When we came here almost 1 year ago our daughter had zero confidence in herself at school and a complete dislike of school. We had tried multiple methods of at home tutoring and they all seemed to be doing more harm than good. Then The Tutoring Center opened in Tomball. We walked in to get a feel for the place, before they were even open for business mind you, and were greeted by Venora Goodie. Venora is the headmaster if you will and her calm confidence had my wife and I hooked immediately. Her plan for our daughter was straight forward and she was a joy to meet. After nearly 1 year in the program our daughter has flipped a complete 180. Her confidence and attention to detail are incredible. She is excited to wake up and go to school and has started forming strategies to get assistance on classwork before it gets overwhelming. We could not be more impressed or proud. My experience at The Tutoring Center Tomball was great. My child's and I first visit was to take advantage of the free assessment advertised. The free assessment was given in a very clear, concise and interactive manner for my son. The application process was short but very detailed. It provided the missing information to complete the assessment process from a parents perspective. After the assessment was complete and based on the answers I was provided; I was gifted with a very informative manual that is beneficial on how to better assist my son in his academics. Best practices for home and school to ensure his successes. It provided clear direction on how to identify certain academic behaviors and resolutions on how to best deal with them. I recommend The Tutoring Center Tomball to all parents and students. There are plans for all students no matter where there are academically. My son has been attending The Tutoring Center for 3 months and we have seen huge improvements in with his reading skills and his self confidence! Before starting my daughter at the Tutoring Center in Tomball, I visited several other learning centers in the area. I chose this center because Mrs. Goodie made us feel very welcome from the first time we visited. She spent a lot of time with us explaining the program and the process to help my daughter gain confidence in herself and her schoolwork. My son recently started at The Tutoring Center and we absolutely love it. They completed a diagnostic assessment that showed what grade level my son was currently at in different subjects compared to where he should be.
