Ask the Community - The Treasure Box Gift Shop

What prices to the rings range in?

When I went, rings were on sale. And I found rings started at about $15 (before discount). Gemstones started in the $30s.

TJ Maxx is definitely a guilty pleasure for me because I never know what I am going to walk out…read morebuying. My friend and I visited this past Sunday to do some Christmas shopping and I ended up buying at least 2 or 3 of the items I needed. This location is actually a lot cleaner and more organized than other locations which was nice! It is located off of Marconi Ave in the same shopping center as Trader Joe's and Five Below. They had a ton of wrapping paper and lots of great items for stocking stuffers and White Elephant gifts. I love finding random items that I never knew I needed! I bought around 8 items for under $60 so it was definitely a good deal! Staff were friendly and the check out line moved quickly!

Even if it is a bit of a drive from our house, we do visit every now and then. The store is quite expansive, and quite well lit. Me and my poor eyes don't have to squint to read the fine print or even make use of my glasses. There's the odd item on the floor left behind by uncaring or reckless customers...especially on busy days, so a bit of care should be exercised when walking the aisles. The place does get crowded, especially on the weekends. Parking feels a bit limited, but of course, a public lot is never under the store's control. The price is reasonable. And the staff, if on hand, are very helpful...trying to be cheerful on crowded, busy days. There's a lot to see, so be prepared to spend an hour or more during your visit. Not a bad place to spend your time...and money.

The store is always neat, organized, and doesn't have the smell that is far too common in other consignment and second hand stores. That's because you are in a boutique honey and you can tell that the owners Abe and Val put a lot of care into the items and how the store is presented. I have never consigned there but I've shopped there for years and have enjoyed the treasures I've found. There is something for every kind of style and they carry all kinds of brands including high end luxury brands. They not only have pieces in-store but you can shop online and even during their live shows hosted on their social media platforms. They have top tier customer service and everyone who's ever helped me is always pleasant, positive people that go above and beyond to help. The parking lot of the where it's located is one way in and one way out so you will need to enter in the driveway closest to the Tupelo coffee shop and exit the driveway on the other end of the lot. It's in a great area, so if you want to shop, go have food and drinks, you have lots of options even within walking distance making it a a great day out!

Deseret is great go to for basics. Need some new jeans, a blazer, mens shirt, etc? I always check here first because they have a large array of things & sizes. My guy is tall, so we have a harder time. I also always check for blankets & fabric, as well as office supplies. Yep, for my home office. The outside area is an adventure, you never know what you will find. A few weeks ago I came for shorts and found a painting! I used to find great clothes, but sadly Deseret is getting so much "plastic" donations. Shein is taking over. I sew, so I would always find some great pieces to alter to my size & liking. The mens section is still good, but the womens is thin. Parking is always easy. The store is very clean, and Managers are very approachable for questions & pricing (the ladies, the men always seem stressed out and not so approachable. Just my opinion). The prices have gone up a little, but are still very good. My daughter lives in LA, and we always stop in when she is here. A Sacramento gem.

I typically like this thrift store. I like the amount of items and price and quality.

The lady working, Summer, immediately greeted us while finishing up her chat with some other shoppers. Once they left it was only my sister Jamie and I remaining in the shop. Summer approached with the typical ice breaking questions...."how are you? What are you shopping for?" Our response "Good, thank you, we're only looking." As we were thumbing threw hangers, anything my sister touched Summer was right there to size and style her. Grabbing more than what my sister was looking at and setting up a dressing room for her. Anytime Jamie would ask me something, Summer would answer for me while piling more clothes into the dressing room Summer decided she needed. Fast forward to cashing out, Jamie ended up with 6 items, 2 of the items she was unsure of and felt pushed into getting. But figured she'll return them if needed. Three days later Jamie decides she wants to return the two items, so we head back down to Wild Poppy Co. We get there, we're at the register with the owner of Wild Poppy Co. Everything was cool until the owner pulled out a gift card. Jamie hesitated a little and asked if she could get her money back. Leaving in two days to fly back to the east coast, a gift card was not useful for her. And buying more of their product didn't sit comfortably with either of us. The owner explained their return policy (10 days to return an item and money spent on that item you will get back on a gift card) and when Jamie had shared that wasn't part of Summers conversation with us, the Owner reassured us (gaslight tf outta of us) that "Summer is usually really good at telling people the return policy." It was obvious that we both were uncomfortable in the lack of regard provided by the owner. Jamie left with a gift card to a store that neither of us, and hopefully others, will not be returning to. If mean-girls from high-school is your vibe, this is your store!

Out of the various thrift stores in Sacramento and the surrounding areas, "Noah's Ark Thrift &…read moreGift" has got to be one of the cleanest places I have been to. Located directly on Watt Ave (and just south of Whitney Ave) in the Arden-Arcade neighborhood of Sacramento, this place has been operating since mid-2024. Prior to them vacating this space, this was once a furniture store with other various businesses before that including a dollar store and video game store. Hopefully Noah's Ark will stick around for quite awhile. A little bit of backstory about this company; the money and revenue that is generated here helps support the ministry in Ukraine which helps families of the soldiers that have had to serve the frontlines. This includes fallen heroes as well as soldiers who have had to endure losing limbs that have to face very intense rehabilitation after their service in the Ukrainian military. To me, this is a huge impact when I know my money is going towards a very positive cause. The exterior parking lot has more than enough space as the two separate times I have been here, finding a spot to park has been a breeze. There are also several other small businesses that share this parking lot. As for the thrift store itself, the place is absolutely clean to a tee. Upon entry, I was greeted by the young man behind the counter. Store hours are very generous as they are open for business Monday-Thursday from 10am-6pm and Friday-Saturday from 9am-7pm while being closed every Sunday. As for the inside of this place, everything is laid out exceptionally well. You will find a huge assortment of glasses, kitchenware, vintage and near-new clothing/apparel, jewelry, books/CD's/DVD's, solid wood furniture, and much more, all in very excellent condition. The cleanliness and organization of Noah's Ark really shows how much care and thought they put into their business. During both my visits, I found a name-brand shirt and some very nice kitchen items that looked nearly brand new and at reasonable prices. With generous hours, friendly service, and a nice variety of great finds, I am giving "Noah's Ark Thrift & Gift" a unanimous five-star rating.
