A short walk up the hill from the Eastern end of Liverpool St, the Domain Tennis Centre plays host each year to the little know Hobart International Women's Tennis Tournament, this year featuring Aussie Sam Stosur (currently ranked 18th in the world) as the top seed.
The tennis facilities are good with a couple of blue showcase 'plexicushion' courts and a number of gravel hard courts. The stands for centre court are intimate and I recommend the 'corporate' seating at the Northern end of the court if for no other reason than the cover from Hobart's wonderful climate! These seats also have a wonderful view out over the mouth of the Derwent River.
The amenities are also good, albeit the catering is a little simple which is to be expected for a small event like this.
