Lovely hotel in the middle of a very special village. However, it is really a shame that some rooms are completely missold and if you mention it to management you receive a derisory response from the manager, James. Apparently they have many return guests who reserve the rooms that are advertised, so you are left with something worse than a Travelodge but with expectations of something special. The room was tiny, dirty and felt like a sauna but more importantly, had none of the character advertised. We came to celebrate our pre-covid wedding day, which James knew, and did nothing about it, instead we had dinner by a bucket, plastic sheet and towel catching a leak.
James left us feeling, not only that he didn't care, but when he 'tried' to ensure that we left 'happy', made me feel even more upset and angry. I have never felt that way in any hotel ever! I would love to return but without the privileged position of being a 'return guest' or whilst James is still there, it is not worth it. read more
