I disagree with Scouser_4eva - Towers infamous nickname is Tower for an Hour!!…read more I think it use to be a large Threatre - the place is huge i have spent many a nights sticking to that floor - that one i do agree on - and sometimes embarassingly falling down the stairs!! I remember when PJ & Duncan (Ant & Dec), Mandy Dingle (Lisa Rielly) and a few other famous (or not so famous) faces have passed through those doors! Oh those Thursday nights when it was 10p a pint, it would have been rude not to go!! Saldy Tower is no more - it did briefly open again but failed misserably as it tried to go 'up market' and become a members only, however i only know 1 person who went! Clubs, not just in Hull, haved changed vastly over the years and i think it would take a lot to re-vamp this building and take it back to it's hay day and bring it into the 21st century!

Its great for a dance, but I would advise people to be careful on the staircase, its a very narrow spiral staircase which really isn't very good when you have a had a few drinks.

With 3 rooms the music is from funky house in the main room to my particular favouirte in the back room. I have had some of the best nights out in this club. Door fee from £5 and drinks are not be badly priced. They no longer hold their cabaret and karaoke nights in the club as these are now held in 1 of their pre bar, The Yorkshireman - but this is a fab night out for all. Boo Hoo, cannot believe this place is closed, derlict and about to be knocked down!…read more Aparently this use to be a ballroom back in the early 70's before it turned into a night club - orginally known as Tiffany's now LA's as it's commonly known as. It's got 3 rooms - the main large room with a big stage as seen many a celeb up there such as Jordan, aka Katie Price, Atomic Kitten, Trevor Nelson - to name a few! there's was the R&B room, Orleans and the 70's room. There use to also be a american style diner downstairs and a VIP area that over looked the main dance floor. It is now owned by Hull City Council - they where originally going to turn into an youth/health centre but now tho9se plans have fallen through there is speculation that it's now just gonna be knocked down and quite possibly the land sold to developers for apartment and office space - shame really not got many decent night clubs in Hull any more this could really make a revival if done right!
