Cute little bakery! I ordered a cake for my mom's birthday and it did not disappoint. It was an 8" strawberry cake with sour cream icing. Words can't describe how good it was, literally the best cake I've ever had. The employees were friendly and helpful with any questions that I asked. I recommend giving this place a try if you get the chance. read more

Very upset seriously my sister in law made sure you guys had cupcakes and had the ones we needed we then requested to have the filling in one of them per request when I got there the lady said she didn't know which one had the filling per gender and on top of it all it came with Christmas sprinkles absolutely horrible completely ruined my end of 2025 and 2026 year so disappointed read more

The sweet croissant was a delicate buttery flaky piece of heaven. I grabbed it going through the drive through window and there was an actual angel in the window further solidifying that this was indeed heaven. The woman Liz was the kindest most supermodel employee I've ever seen at a bake shop . Very attentive and kind. The building looks super cute from the outside as well . read more

I shouldn't have been surprised to find that virtually everything at a bakery with "sweet" in its name is coated with sugar. But a glazed croissant? That's bordering on sacrilege. To me a croissant is flaky, buttery goodness. NO sugar coating. Why aren't there plain croissants? Or non-glazed cake donuts? Just disappointing. The Butterfinger donut? Something was stale with that Butterfinger. The cream filling in another one? Again a bit heavy with the sugar, and no other flavor to speak of. Yeah, I know the filling is supposed to be sweet, but not THAT sweet. So what about some savory items to balance it out? The only offering is a sausage ball. They're okay, but they weren't even warm. In fact, they were just sitting piled up on a tray on the counter, uncovered. No telling how long they'd been there. I took a chance anyway, and I'm praying I don't regret it later. Based on the other glowing reviews, I was expecting a lot from this place. In the end, what I came away with were a couple containers of disappointment. read more

Get all our birthday cakes here. Always delicious and keep coming back. Donuts are delicious. Also have delicious cronuts

I was immediately overwhelmed by everything on display when I walked in. There were cakes, donuts, macarons, etc. I was immediately drawn to the croissants (which is a croissant topped with a glaze). I was also recommended the cinnamon twist, as they are less sweet than the donuts. But everything looked really appetizing. After staring into the display for minutes, I decided on the croissant (which was as delicious as imaged), the cinnamon twist (which was large in portion and the sweetness is subtle but wonderful) and a slice of pound cake (buttery goodness with a glaze on top). The prices were decent for the amount of food I walked out with. I did not regret any of my choice and look forward to coming back to try other variety of baked goods. Everyone in the store was welcoming and pleasant. See you again soon! read more

Friendly staff. Lots of donut options and recently added a breakfast menu that is just as good!

Great selection of donuts, and no upcharge for most fancy ones. $14 for an assorted dozen. They had ones with fruity pebbles on top, coconut shavings, bacon and more. Tasted delicious and was a hit at work. I will stop by here if I'm in town again. read more

Not only do they display political signs like "Let's go Brandon" and signs about the vaccine, they also don't wear masks. We're in a pandemic, so that seems dangerous. Especially since it seems clear that employees don't need to be vaccinated. Also, they're glaze is waaaay too thick and grainy with sugar. Everything is toooooo sweet and their chocolate is chalky, tastes dusty, and is cheap. There are better bakeries in Rome. Ones that stay out of politics, too. Update: I have not changed my review. But in response to the reply from the owners, I'd like to say that I have never assumed whether or not another person is vaccinated. I would have no context to make that guess. What I stated is that I would assume that this bakery does not REQUIRE employees to be vaccinated. Am I wrong? read more

By far the best donuts, cupcakes, and pound cake ever. They have got it going on here!

Very Tasty doughnuts. Ease of access is the only issue. But they are worth the trouble

I wish I had taken pictures, but I ate them all too fast. These donuts are fluffy and delicious. I didn't have any of the cakes so I couldn't tell you. My friend got the breakfast sandwich on the grill donut and could not stop raving about it. Love the experience! read more

Everything was excellent, customer service, donuts were soft and tender. Icing was just right not to sweet.

Donuts are to die for! Staff friendly. Clean and offers a lot of yummy things to choose from. The maple bacon donut is my fav.

Super sad, the products are good but they have opted to mix politics into their business model. I would rather have my sweets be sweet and not fronts to tell others to f* off. Clearly, only conservatives are welcome read more

It was okay but Krispy Kreme is better. So much sugar I was embarrassed for them. We tried a couple other pastry items. So much sugar it's nauseating. I guess some folks like that much sugar but not me or my family. You might as well pour granulated sugar over your head and lick your way out. Pastry is supposed to be delicate and sweet and light. Not this. read more

Krispie Kream is just a few blocks from our house and I will gladly drive the extra distance to get to the Sweet Bar. Nothing can beat their bakery items. I have never had a better donut anywhere. The apple turnovers are big and dense enough that there is no way I can eat one in one sitting. They will easily satisfy 3 people. This is the freshest and best you can get anywhere. read more

These are the best donuts I have ever had. The size of them are huge and I had two. To find such a great donut in a small city in northern Georgia is amazing. This donut shop and donuts should be available in every city in the U.S. I would stop here every day if I was local. They have great options on donuts and other treats. It is such a nice, cute and quant little shop. I highly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed. I came for my nieces graduation from Berry and she brought me here. I would buy and open a franchise from if I could. read more

Wowie--this place was fantastic! They have HUGE donuts and they are delicious! I had to eat my donut throughout the day, I couldn't handle it all at one time. It was super filling and delicious the whole way through. Better yet- the prices are reasonable! 1.29 for a donut that big is a steal in my opinion! And the staff was awesome and very kind. Their donuts are good, but the writing on our graduation cake last year was unprofessional and the decor was pretty messy. It's an ok place to grab a treat, but I don't think I'd use them again for a party cake. read more

Rome Ga has really grown on me the last couple of years and businesses like The Sweet Bar are one of the reasons why. This small rustic boutique donut bar has friendly staff and amazing donuts. My GF had the coconut vanilla iced donut, she enjoyed the fresh texture and donut to icing ratio. The coffee here isn't sophisticated, but definitely solid and rich. I'll definitely stop here again the next time I'm passing through Rome. read more

Catered Donuts for Our Son's Wedding! Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! The workers did an amazing job with the set up of the donut bar (did this in lieu of a groom's cake) and it was just perfect! They went above and beyond especially because I forgot to bring the serving pieces for them to stack and display the donuts. So they were so sweet and made due with what they had and it still looked great! Of course the DONUTS were to die for! Had many guests asking where the amazing donuts came from. I have since driven 45 minute twice since the wedding just to get donuts to take to work and a social event! Thanks again to these amazing women at The sweet Bar! read more

Well goodbye sweet bar. The food was okay, some of it was really good, but we have never been treated well by this establishment. Every time we have been there the staff treats us like we are in their way and taking our order is an imposition. But I can forgive that, what I cannot forgive is hanging a sign that we all know stands for "F@&k you Biden" and think that it's okay to say something like that to a sitting president. He is our President like it or not. Your political views are disgusting and disrespectful. You should be ashamed of your so called patriotism and instead understand the definition of treason. We will never be back, obviously. read more

Best donuts in Northwest GA and they have a drive thru... just be prepared to tell them exactly what you want if you do drive thru as there are no pictures or menu to pick from. The Sweet Bar has the most amazing doughnuts! They're soft and yeasty and covered in fun, creative flavors like caramel and pretzel, Snickers, and maple pecan.
