Nice location on the top floor of House of Fraser. Happened here on a sunny but cold autumn day, looking for some refreshments. Lots of nice tea related memorabilia and some great quotes about tea around the walls and on the menu. Service was prompt, menu was broad including a special Christmas menu that looked lovely. I had cottage pie served with coleslaw and salad, she had the soup of the day, tomato and basil with the obligatory tea. My pie was most excellent although the coleslaw was drowned in dressing. Her soup was tasty but a bit sweet for our taste, however very serviceable. A roaring trade was being had and this is clearly popular with the locals. Recommended- give it a whirl.

Fantastic dollhouse atmosphere in pastel colours, and adorable gold-rimmed porcelain. Delicious cakes and scones. This was not just a grub, it was a full afternoon tea experience. A bit pricey but very well worth it!

    Well presented delicious meals

It's a nice place with beautiful view and delicious food but some of them might be a little expensive

They don't clear the tables here. This is a actually two sets of customers dirty crockery. Yuc

Nice location on the roof of House of Fraser. Excruciatingly slow and shoddy service though. The tables aren't cleaned between customers which is a double sin given the current norovirus outbreak. We only ordered afternoon tea and lunch but waited over an hour for our order. We had to complain twice to get any action. We won't be back and recommend you avoid this place to start with. Particularly disturbed by the sight of one of the wait staff holding plates with his thumbs in the salad - poor wait staff training for sure. We will be using Purell when we are done here... My friend waited an hour for Welsh Rarebit only to be told that they couldn't do it because they ran out of onions! And you couldn't have one of the kitchen staff run next door to Sainsburys and buy a 5lb bag of onions? Final experience was that the cash tills "were down" so the bill had to be written up manually. House of Fraser - you need a new Cafe Manager, Wait Staff Supervisor and probably Chef too. Your Hygiene practices stink (no pun intended). PS. Don't bother calling the managers mobile rather cockily printed on the place mats because it just goes to voicemail. I gave them a chance to call me back before posting this.......FAIL!

Woodbridge Cafe is a neighbourhood breakfast and lunch diner that seems to be well-established in…read morethe community. I had breakfast on a few weekdays and the weekend, first ordering the breakfast specials (bacon, sausage, eggs), and gradually selecting smaller combinations to reduce the quantity of food to start the day! Every breakfast was cooked to order freshly, and was served piping hot within a few minutes. Having chips for breakfast somehow seems wrong, so I ordered and enjoyed the sauteed potatoes (and skipped toast, as loading on too many starches). The layout has a series of long tables with chairs, and a few seats at the window to look out onto the street. The clientele included a lot of workmen. Some ordered breakfast to be eaten right away, and then a sandwich as takeout, presumably for lunch. The posters of winners and losers for competitive eating -- the Mega Breakfast, and Burger Challenge -- were entertaining. They also reflect the good humour of the staff, continuously circling amongst the mostly quiet customers. I was staying at the Acacia Villas across the street, and stopped by on a few mornings on the way to the university. This place starts early in the day, and was closed by the late afternoons on my return.

BEST BREAKFAST IN GUILDFORD…read more (probably not for vegetarians) As a member of the building community I have been known to spend a rainy morning in the Woodbridge Cafe. What I love here is the good old fashioned 'greasy spoon' workers cafe atmosphere (not that it's greasy but you get my point). Drive past on a weekday morning and you will spot a sprawl of illegally parked work vans surrounding the small hut-like cafe. The service is friendly, the tables are clean and the food is delicious. There is a lot on the menu to choose from but I've honestly never given it a second look the only thing I ever go for is the biggest cooked breakfast on offer. Definitely worth a visit no matter what your walk of life also a good place to stop in for a cuppa!
