I booked a day-of appointment for a tiny tattoo. It was an important anniversary and they were nice…read moreenough to squeeze me in because the tattoo was a simple line and wouldn't take more than 5 minutes. They booked me for 9 pm. It was well past 2 AM by the time we finally got back. And the tattoo artist wouldn't stop talking and so it took a full 45 minutes to do this one centimeter line (that was the whole tattoo.) The artist said she liked staying late so that she wouldn't go back to her old habits, which made it feel like she'd intentionally made us wait so she wouldn't be alone at night. We weren't done until 3 am. That's 6 hours past 9 pm when we were scheduled. The second we were back there she launched into telling us all the traumatic things she's experienced. I work in mental health- I definitely understand trauma. And there's no doubt she's had some unfair horrible things happen to her. But I was already in an emotional state (given the symbolism behind the tattoo) and it was really hard to be trauma dumped on. Especially without warning. Trauma dumping is so unfair and a lot of what she said triggered my own trauma. She deserves healing for what she went through but her clients aren't her therapist. She's talented and I think has a genuinely good heart but I felt like she didn't take my time or emotions seriously. It felt like I was being used for her own benefit. I had free touch ups so I tried to schedule one (despite my better judgement) and I've attached the photos of the conversation we had. She never even responded. TL;DR- I paid $60 for a tattoo that should have taken 5 minutes but instead took 6 hours.

He explained what and why he was doing what he was and made it clear as to what to expect there and after during the healing process. He has a fun personality which always helps. I asked him for ideas on what I could do to add color to it in the future and he gave me some great ideas as well as a suggestion on how he could do the larger more expensive ideas in steps instead of all at once so I could save along the way instead of coming up with a large sum to do it all at once. It was quick and easy to make an appointment on their website, and it didn't require a security deposit either. I arrived to get my conch piercing at 5:30 pm and I was out by 6 pm. I was a little nervous and had lots of questions about the piercing itself and the after care. I also had not gotten a piercing in years, so I was worried it would be painful. They were kind and allowed my two friends to come to the back with me to hold my hand (I know... I'm a scaredy cat). Mitch walked me through everything that was going to happen- for example, "okay, you're gonna feel a small pinch first and then you'll feel some pressure." He also said that my only job was to keep breathing. He had me take one deep breath in and then exhale out right as he did the piercing, too. As you can tell, the team is very patient and kind here. This is a great spot for anxious girlies or for your first time getting a piercing. Their piercing and jewelry pricing is all fair. My conch piercing costed $45 plus the 14K gold jewelry I chose. Unlike other shops, they had a huge selection of yellow gold and rose gold options that were actually cute- flowers, stars, moons, etc. On average, I saw the stud earrings were about $60-170 each. They also tallied up my total prior to actually getting the piercing, so there weren't any surprises at the end when I paid. They sent me home with a detailed after care guide too. I've already told friends and family about this shop being a great option for them when they come visit Utah.

The normal price is around $450, but I got a 50% discount. If I had paid full price, I would have rated this place with fewer stars. The results I have are uneven and patchy. I suppose my eyebrows look slightly fuller and defined than before, but not in an ideal way. I still need to apply eyebrow makeup which I had hoped I wouldn't need after getting this procedure done. She told me since I have different growth patterns, they are going to look different. I wanted my eyebrows to look more like sisters, not distant cousins lol. The service itself was extremely painful and not long lasting. Natassia provided me with very little after care instructions after my initial visit, and none at all after my touch up. She only used a light numbing cream during the first visit and didn't offer it during my touch up. Her work looks good immediately after, but be aware that it's very temporary.
