My son plays college football locally. I'm here most weekends. I've tried all the Marriott properties in the area. This is the best I've found and the Greece area is the best place as it has shopping and all sorts of restaurants and amenities one might need when visiting a college student. It's clean. Stocked. Great staff. The only thing keeping it from five stars are the WILD pricing swings this place has week to week. Some weeks I can't rationalize staying here as other Marriott properties in very close proximity are literally half the price. These rooms are great. The hotel is immaculate. I stay here every time I can. I always check their rates first.

I had the lobster bisque to start and it was the best lobster bisque I've ever had. There are actual huge chunks of perfectly cooked lobster in it. Any other time I've ever ordered it from somewhere else its been minced pieces of lobster and has been disappointing. We also got the Chemembert Crisp which is Chemembert cheese, covered and almonds and pecans, put in the oven and topped with apple and pear conserve. It is served over salad mix with a very tasty olive oil and bread. It was my first time having it and it was tremendous. Most of us got chicken wraps which were average. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the people who work there are very personable and know the meaning of hospitality. Oh and make sure you get the ice cream for dessert! They make it in house and its the best ice cream we've ever had, very creamy, not too sweet, just perfect. What an incredible space for the entire Irondequoit community and families. With clean, renewable energy at the forefront of this entire buildings core, it is hard not to jump on board and get excited about the kind of model this could be for future, similar concepts! I opted for a chicken caesar wrap from the pasta station in their food court. I also ordered a coffee (they brew finger lakes onsite) and it was the perfect midday pick me up. The space is all about community and I even took a moment to go hop on one of the energy powered bikes upstairs! There is an instagram-worthy indoor herb garden that the chef uses to cook, and a VR area in the Imaginarium. I hope to check out the conference rooms and rooftop on my next visit, and can't wait to try more of the spaces offerings!

The one thing I would complain about is that this summer they are closed on Tuesdays, it's only one day but somehow I keep finding myself wanting to bowl on Tuesdays and having to go out to bowlero in Webster if I really want to. But I imagine that could be a staffing issue too. To bring this place to the next level I would really invest in more staff. That may require offering a higher pay level, but it will increase business and customer satisfaction and return by decreasing wait times. Overall it's a great alley full of great people. They just need help.
