I signed the corrected return; however, they submitted the original, incorrect version. This resulted in thousands of dollars being erroneously withdrawn from my account. They subsequently filed an amendment, but I was unable to recover the full amount from the IRS and state tax authority. Additionally, they assured me that no automatic payments had been set up. This proved to be false--a quarter later, my account was overdrawn due to automatic withdrawals they had failed to disclose. Throughout this process, they have continued to send emails soliciting further engagement and payment reminders, and their communication has been notably unprofessional. If you choose to work with this firm, I strongly advise reviewing all documents and filings thoroughly before and after submission to ensure accuracy.

I recently got a notice from the IRS of non-payment of taxes along with penalty fees. When I finally got through to him (after calling 3 times), he blamed the IRS. The penalties are not as bothersome as the time I've had to spend on the phone with the IRS and sending out payments to both the state and the federal government. My returns are fairly easy as I own no property and am single, and have no children/dependents. So I'm left wondering what $350 paid for. Very disappointing. UPDATE: After speaking again with the IRS, they said that David Dukoff left the banking info BLANK. That's why they didn't receive payment and that's why I'm having to pay late fees and spend my time sorting this all out. Incredibly unprofessional.
