I've been to, so based on that I splurged a little with all the oils I got. BUT... I figured "how often will we be back here... might as well go crazy and get all the ones I like." FYI - this seller also sells online!!! Overall - awesome shop! SO glad we stopped here!

I loved being able to sample and get ideas for use and the whole area I found things. And the sub shop is to die for also!! This will forever be on my list of places to visit. I look forward to cooking and sharing the products I purchased with my loved ones!! Thank you so much from Columbus OH - IO

I took my female students to Gatlinburg for a retreat weekend and we found Firefly Glass Studio for…read moresomething to do. It was amazing! Our GPS got us there - there were also signs pointing to where to go! I'm not quite sure where to start as we had an AMAZING experience at Firefly! There is no set class times or anything - it's just come as you can/when you can. The studio was smaller than I had expected, but that's ok. It was perfect! There were 4 other people inside when we got there and we had enough spaces without us being on top of each other. Originally, we were going to do just 1 piece each. But we all had so much fun and it went much quicker than we had thought, that we ended up doing 2 pieces each! The options were a 5x5 tray ($40), a 3x3 ring tray ($22), a funny face magnet ($18), a hangy thing (a sun catcher type thing - $20), or a pendant ($20). The prices include the shipping. Nancy, the owner, fires everything up in her kiln to put it together and then sends it to you. I cannot wait to get our pieces back in the mail. We picked our pieces and started working on them. When you figure out what you want, you use a bit of Elmer's glue to lightly glue it in place. It was so fun trying to decide what to do and to let the creative juices flow! I HIGHLY recommend visiting Firefly Glads Studio when you're in the Gatlinburg area. Nancy, the owner, was amazing to work with and super sweet!
