The ladies had some successful browsing/shopping: Mom -- a lovely, semi-sheer, colourful (reversible too!!), summer-wear dress, and for daughter -- an attractive, light & colourful, blouse top. Each of their selections got a big "wow, and I like" from me!! Looking forward to summer and seeing them in each!! :-) Fun and enjoyable visits to this fine women's fashion shop in Harrison, and some cool, neat, and 'cool' findings came home!!

One thing I appreciated when I've gone there is that she was willing to work out a deal which is always a nice thing about a small business. Her service is friendly and it's a cute little boutique. I check it out every time I'm in town. I recommend checking it out if you're ever in that neck of the woods :))

The owner brings in well made, unique and beautiful fashions that you won't see elsewhere in town. While I wouldn't classify Lolly's as a shop for the frugally minded, the quality of the clothes, and timelessness of the pieces that I have purchased there makes it worth the higher pricetag. I have gone there to be accessorized for an evening out (in my evening wear, hair done) and found the staff to be positively delightful - they had fun with me, chose the perfect accessories, and even steamed my dress for me. But yeah, they seem to fit in and even though they might not be as good for the smaller businesses, there seems to be a way that they can all fit in together and work out their territories. Wal-Mart is on the other side and just outside of downtown Merrit. Like the one in Squamish BC it seems to serve it's purpose by offering regular Wal-Mart type items for a good price. Pretty much everything you can find here, but not everything. There are things elsewhere in town that you just can't find in any Wal-mart. That is mainly character that doesn't fit in a big box. Still, if you can't find it elsewhere, it's always worth a chance to check it out here. And yes. I did enjoy walking through the aisles here a few times.
