The space is clean, sweetly decorated and welcoming. We loved the sitting/waiting room, which had sparse seating but included a small ottoman and large pouf with pillows where children could sit and read. Inside, by the beds, another small play area can be found. This was surprising and so helpful! For parents who come alone with more than one child, this space added great reassurance for the child being seen/treated by the dentist. Staff seemed a bit overwhelmed when we came. The TV over the chair they put my daughter in was broken so she was distracted and moving around the whole time. I wasn't a fun experience for her. Then the hygienist was so distracted by us declining the X-ray that she forgot to floss. Ended up being an inefficient cleaning unfortunately. The dentist was friendly though. When I called to cancel appt I was on hold for over 10 minutes. Needless to say we're seeking further care elsewhere. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would, absolutely shocked at the way this practice operates and treats patients. They were recommended by our regular family dentist, we'll be letting them know they should rethink their relationship with them. A cute kid-friendly looking office and cheeky name don't make up for running a business poorly. Individually the issues we experienced here may not be concerning, but all together our interactions with Dr. Posthuma and her staff show a lack of oversight, communication, and empathy in her practice. As a business owner myself, I know mistakes happen, but I also know I must recognize them, take responsibility, and find solutions to make sure they don't continue to happen. If I cannot do this then my customers, or in this case patients and their families, will not have confidence in my expertise or my word. If your expectations are to bring your child to a dentist's office that has good administrative and communication practices you should find a different dentist. read more

I've taken my kids to about 5 dental offices by far thus is the best one. Their facility is clean and new. They have TVs which is the thing that my kids enjoy the most during the visit. Dr. Megan is very professional and friendly. The dental assistant (I forgot her name) was amazing . They are soooo good with kids !!(I have been to pediatric dentist in uw area and they didn't know how to handle them). They also give you full size tooth paste, electrical tooth brush (they will give you new tooth brush head every 6 mo.), little toy, temporary tattoos, and very cute bag). Friendly staff! Very clean space. Kids can watch their own Netflix or Disney shows during their appointment. The office has a very cute ferry theme. And they are very thoughtful, not pushy, and more environmentally friendly than other practices. Easy (reserved) parking right in front of the office. Our 6yo son had to have some extensive dental work done and Dr. Megan did an amazing job making this otherwise dreadful experience a very pleasant and manageable one. My son's recovery went so smoothly and I almost swear he was the most polite and kind kid afterwards! Dr. Bean was incredible and must have worked some magic with that anesthesia! From the first visit I felt our son was in great hands and appreciate how thorough they were with his treatment and talking me through every step of the way. Then when he got an infection, the quick response, visits and follow up were so appreciated. I definitely felt the love and care for him and how professional and friendly Dr. Megan was as well as all staff. Come day of surgery I was so nervous and my son was excited! Like what kid is excited to have to do a dental surgery?! He was so comfortable and trusted everyone so much he was ready to go! I feel that speaks volume! He literally told me that afternoon he LOVES the dentist and wants to go back. I said "whoa bud, let's not have to do this again anytime soon!" I just had to say a BIG thank you and let you know how much this experience meant to my family. Having never been to a pediatric dentist before I didn't know what to expect, but The Tooth Ferry exceeded all my expectations. It was super clean and inviting. The hygienist was wonderful with our 16 month old - engaging with her in a fun and approachable way. They did an excellent job of not only making our daughter feel comfortable, but made it so educational for my husband and I. I didn't think it could get any better and then we met with Dr. Megan. She was a joy to talk to and answered all of our questions with so much valuable insight. It felt like we were not only talking to a trained medical professional, but also a loving mom of a toddler as well. Our visit to Tooth Ferry was an absolute dream. From scheduling to the actual appointment, we were handled with kind and helpful people. Every step of the process working with this office has been an absolute pleasure. Scheduling and preparing for the appointment were simple and pain free. Unfortunately, I was unable to make it to the appointment yesterday, but both my son and husband told me how lovely the office was and how wonderful each person with which they interacted were. My son left very motivated to take care of his teeth and is excited to go back in 6 months to show how he "reversed" his cavity. I was blown away by the take-away bag that was provided as well. Our family has been very happy with the care our daughter has received at The Tooth Ferry with Dr. Posthuma. From our very fist visit they made sure my daughter (who had some previous traumatic medical experiences) felt very comfortable. Marissa, Dr. Posthuma's dental assistant is so patient and very good at explaining exactly what is going to happen. They were also very transparent about cost of treatment and making sure I knew what to expect cost-wise after going through our insurance benefits. We saw that a Pediatric dentist was coming to our neighborhood and we were in need and eager to try them out. We were blown away! The office looks and feels great and the staff is so friendly. Our daughter is sensitive to sensory stimulation and Megan was extremely knowledgeable on how to approach her. Megan knew about this from our paperwork and even asked permission before talking about it in front of our daughter. She was very sensitive to our family needs. My daughter actually had fun and they worked at a level and pace that she was comfortable with. We were able to ask questions and did not feel at all rushed. My 9 and 6 year old got their teeth cleaned today. They were super friendly & professional. They gave me a lot of information about preventive care for their teeth. Also they are "green" so you get a normal size toothpaste & an electric Quip toothbrush on your first visit. So much better than the disposable travel toothpaste & plastic brushes. We have been bringing her here since her first appointment (at age 1) and they have always handled her (on good and bad days) with patience, gentleness, and information.
