Unfortunately, Spiders Nightclub isnt the best place to go. Yes, it Does have Cheap Drinks compared to some of the clubs in the City Centre, But you will RARELY find anybody over the age of 18 in the club (even though This is Illegal). The place is Filled with Too many Kids getting Drunk off Cheap Drinks, or Older people who are Quite wierd to have a Good night out. Spiders is a great night out. it is Indie, Rock, Goth, alternate music. it nestles amongst warehouses and factories away from the city centre. Nearby is a great rock pub as you wait for opening. Spider decor of course and on 2 floors. Dancef loors in various areas with DJ's playing different music. There are names like the Black Widow Bar. The cocktails come in half pints and pints and have names like Pangalacticgargleblaster and Pink Pugsley. Prices vary but the most expensive is a pint at around £4: Cheapest £1. they range from strong to OMG! Beer £1.20 a pint, spirits are 45p a shot Food is available upstairs and downstairs, along with bottles of house wine - a vegetarian selection too. Chip butty 50p There is a bus service for students from the Uni. Lots of students go but any age is welcome. It's for the misfits really who don't fit into the regular club scene. Great friendly place. Punks, Skaters, Goths etc. On warm nights there is an outdoor area with shelters a bit like bike sheds. The boast is you can get in, get drunk, eat and get a taxi home for under £20. Hotels are cheap if you live somewhere else. read more

Best alternative club in the area, dirt cheap drinks, very low entry fee, nice bouncers, great music, cool atmosphere, never any trouble. Friday nights are the best for old fogies like me - the music is better (Led Zep, Sister's, Faith No More etc played upstairs), there are fewer people so you can gt to the bar easier and the average age is over 21! Spiders is the nices place in the world, it has the perfect underground mood, with great music, affordable drinks at decent strength without tasting too spirity, however every bartender or barmaid has their own speciality. and smoking areas. Each of the sections play different music and on Black Widow bar you can find a proper caged pit. The crowd is generally very friendly and really fun and ages range from 18 to 50. So you can meet oldschool goths and rockers as well as young and innocent(right...) skaters. Their dresscode is alternative mainly because it's an altern club so a pink frilly dress isn't a good idea, staff are extremely nice and easy going however they rarely let anyone under 18 slip their attention. Entry fee is also pretty low, between 3 and 3.50 depending whether you're a member or a guest. You can fill in the form and apply for membership after 1 am if I remember correctly, membership only costs a quid and it goes to charity but it takes about 3 visits to have the procedure completed but it's absolutely worth it. Spiders is a place I recommend to my friends and will always defend :P They've been going on for 30 years and rolling and I hope my kids will be going there in another 25 years. read more

Spiders used to be a great night out. It used to be a great alternative venue. Now it's more like a creche for kids. Even on a Friday you will rarely see anyone over 21. It's a packed out cattle market for people wanting to pull scantily clad girls or boys in eye liner. They have started to let more 'chavs' in recently too. Its a great place if your into a certain type of music!!! Its loud! Its very dark inside and it is decorated to suit its name, there are spiders on the walls. If you get bored of the music there are games you can play such as connect four and jenga which is a laugh, but don't mess them up because you will be told off, ha! Its cheap to get in, and drinks are also cheap, but they seem a bit made up and most of the cocktails simply taste of a mix of alcohol, a bit too strong in my opinion. spiders is a legendary nightclub in hull and miles around! its very alternative and was originally mainly metal/goth. but now its got broader appeal from achingly cool trendsters to people who just want to get drunk cheap, very cheap. they do have a policy where they dont let your usual 'clubbers' in as they have a dress code, nobody really knows what its is you just have to be appropriately alternative i think, and not look like you are going to start a fight. the only downside is how grotty the place is, theres many long running jokes about taking your own loo roll etc but it does add to the charm of the place! read more

spiders is a great night out if your into rock music. Drinks are cheap and very unique. Saturdays is the busiest night with 3 floors open. In first room you have your anthems from emo to punk and a little ska from time to time. Playing both new and old music and any requests. With the biggest dancefloor this room gets quite popular. In the second room is metal and heavy rock. This room is for headbanging and has a dance area in the corner where this all takes place. Upstairs is the classic rock tunes playin 60s,70's and 80's rock music. This has a very small dancefloor and gets full very quickly. There is also a outside balcony where people sit. Most of the people use this to smoke so if ur not a smoker it may irratate you. There are also two more areas downstairs which go outside and have seating. Even on winters nights people flock to these areas. Food can be purchased from a snack bar on the top floor. With microwave burgers and toast and other small snacks at cheap prices. read more
