We hosted our wedding reception at West Creek last weekend and had an amazing time! This event…read morespace is so nicely decorated and beautiful that I didnt bother bringing too many of my own. From the gorgeous rose bushes out front, fresh wood accents inside, warm string lights and greenery inside, to the tree-lined backyard with vibrant fall foliage, it was the perfect mood and atmosphere for my fall wedding. The staff were great and Tammy was so helpful throughout the planning process. She made accommodations to work with a vendor that needed to make a drop off during non-event hours. The drinks were made well at the bar and they started a fire for us outside despite the fact that it had been a rainy day, and so many guests enjoyed making smores at the end of the night. The wedding package also includes a sparkler send off which we enjoyed. We had about 65 guests and it was the perfect amount of space for a mostly indoor-only event. We rented our own DJ equipment and had plenty of space to set it up inside. The catering from Guiseppe's was good and our guests seemed to like it. For the price, West Creek really can't be beat. It is a cash only bar, but there is an ATM on site and the drink prices are very reasonable.

Came here for a party. This place is pretty cool. What an awesome bar and selection of beer. Very…read moreroomy for a party or after playing a baseball game. It's alot bigger then you think. Plenty of parking also.

Holiday Inn Express Rochester - Greece - Shoddy reno. Toilet needed caulking

They are truly great employees and made sure that our stay was enjoyable. Here, the rooms are really spacious and clean. So great job to the housekeeping team as well. If you forgot some of your needed toiletries and etc, the front desk may also have what you are looking for. I will definitely be back if I am visiting Rochester, New York.

We usually stay with friends or family while up visiting from TX but this year we stayed at this…read moreHoliday Inn Express. We stayed 6 nights. There are pros and cons to our stay: Pros: - We loved the location. We have friends and family on both the East side and the West side. We felt this was a great central location to be able to see everyone in a reasonable drive. - close to restaurants, shopping, etc. Lots of options. - The hotel is updated. I do like updated hotels. Some of the pics on Yelp for this place are actually old. - staff were all great. I spoke to a number of housekeeping members and they were all so friendly and helpful. We don't usually like to have our room serviced while we stay. (Kids have so much crap, it'd be too much for them to work around.) Staff gave us new towels and emptied our trash while they were down the hall. - breakfast is offered. We like that there are hot options: some form of eggs and sausage. - Room was comfortable. Bed was a bit on the firm side but it was ok. - mini fridge and microwave in the room. And bonus, the fridge didn't FREEZE all our produce like they normally do. There is also a Kurig coffee maker but we didn't use it. - coffee available in the lobby all day. - my husband said the weight room here is nice. I didn't go in at all. - wifi was decent - We used points to pay for the room. Cons: - some of the renovations seemed shoddy: old outlets/switches (which really date a place. I'm replacing them in our own house. I'm not an electrician and it's not hard), missing caulking on vanity and around the bottom of the toilet. Overall, reno was ok. Just some areas could use a bit more attention to detail. - the area you enter before the lobby smelled like cigarette smoke. Gross. - breakfast wasn't great. The ONLY bagels offered every single day were cinnamon raisin. Does ANYONE like these things? My husband made one for the kids because it was the only kind they had... the kids would rather go hungry. I don't blame them, I wouldn't eat one either. - We only stay at Holiday Inn Express and love their "famous" cinnamon rolls. The warmer here was broken so NO CINNAMON ROLLS OUR WHOLE STAY. Boo. - breakfast is only until 9:30am. Now I know, they can't keep breakfast going forever but 9:30 is tough when you are kept up all night by your kids resulting in sleeping in later than you normally would... we missed breakfast 2x and then other times we got down at like 9:20am only to be told by the attendant that she would be closing soon. - shower made a high pitched noise about 2 minutes into your shower. Sound didn't stop until you turned off the water. Didn't make for a relaxing shower experience. - our room key stopped working 3 different times. Not fun when you get to your room around 10:30pm with sleepy kids and have to run back down to the front desk to have it re-programmed again and again and again. - Oddly, there was never anyone at the front desk. It's always nice to be greeted when you enter a hotel or to know that someone is there to make sure random people don't waltz in... but nope. Always 2 empty desk areas. Weird. Someone would appear if you NEEDED them but no one was ever out there normally. - no pool (I know not many hotels around here do). Would have been nice. - construction along the right side driveway. Not necessarily the hotel's fault but was cumbersome nonetheless.
