They helped arrange a cost segregation study for my rental properties and walked me through an oil and gas investment strategy. Between the two, I saved over $150,000 in taxes over the past two years. The package also included preparing my tax return, including the rental properties and investments. There was a lot I didn't understand at first, but the team took the time to explain things and answer my questions. What I appreciated most was having help planning ahead and understanding how these decisions affected my taxes. It's a significant fee, but given my situation and the savings, I'm glad I went ahead with it.

What I appreciated most was how easy she was to communicate with. She explained things clearly, answered all my questions, and gave me very specific steps for what I needed to do. I never felt like I was getting vague CPA-speak. She helped me with both my 2024 and 2025 returns and is also helping me avoid the same Roth issue in the future. I'd definitely recommend her if you want someone who actually communicates well and makes complicated tax stuff feel manageable.

I plan to continue working with Melissa as she has been helpful with tax saving strategies as my life situation changes.

Fair point -- I went back to the attorney who drafted it, had them add my name in the body, and confirmed the document complied with California notary law . Came back later in the day with the revised document. Rudy looked at it and said "something seems off." That was the entire explanation. No identification of what was off, no specific provision he objected to, no questions about my ID or the underlying transaction. Just refused. Took the same document to another commissioned California notary that same day. They reviewed it, verified my ID, administered the oath, and notarized it without any issue. Two visits, two trips back to my attorney for revisions he requested, and ultimately a vague refusal with no actionable feedback. A notary's job is to verify identity and witness an oath. If specific concerns exist, communicate them clearly so they can be addressed. "Something seems off" after you've already made the customer revise the document once isn't professional -- it's wasting their time.

We committed to working together, I felt they were unresponsive once we started uploading docs…read moreetc., and they then suddenly told us they'll no longer work with us with no explanation and didn't respond to any follow-up questions. We're now left with very little time to find a replacement and we'll probably lose a lot of money as a result of this surprise from them. Facts: we agreed to work together at the start of this year. They shared a portal for us to upload docs into. It took us a few weeks to get started uploading those docs but we're still within their purported time-frame in mid-February. We had some access issues that, for myself, they fixed; that was not fixed for my wife and we had to bug them several times in the last week before our scheduled tax prep meeting. They then reached out to me, saying that they can no longer work with us and that they'll delete all the files I uploaded to their vault. When I asked them why, they did not respond.

The next year we were essentially assigned to someone else because who we saw previously was no longer accepting new clients...but we weren't new. Reaching whoever they assign you to work with is nearly impossible. After an initial apt weeks went by for very basic things and I was calling or emailing every few days in a panic as the deadline to file quickly approached. Eventually an extension had to be requested when all needed documents had been completed in Feb. The back and forth email and call correspondence was time consuming and ridiculous. We kept having to reach out to check the status and after weeks would get a response to schedule yet another appointment. Not personable, not friendly, poor communication. They likely take on too many clients because they care about profit over people.
