I made a reservation for two a few days before we wanted to go. Process was smooth. Arrived a few minutes before they opened at 11 & the doors were locked till exactly opening time. It's a light, airy space with adorable, classy tea decorations. The space feels small & pretty packed in. The set menu for tea is amazing. And too much to eat a once. Very inventive flavors & beautiful presentation. The tea options are outstanding. The reservation caps out at 90 minutes, but we ended up having to make a short-notice exit about 45 mins in, so they brought containers & our check quickly. They were very accommodating & friendly. I'm definitely going to come back with a bigger group next time, but i wonder how well it'll work out because you really feel like you're on top of the other tables. They do have party rooms available, but they are vastly more expensive than sitting in the main room. Hopefully my thoughts on the space don't overshadow the experience itself, I really enjoyed my time there & fully intend to go back a lot! read more

I really feel bad about giving this place 2 stars, but if I'm honest, my experience really could have been better. Please arrive early so that you'll have ample time to find parking and walk to the venue incase you're not lucky enough to find close parking. When our party of five entered, we just milled around for a bit in front of the door until a hostess greeted us. It was a bit awkward, especially since there is no waiting area. Soon, we were warmly greeted and seated. Our hostess began giving us information but we couldn't hear her because her voice was soft and there are many people enjoying conversations at their own table. The noise level is medium, which is fine. I just wish she would have spoken up. You will not know the ingredients of the items that you will be served before-hand which could potentially be bad for those with allergies. When were served our tier of food, there was an insect in our food. I was shocked when the hostess began using her fingers in the food to try and fish out the rapidly moving insect. I quietly suggested that she bring us a fresh tier of food. I guess she was just following her first instinct to "get the bug". A fresh tier of food was brought, but honestly, the scones tasted stale. The bread on the finger sandwiches wasn't very fresh either. Some of the desserts had a strong artificial taste. Overall, the food was surprisingly underwhelming, and some offerings were tasteless and not very fresh. I received the wrong tea and it took a long time to get that corrected. We were instructed to turn our teapot lid over if we wanted more tea, but it seemed to be a futile effort since no one was coming to check on us. I literally had to raise my hand to get attention for our party of 5 on multiple occasions. The table decor was beautiful and thoughtful. There were a good variety of teas offered. Enjoy tea here the other day with some girlfriends, and as usual, the experience was enjoyable, although it did feel like there was a lack of attention from a couple of the servers due to larger parties. We were a small group of three, but there were two very large parties that were also in the room. At one point, we went almost 15 minutes before it was recognized that all of our tea pot lids have been turned over and we had been waiting for tea. But during that same time. Somebody came by and asked to take the tea treat tray out of our way but didn't acknowledge the teapot turned over. We also found that this go around, they were very strict about it being a one hour and 30 minute experience. Because when the time came, somebody came to our table and politely explained that the tea experience was now over and that they needed the tables. this was the first time that we had ever had that happen to us and we've been many times before so that was definitely a different feeling. read more

I have waited more than a month to post my review because I wanted the review to be as objective as possible. We wanted to love this venue so much and we're very much looking forward to our visit. We had reviewed the venue for several months, so it was no surprise to us that the space was very small and had no public restrooms for use. We were impressed with the decor of the space and the clock made with tea cups. The staff were very polite and helpful. I wasn't disappointed by the teabags because they seemed to have been freshly made with loose leaf tea, and I even was able to request Lady Earl Gray. I was happy with most of the tea sandwiches, but was very disappointed by the scones, which were chocolate coconut, and were served cold. They weren't warm and fluffy, in fact, they were almost hard. To be honest, I wasn't sure why they served scones with coconut without giving guests a choice for another scone (plain, blueberry, or cranberry/orange), since coconut is a widely disliked food. The puréed peas topped with microgreens on baguettes were also unappetizing. This was a very disappointing experience. I know that macarons are commonly used in tea rooms, and sometimes people get tired of them, but we were disappointed not to see them. The desserts they served weren't very impressive, not even the mirror-glazed entremets, and I would have been more delighted to see macarons or nice petite fours, and a chocolate dessert. Overall, this was just an average experience that is perfect for a novice tea drinker. But for me and my companion, we expected a bit more. read more

The Tea Room Experience was the cherry on top for my bday celebrations. From start to finish, The Tea Room was perfection. Every little detail was just so perfect. The theme for this Tea Room Experience was Breast Cancer. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Everything Went Pink Here! To start they gave as a pink drink as a refresher in a champagne glass. It was so good. They had a menu on the table for us, and on one side they had the tea selections & the other side was the menu for the day. My favorite tea was the orange vanilla & the ciao amaretto. You can try as many teas as you wanted. They let us know when we wanted to change our tea just to put the lid upside down on top of the tea pot. They provided us our three tiers and we referred to the menu to see what each treat was. They also went through it with us. Everything we had was so tasty. My faves were the open faced salmon, spinach artichoke bite, & pistachio raspberry entrement. I can't believe how amazing and wonderful this tea experience was. Everyone working were so sweet and welcoming and the ambiance was so soothing and relaxing. It was a rainy day and this tea experience was the perfect setting for this magical time. The first one was in an exclusive venue where they harvest, and make their own branded tea in New Zealand. But let me tell you about this experience basing it on the earlier one. The ambiance is definitely telling you of a high tea experience. It was well designed as soon as you enter the venue. They have hats that you can borrow to give you that full English experience. The wall was filled with various porcelain teacup and matching kettle set and every table used a unique design. Per the staff, next time you make a reservation, you can request a color motif or a design that will suit your occasion or mood for that matter. We were celebrating a birthday and pink floral was the perfect design. Five stars for the ambiance Now let's talk about the accessibility of the bathroom. Since we are touching the finger foods and I drove us there, I wanted to wash my hands. You have to get out of the place, walk to the next building, enter a code to use the nearest bathroom. Okay, I think that's overkill. Solution? Provide wipes since I really didn't need to use the bathroom but just to sanitize my hands. Three stars for that. For the food, the presentation was beautiful and well designed. They served four kinds of savory (bottom tray). I was hoping to have mini sandwiches (I'm sure there's an English term for that) with more than just all "white bread" they could be more creative I think the creativity lied on the second and third tier for desserts. Found this adorable little tea room off Church Street and scheduled high tea for my friends and I on a Sunday. Having just come back from London, I was so excited to have found a local place to do the high tea experience. The tea selection was great, and they allow you to sample as many flavors as you like. They have a sugar dish to scoop sugar, but I think the little cubes would add to the high tea experience to match the authentic ones you get in London. They also do not use loose leaf tea, but flavored tea bags, but it was still tasty. The finger foods and sandwiches were tasty. My favorite was the egg sandwich. The sweets were pretty on the platter but some of the flavors were not that good. The scones were not like those in London, but good. I think I might have been spoiled, having just come back from that high tea experience, so if you are wanting something like that, this is not it, but it is perfect for a fun girls' day out, Mother's Day brunch, or special birthday treat. The decorations are flowery, with light colors and a great place to take photos with your friends. They have a policy that if others are being too loud they will ring a bell to remind you to keep your voices down. My mom was visiting me, so what better way to have some mother daughter time than over tea?! I made a reservation online, which was easy to do (reservation required). There is 2 hour street parking right in front of the business, which was super convenient. Our reservation was at 10 am, and we were seated right away. Our table scape was gorgeous along with the rest of the ambiance of the room. The chandelier made with a teapot and teacups really caught my eye. I helped myself to the stand in the front with many different hats and headbands to make you feel the part for enjoying tea. You can try as many different teas as you would like. My favorite was the chocolate strawberry tea! It tasted exactly like the name. A tower came to the table filled with savory sandwiches, cream, jam, biscuits, and several pastries. Just be sure to use the bathroom before you arrive...unless you're up for a unique bathroom adventure that takes you outside and down the street. The day before our booking, my friend received a call for confirmation and to inquire about any food allergies (despite what is listed on their website for allergy accommodations). I was pleasantly surprised to see that I had a separate tier stack with alternate food options to accommodate for my food allergy. The experience consists of a one time fee ($40) and it's a tiered stack of snacks and unlimited tea with various options to choose from a menu. I love afternoon tea and it's always tea time at The Tea Room Experience! If you're looking for an excuse to dress up and have a lovely time with your friends, I highly recommend The Tea Room Experience. Reservations are a must, and try to book them ASAP because the times fill up super quick! Don't have a hat? Fret not -- you can borrow one at the tea room to add to your vibe. Their tea list is extensive and I appreciate the unlimited refills and ability to choose as many teas as you'd like (given that you finish your pot); that's a really cool perk and I appreciate it because you can try so many teas in one go! Service was fantastic and our servers were so attentive and great at switching out the teas. Onto the food: I think their strength lies in their savories; most of which were super tasty and delicious. I especially loved their egg salad sandwich and the strawberry sandwich; my friend loved their chicken salad sandwich. My only critique for this tier would be the quality of the bread -- we were at the 10:30a booking, but the bread was already stale. I completely understand the need to prep the sandwiches ahead of time, but I think the sandwiches would benefit from being stored in a way to preserve the freshness of the bread. The scones and sweets were generally fine, but could be improved. The scones were very dry and dense; even with the homemade Devonshire cream (which I personally found too sweet) and jam. The flavor of the scones were good -- I loved the lemon flavor, but I definitely couldn't eat the entire scone due to the dense texture. As for the sweets, this is so odd to say, but they were too sweet. The flavor was one-note and got a little nauseating to eat. I think they would've benefited from more fruit to brighten up the sweetness or using other flavors to bring variety to the palette. There was also too much gelatin in the panna cotta, so it was more chewy than ideal. Finally, this is a small detail, but I would've really appreciated having some utensils for food items that require them. Aside from the teaspoon, having a smaller fork or butter knife would've made the experience go more smoothly; especially when it comes to having to share the one butter spreader that came with the Devonshire cream and scones and the initial problem of eating the panna cotta. In our situation, sharing the spreader wasn't too bad since there were only two of us, but it would've been annoying if we had a larger group; we also adapted and used our teaspoons to eat the panna cotta, but it wasn't as seamless an experience. Overall, I think The Tea Room Experience is very cute and I always have a great time with my friends. Orlando is a market where options for Afternoon Tea are lacking, so they deserve the 4 stars here for cute oasis they've created here. At $38pp, it's also one of the more accessible Afternoon Tea price points, so I do recommend checking them out if you've never had Afternoon Tea before. read more

Book tea time for celebration of my friends birthday. It was the perfect par-tea! Booking was easy through the website and calling in to have some accommodations whereby staff was beyond helpful. They even called the day before and text the day off to confirm the reservation. Reservation does require a credit card and it will be charged for no show. Upon entering we were in awe at how beautiful it was!! Just lovely decor and tea cups, pots, etc available for purchase at really affordable prices! The tea that they served is also available for purchase. The 2 oz bag will run you anywhere from $11-$14 depending on the tea. Tea time was $38 and includes unlimited tea. You can swap out the flavors to try different kinds and find red favorite during the visit. The tea pots are little and cute. Good for about 2 cups of tea. And they keep the tea HOT! You also get the tiered tower of food and sweets. We had an array of cucumber sandwiches, chicken and egg salad, puff pastries with filling, lemon tarts, scones, grapes, the cutest chocolate tea cups with filling, and pecan cookies! There were 5 of us in our party and we had 3 tiers filled with these delicious items to share! Street parking available and is metered. Restroom is located 2 businesses down at a central location where the tea room will give you the code to enter the building. We drove 2 hours for this experience and it was so worth it!! This is a definite must and I'll definitely be back and recommend!! This was by far the best afternoon tea experience I've had!! My mother and I have been going to tea since I was a child. This place was recommended by one of her friends and is definitely a "must-go" if you are a tea connoisseur! It's quaint and small but the ambience is top notch and the tea/food was delightful. My mother was gifted with a gift certificate here in October but the first availability for a reservation was February!!! With that said, please book reservations well in advance. This is a great place for a girls meetup or a baby/bridal shower (not sure if they do private parties but I can't imagine why not). Regarding the actual tea service, the staff was very friendly and attentive. They had a great selection of tea broken into four categories - green, oolong, black and herbal. Tea service comes with a tower of finger sandwiches and desserts, as well as a scone served w/ devonshire cream and jam and unlimited tea (you can pick different teas if you like). They even provide a tea timer so you know how long to steep the tea before pouring. The prices are reasonable, as well ($38/pp and $29/pp for children). They also have some tea sets and loose leaf tea for sale. They don't have free parking but street parking is available and there is a parking garage down the street (not validated). Every table was adorned with various collections of tea-ware. The service was good, but could have a bit more attentive. We arrived on time and stayed for a good 2 hours enjoying our food and tea. My dear friend is visiting from out of town and we both love a proper high tea. Grand Floridian has yet to resume their team time, so here we are. Our appointment was at 10:30, so parking along Church St. was pretty easy. The meters require using an app. So, if anyone in your group isn't savvy definitely make sure to help them or accompany them. The tea menu has plenty of different types of tea, but the black tea is lacking a bit. I also was suprised that our 2nd pot was just hot water and the spent 1st bag of loose tea. So definitely ask for fresh tea or switch up. When the tea service comes out the serve the teeniest amount of devonshire cream. Enough for half a proper scone is loaded with cream and jam. You'll need to ask for more. The chicken salad tastes tinned. The cucumber sandwiches were my favorite. I was not a fan of the pesto/tomato sandwich. The apricot/brie/pistachio tarts were fab, I would have loved more than one. They're really generous and it's a lot of food. We both took the rest of the sweets home. The sweets were lacking. The sort of lemon tart had unsweetened raw coconut in it along with the cookie. I love coconut if it's cooked or toasted.
