I have put this in the teashops category for a reason; tucked away at the back of the ancient town hall (they use a new one for council affairs now) is a lovely place for a proper pot of tea that is so reasonably priced - plus you get to choose a couple of free biscuits too. Its an undiscovered gem - most tourists miss the entrance as they walk past, so don't make that mistake - go up the stairs and spend a very pleasant hour away from the hustle and bustle of the street below.
Sit, chat and study the stained glass windows and the ancient pictures in this room. The people that serve you are so friendly that they must be volunteers.
The town hall is easy to find as its in the middle of the high street - literally! The traffic has to flow either side of it. The place itself is great to walk around before or after you tea as it used to be the court and you can sit in the judges chair!
Please visit - its lovely and the money you spend helps the upkeep of the place. There are also lots of leaflets (some free) and books you can purchase about the local area and the town of Bridgnorth. read more
