I am on the hunt for as many new boba joints I can find in 2023 LOL. What a fun goal, huh? Well, after picking up my youngest daughter from school, we went to Barnes & Noble at The Mall of Victor Valley to pick up a couple books. I said to my daughter, let's go find a boba shop... there has to be something. Sure enough, we found Pho-licious that sold boba drinks in the food court. You're probably wondering why we're here at The Thirsty Cactus when I was just talking about boba drinks. Well, let's just say we were surprised by the bright pink lights and all the other fun colors when we walked into the food court area. I couldn't resist and had to explore the colorful delights that The Thirsty Cactus was showcasing LOL. What a fun place with such unique drinks and treats! We ended up getting the Chamango and Bionicos. The Chamango drink basically has fresh chunks of mangos with salty, spicy and tangy flavors of Tajín and chamoy. You can get it in smoothie form which is what I chose... there is another form, but I don't remember at the moment. It was really tasty and delicious! Mangos were crunchy and semi-sweet which was perfect. I will definitely buy it again! It is a little pricey at $8.99, but it is worth it. Its large cup size justifies the cost IMHO. Bionicos is a Mexican fruit bowl. I didn't know until I got home and googled it. It comes with a variety of chopped up fruits such as strawberries, cantaloupes, bananas, and apples drenched in Mexican cream topped with granola and shredded coconut. It was of good portions, but then again it was $12.99. Fruits aren't cheap nowadays. First time trying this... I have to say, it was good. I love fruits. Will I buy again? I really don't know. I may just try their other treats instead. Staff was very helpful and open to recommendations. Thank you! Like I said, prices are on the higher end, but if portions are huge, then it's well justified IMHO. Lots of variety of treats. Saturday, family and I were craving Mongolian BBQ and decided to go to the mall. As soon as we sat down before getting our food I saw The Thirsty Cactus and what caught my eye was all the agua frescas they had. My cousin and I went to get our food and then made our way here. They had a lot to choose from so it was hard because they all looked so refreshing. I don't remember if they said we are allowed to sample....I want to say yes, but not 100% sure. Either way....I got the mango one and OMG it was amazing. It wasn't too sweet and it was super refreshing. My goddaughter loved the mango one. I would like to think next time I will try another one, but tbh I will probably go for the mango one again. LOL They also have other stuff like Ice-Cream, Tostilocos, etc. I was soooo hungry I forgot to take pictures....lol Of course next time that will be the first thing I do. 0/10 recommend. I purchased what I expected to be their "Dubai chocolate styled strawberries" that came like the "build a bar" cup picture since it's what they claimed to be theirs. I received a complete piece of sh*t, for 15.99 to not received what they advertise is very infuriating. Got 2 orders of the Dubai strawberries. We got 2 a few weeks ago and again yesterday. First time we didn't know what to expect. We were disappointed yesterday. Very inconsistent. The first time it had crushed pistachios. This time I was waiting to see if it was layered. Nope nothing. It had barely any of the pistachio cream or whatever the green sauce is. For the price we paid (37.71) we would have thought it would include everything we got the first time. Rather drive to See of Sweet in Rancho or Halgrens in Upland. My friend and I decided to stop at this mall in the middle of our trip back from Las Vegas. Originally just a bathroom break, we decided to also get aguafrescas. It definitely caught our eye as this was located directly next to the entrance to the restroom by the food court. Pretty straightforward. They have a variety of aguafrescas displayed. They also have other types of beverages and snacks, like smoothies, champurrado, chamango, etc. I'd say they have many of the classics, but more. I got the large-sized Cucumber Lime aguafresca. I was more inclined to get this size because it was only 50 cents more than regular size. My total ended up being $5 before tax. The only sizes they list are regular and large. It was actually sweeter than I anticipated. I'm the type of person who doesn't need a ton of sugar for flavoring. Heck, I would have probably enjoyed it with zero sugar added. I have no idea what the local flavors are supposed to be, so perhaps I might be in the minority when it comes to that. In any case, it was a refreshing beverage on my way back home. Parking: Plenty, but from there, you'll probably have to walk a while towards here. I'm going to take a wild guess that the parking lot almost never gets full (unless MAYBE during November and December). If for any reason you're tired of stopping at Barstow on your way to/from Las Vegas, this mall would be a nice change in pace. And this stall is definitely a pleasant surprise, as it is nice to have when it's hot. read more

Went on a Thursday and got the Mango agua fresca. It was definitely not powder, you can always tell when Mango is artificial and this was not. I was definitely surprised. I also tried the Pineapple agua fresca and it was really good as well but not as surprising. Customer service was adequate, nice people, engaging, and considerate. I can't say if the product is good because i did not get to try! I orders a mocha Frappe!!! When the lady started making mine she was pouring cream in and the top came off in the blender. She then proceeded to take her hand and scoop the top out.... my problem is she is using the same gloves for every thing! Making drinks and taking money, using touch scrweb, ect... I asked her to redo the mix and SHE got upset!!! So i asked for my money back! She called someone.... I was giving my money back and told, "next time no refund". I'm from the imperial valley where all these snacks are the norm but I have yet to find anywhere in av that sells this stuff until now, even michocana ice cream doesn't have similar things. The girl here was very sweet and very quick for being alone and having a few costumers at once.
