The first time I stayed at Theodore was for a quick getaway. I picked Theodore as they had interesting themed rooms that were relatively cheaper compared to the other boutique hotel in that row. I also saw on their website that the hotel is pretty quirky, and being the artsy traveller that I am, I took a quick liking to the place.
When I got there, the photos did not do justice to the hotel. It was so adorably pretty, with so many interesting items and conversation pieces, I could just stay in the lobby all day. Well, not really. Their rooms are beautiful, too. Spacious, neatly laid out and with amenities like day beds, an iPod dock, etcetera.
They also have a spa, which I of course tried. I like the thought that in such a small hotel, there's a spa and you can have a massage done, cross the hallway or climb a flight of stairs and you're right at your room. Another feature I like about the hotel is their dining and lounge area at the back where you can play board games or read books readily available, while eating or having a cup of coffee, with a nice view of the Taal Volcano and Lake, of course. read more
