I wish to relate an experience I had with Accountant Donald Lobel of Babylon, Long Island. His…read morefather, who had been the chief accountant for both of my parents, and then finally all of my mother's affairs was an excellent accountant, however, I cannot say the same for his son Donald. Mr. Lobel was under hire as my mother's chief accountant up until the time of her death in mid-2016. We had been assured that his IRS filings and Estate duties were all being cared for in a timely fashion. However, as time wore on, it became apparent that Mr. Lobel was not doing his job. Despite many requests and much prompting Mr. Lobel remained delinquent in the preparation of her personal taxes, estate taxes, and financial obligations of the trust. At this point in time we have been waiting for over a year and a half for the state taxes to be completed and filed so that we may receive our inheritances. However, much to our dismay, Mr. Lobel has not returned our calls, or written requests for information. I have contacted his office several times, only to be told he is out or not available. While I had the utmost respect for his father as a competent accountant and gentleman, I certainly cannot say the same for his son, Donald. We are all disappointed and chagrined over the plight of my mother's estate and delay in the transmission and receipt of what is duly ours. To all of you readers who may, be in the potential situation of having to choose an accountant for this purpose or any other general purpose I would seriously recommend a third and fourth consideration of choosing this individual. Not only is he delinquent in regard to his duties, but he is also nasty and ill-mannered should you ever have occasion to speak with him on the phone.

I'll start off by saying everyone here was very nice. But the problem is that maybe they don't know…read morewhat they are doing, screwed something up and tried to cover themselves, or are just horrible communicators. So my sister and I went there on a Thursday to open a trust because my parents are selling their house. We met with Shawn, showed him our IDs, all the trust paperwork, everything needed to open it. We were told the "back office" needed to approve it. Ok. Weds my sister called and went in to finalize this. We couldn't complete the paperwork because both of us were not there. She signed and I told her to sign for me. They called later and said I needed to come in in person. I fly up from florida, go to sign, and they said BOTH of us need to be there in person to sign at the same time. Not even notarized. The woman wouldn't email my attorney sister the form to fill out ahead of time because it had to be "the original copy" I was also told that when we come in and sign (Friday afternoon) it could take an additional 3 business days for the "back office" (whoever they are) to approve. two grown ass adults, 800+ credit scores, depositing large sum of cash, borrowing absolutely nothing. they made it as difficult as possible. If you don't want the business just say so, but don't mess with people's time. We called Bank of America in Bayshore, went in and had the whole thing open and funded in 55 minutes. Completely incompetent Chase.

Used to use this bank for deposits in to my corporate account. Tried to deposit cash. The dark…read morehaired middle age woman asked me for id. I said really? For a cash deposit? She said yes it's policy. (I rarely get asked for id) I said ok and went to my car for id. She then says said you don't need id and didn't even glance at it. Ok. Next time I go back same thing she asks me for id. I said you must be kidding. I took my slip and went 3 minutes east to West Babylon chase. Lovely Muslim woman took deposit no problem. I don't think people are depositing cash into others commercial accounts illegally. Most chase banks require exact amount for deposits and do not give change, very unusual for a bank I think. Go to West Babylon chase and avoid Babylon.
