Great variety of shots in 45 minutes and I had a lot of great shots to choose from! For his years of experience you really get a lot of value and he was very clear about costs (as well as offering bundling discounts and telling me about editing availability). Would highly recommend the studio for headshots and promotional photos!

Glen is an amazing photographer, and he will go to great lengths to get pictures that capture you and the spirit of the moment. For our engagement photos, he trekked out to Nahant with us because it's one of our favorite places, and the photos turned out beautifully - he's very creative and artistic. He's big on telling a story with the photographs (he really is a photojournalist), so it turns out very nicely! The wedding photography went great - he and his co-photographer were very inconspicuous - we rarely noticed them, but they somehow caught all the fun, interesting moments on camera. They were always pleasant and accommodating! Re: a previous review, Glen, Asha, and the intake process are a little unusual, but go with the flow - they just take their work and their art seriously, and are intent on being able to capture you, rather than taking a bunch of cookie-cutter photos.

When we contacted DMPJ, the coordinator (not photographer) wanted to have a conversation with us over the phone to see if we were a good 'fit' for them. The conversation was kind of awkward. Felt like we were the ones being interviewed, but she was happy to proceed. So we then met with her and the photographer. We never had a chance to talk to the photographer directly because the coordinator was so overwhelming. After the meeting, we tried negotiating over packages. A couple requests: we didn't need an engagement session, so we asked for a comparable price reduction or a swap for something else. She was very opposed to this, but after several emails, we were able to convince her. We also wanted to meet with the photographer on our own but not allowed. They said they weren't flexible on the price because their advertising funds come from our package and any discounts would go to their next clients. This is what really sent us over the edge with them. Why does the person after me get a discount and not us!? So before we could decide yes or no, we received an email saying they didn't want to work with us. Thanks for listening and please consider this before proceeding with DMPJ.

He and his co-photographer did a wonderful job at our wedding and I absolutely loved our pictures. They came up with some really fun ideas for poses and they didn't miss a moment of the day! They were very professional and imaginative! I am giving them four stars instead of five only because of the price point.

We got married last summer at the Beauport hotel in Gloucester and they were recommended by the…read morehotel so we didn't hesitate to book them as we saw an album they had at the hotel and we loved the photos. Fast forward to almost a year later and we still are so unhappy with our entire collection of wedding photos that we still have not been able to pick any we love to give to our families. We felt rushed throughout the entire wedding and as a bride I did not need the added stress. There were so many photos he took on the beach and like 89% of those was everyone squinting and sweating. He did not touch up or clean up any and we both felt like we looked awful. So many candid photos of the reception too that did not flatter my guests or everyone seemed awkward. I just would have expected more from this photographer. It bothers us that the photos he and his wife took highlighted unflattering facial expressions or body angles. I wish he would have spent more time making sure I was looking happier or smiling or at least not looking stiff and awkward in our poses. It is not easy to be photogenic and it is their job to ensure the pictures come out amazing. You can't take the time back and I am so regretful we didn't research this better or go with someone else who was more professional in their photo shoots. Now we are just left with a bunch of photos that every time we look at ourselves we are so unhappy.

It also doesn't hurt that he is very laid back and will even capture the most camera shy fiancé smiling!

Then, we stumbled across Bob's website and we were instantly captivated. Unlike many photographers, who shoot the scenery but somehow fail to capture the essence of the day, Bob's pictures were lively and intimate. Bob incorporates three elements into his wedding photography: an engagement shoot, pictures on your wedding day, and another session after the wedding in tux and dress. Bob is attentive and creative, ensuring that he takes high quality photos of the couple and their family/friends. Bob is pleasant to work with and he accommodated all our requests. His affable manner and flexibility made the day a breeze. It felt like we were with friends, not being chased by flashes of paparazzi. I've seen so many wedding photos I can't count them all... all are beautiful... and though I'm admittedly biased because of my own memories, I firmly believe that ours are the best! I would choose Bob again in a heartbeat and can't recommend him highly enough.

Luckily, he connected us with Chris, who immediately did a call with us the next morning (the day before our wedding). Chris had been given our engagement photos, so he had a sense for our style, and he walked us through the day and the information he needed. Most importantly to us was to have our photographer take charge, and keep our families on task, while paying attention to the details so we didn't have to. To say that Chris did that would be an understatement. He arrived at the hotel even earlier than we asked, and immediately brought positive energy into the space. Once we moved to the venue, he efficiently directed our very lively friends and family through all of the poses and photos we wanted without us needing to say a word. My wife and I were truly able to just enjoy the day, knowing we'd get everything we asked for. Chris edits all of his photos individually by hand so that we got only the best, and he truly captured the New England fall essence. Chris gets our highest recommendation and we feel so lucky that we got to work with him!
