They let anyone and everyone come in and sit and knit, which is a great time to take in all the yarn candy in the shop. They are so friendly they helped my husband find a great birthday gift, a yarn hat kit, and he was proud to hand it to me. There is an eclectic group of people that come and knit, and some that come in, asking a plethora of questions, all answered btw, and buy their fibers there. In Swansboro does not mean far from beachers, tourists, and lovers of a short distance adventure from the beach. AND well worth the time to be with Peggy and Roxanne, and everyone that comes in. And don't check the faces, those knitters are knitting one of the wonderful yarns and pattern that both Peggy and Roxanne have helped them find to your liking. The shop is in a small house right off of North Howe St, and every room is packed with beautiful things that you will want to buy. I bought a beautiful skein of yarn that I have never seen before, and I can't wait to turn into something beautiful to remember the trip by. The woman that was working there was incredibly friendly and helpful, she let me wander the shop looking, and offered help when I needed it. No one said a word to me and they went immediately back to their conversation. I waited at the door for a bit for anyone to offer to help me find my yarn or explain the layout of the shop. No one did. So I walked past the women to the back of the shop to prowl the shelves, digging in my tote for my notes. That's when I heard one woman say to another that they should keep an eye on me since I could put anything in my bag. What a horrible group of women! Yes, they had lovely yarn. However I wouldn't spend a penny in that shop. Its run by a bunch of nasty, lazy, bigoted bitches who won't help but will made snide comments. Shop anywhere else.
