This tiny cafe is easy to miss but missing it would be a mistake.
This is the self proclaimed oldest cafe in the Dale's (Derbyshire Dales) and if it has always been this good it isn't hard to see why it has lasted so long.
There is a good sized menu for one so small and the prices are really low (90p for a tea). The cafe is very snug and cozy and crammed with cycling ephemera. The staff were friendly and so very helpful. We walked in late Christmas eve afternoon and they put out chairs for us making us feel a little guilty.
There is a stock of games and puzzles to pass the time and our dog, or any dog, was welcomed and a water bowl provided.
Mum was particularly impressed that the freshly made scones came with real butter. read more
