First, the security guard asked us 10 different questions and it felt like an interrogation. We felt so unwelcome. Already, it was a terrible experience! Since we first spoke on October 5 and upon arrival, not a single person from your sales team reached out or followed up -- despite confirming the appointment for October 17 and assuring me that it was "noted." We waited for 20 minutes in your office, were eventually led to the "blue room" to meet the salespeople, and still waited endlessly. No one seemed to know what was going on. The entire experience was disorganized, unprofessional, and a total embarrassment for what's supposed to be a reputable resort. What makes this worse is that I had been messaging since October 5, trying to coordinate. Had your team shown even a fraction of professionalism, you could've had a full week's stay from guests who have shared stages with Tony Robbins and Oprah Winfrey, using your amenities daily and generating great exposure for your brand. Instead, you've shown a complete lack of awareness, urgency, and business sense. Opportunities like this don't knock twice -- and you've managed to slam the door shut on yours. Truly disappointing.

Issues would be that it is not conveniently located and a rental car would be highly desire if you are here on business. The hotel shuttle is hit or miss (even when paying for it) Even letting them know a day in advance I required the shuttle again to get to my customer I was told there was no transportation available. We all know that it is hot in the Philippines, and the hotel has decent air conditioning in the room but it only works while you are in the room with your key inserted in a receptacle by the door. When you get back to your room in the afternoon it is boiling and takes time for room to cool off. Because this trip was planned at the last minute, I have no one to blame but myself. In the future will choose to stay at another location because of the remoteness of this hotel. Hotel, amenities and restaurant get 4 stars but overall experience rates this visit and location at 3 stars.

We were a party of four with friends vacationing from the US. We booked in advance at booking.com.... the hotel was delightful. Clean and spacious. The lobby and the rooms we chose were overlooking the volcano. Of course, when we got there, the steam/ash from the volcano was covering the view. Nevertheless, the hotel has much to offer. We checked in at 2pm. The guests were few as we were allowed to check-in early. Normally, it's a 4pm check-in with a 2pm check-out. After relaxing at our rooms for a couple of hours, we decided to do the SPA. Best decsion we did that day. By the way they have an ice cream 'caritela' at the lobby . You must try the chocnut flavored ice-cream... the avocado too! All four of us truly enjoyed The VEDERA SPA. We did the 60 minute body scrub and 60 minute massage for 2800 pesos each. That was rejuvenating and relaxing. Our skin felt smooth and soft after the scrub and the massage, solid excellence - you can tell the staff are well trained therapist. Not just fly-by-day masseuse. After the massage, we had dinner indoors due to the ash fall. There was simple entertainment with a female singer accompanied by male guitarist. Pleasant tones I say. Even sang our requested songs. Come morning, the buffet was scrumptious. Tiny fried fishes were a favorite at our table. 'Tawilis' I believe. So many food options and they had TAHO!!! My childhood breakfast food...how wonderful was that! The buffet had all-american and filipino dishes. Oh and the steam/ash died down in the morning. Giving us a great view for breakfast. The concierge, counter staff, servers as well as the spa staff were great. Real assets of this hotel. Everyone was in smiles and ready to help at all times. I have always been skeptical about things like these mostly because I found it a bit fake - always best foot forward, they'll make sure everything is perfect and topnotch, mostly because they know someone is there paying close attention to anything and everything. I'm glad I took the offer because I saw and experienced first hand what they could offer. We were given a tour of the property, being shown the kinds of rooms they had, from the smallest suite that can fit up to four, to the biggest that can fit up to 8 comfortably. Only having less that 10 rooms, the whole hotel can only accommodate up to 40 guests. I'd like to see that as a good thing, because it can be occupied by one big family or group and they would have the entire property to themselves. My favorite would be the small room at the basement floor, which has a totally separate entrance at the side of the hotel. It has a small patio outside, complete with coffee table and perfect for quiet meals or reading a book. It's right by the highway, but just entering the lobby already gives that relaxed feel and vibe, it feels like you entered your home away from home. The general feel of the place is serene, very rustic, and exuding the relaxed and laid-back feel of the country. After all, this is Tagaytay, and there's no better quick getaway venue than the secluded Discovery Country Suites.

I have no Idea how much it was in $$$ but my sister told me that it's about 45$ full and 39$ senior discount lol. I think that's reasonable coming from California where most of everything are inflated. When we got here , there was a little bit of miscommunication, I guess my sister , who has been here before prior to Covid , they were able to use the credit card. Today is cash only lol. We barely have enough cash since my sister assumed that she can pay for all of us with her card. Anyway once we got here, this place is gorgeous. Deep in a jungle of Laguna. They have warm spring water pools. The main one up by the front had 3 pools , with tiny small falls. It was warm water but the trees shaded us from the sun so the water wasn't that warm. We also hiked to the hidden falls. It was quite a walk from the front. On the way to the falls there were more pools. One was the hidden pool and I believe the other was called hidden pool . Anyway the walk was brutal but fun. Up and down trails with cemented stairs steps. I really enjoyed coming over here. The fee came in with lunch and merienda. All in all . I have a great 5 star experience from the ppl that have greeted us to the ppl that was assigned to make sure we're safe. PH

Me and my family found the place very cozy and homey. The place had paintings, frames, designs, and other trinkets that made it feel like a house. Their bathrooms were also very clean.We later found out that it was a family owned hotel and restaurant built in honor of the parents. Because we were in Tagaytay, we had to try their Bulalo. It was the kind of Bulalo that you know is pure beef, no beef cubes used. The vegetables were fresh, the meat was tender and the broth was delicious. We knew that we found one of the best Bulalos in Tagaytay. Other than Filipino dishes, Morielli's also serves Gourmet Sandwiches, Italian Pasta and other cuisines. Aside from the food, the experience was very personal because the staff was engaging and we read about the family that owned the place and the very sweet Father-and-Son chefs. After our meal, the staff handed us cards/certificates that had our names on them, what it meant, and our qualities as a person. It was really touching and heartwarming indeed. After that, I just wanted to check-in and stay for a few days. This place felt like home; relaxing and very personal. Even if we just stayed for lunch.
