I am giving 4 stars because Jasmine set the bar very high and I feel like other waxers I have seen at the North Charleston location haven't quite lived up to her standard. They are going through some management and company changes right now, so scheduling can be a bit wonky (I got three separate calls to confirm my most recent appointment, in addition to a text, but when I arrived I was placed with a different specialist than I had booked with), but everyone there is very friendly and apparently they are going to be offering more med spa services at this location very soon. Especially for someone like me who has a very busy work schedule. Now I'm not sure if my third experience was based on the time of day (evenings), but I know part of the issue is covid related. But I want to start it with the positives of this visit. I saw Bray, who is SUPER sweet and very attentive to my needs. She made sure my brows looked AMAZING, and kept my natural shape just cleaned up my bushy mess. She also talks to you during the process so you're never really in easy during the experience. Which of course we talked about threading and Brazilian waxing. She told me it's not so bad depending on who does it, and boy was she was right. The last time i was threaded (which was my first) it was super uncomfortable, but she actually made it relaxing. Now for the downfalls. I'm not sure if part of it was because the person I was scheduled with went home early or she "had a cancellation" (since they called at 5pm asking me if I could come in early). But anyways my apt was at 6:40pm and I arrived 5mins early. And then after checking in, I had to wait outside in the rain, in the dark. I understand they don't want guests waiting in the lobby or sitting in the chairs (due to covid). But I felt like if I stood inside in the corner (furthest from the reception desk which was over 6ft away) it would have been okay to make this exception. But also I waited outside from 6:35 to 6:53pm when my apt was 6:40. Now I'm sure this wasn't Brays fault, but I made an apt for a reason. So it was frustrating to wait nearly 20mins outside in the rain. If I knew it was running longer, I could have waited in my car or came slightly later. But really that was my only complaint. Other than that I am satisfied with the quality of work I received.

I have primarily used sugaring for my hair removal services because I have found it more comfortable to go through when compared to the use of hot wax. I have stayed with Christina for so many years because she is so attentive during the sessions, as well as very thorough. I have seen her grow her studio from a tiny space with few retail offerings to a larger spa-like atmosphere offering a variety of services in addition to just sugaring. The studio is exceptionally clean, and Christina has always been very conscious of this aspect, particularly around the pandemic restrictions we all operated under for several years. Christina and her staff are very present to clients and strive to offer extras - flavored waters, hot teas, cups of snacks, soft lighting and music - that make each visit seem like a small spa escape. They make sure clients are aware of recommendations for post-sugaring care and offer products from their own stock for purchase. All the products carried at the studio are high quality, all natural products that Christina and her staff have used and can confidently recommend. All of these things are "value adds" to the overall experience.
