Our initial intention was to teach our children perseverance and not easily giving up in the process of learning ballet. We wanted them to stand tall and not hunch when they're on their feet. Under the dedicated guidance of Mrs. Chris for over a year, their ballet skills have made significant improvements. They can confidently perform the learned dance steps in the recital which held every six months. As parents, this makes us incredibly proud.

The instructors, Jeff and Cindy are so great! They are welcoming, encouraging, and professional. There are many regulars that attend the basics class as a warm up and then take the level 2 class an hour later. I have gone to 3 classes and plan on taking more in the future. I have also attended a members social that had food, drinks, music, and two hours of fun. Everyone that I have met at the classes are friendly and patient when I ask questions or get the moves wrong. I feel that I can only get better with practice and experience. There are other classes offered at the ballroom like Salsa,Tango, Country Two-Step,Country Swing and more! This is Northern Nevada's only nonprofit dance studio and they are doing everything they can to get everyone dancing. The research on partnership dancing and aging has been phenomenal! That alone should encourage everyone to dance! The Ballroom offers a free Dance With Me program for those who have cognitive and/or mobility issues such as Parkinson's or dementia. There is an afterschool program through Reno Housing Authority in underserved areas. There is also a program for young children! Last night was the annual fundraiser Gala for the studio and what fun we all had. What wonderful performances by all. And yes, I have the parent's permission to post the pictures of the youngest student to perform at the studio!

Allie (dance owner) and all the teachers love all the students, they have had to have taught the big girls to be kind to the little girls because all of the bigger students are so amazing with the Littles. There are various classes , and the teachers and staff pour themselves into the students. I highly recommend this studio. Hours are convenient, staff is amazing, and the dance owner is always there if you ever need to speak with her. She's not an absentee owner. It's been a year since I started dancing at Arthur Murray, and I wanted to share an update. Over the past year, I've expanded into new dance styles and started focusing on the finer details--like arm styling and hip movement, not just footwork. I've joined the dance team, performed in group showcases, and taken part in coaching lessons with incredible visiting instructors who've given me professional feedback to grow from. When my first instructor, Valerie, moved and transferred to another Arthur Murray studio, I wasn't sure what to expect--but I was left in great hands. Angela, my new main instructor, has been amazing at challenging me and helping me push my limits. I've also taken lessons with Alexia and Nathan, and all three have supported my growth with their unique styles and encouragement. One big milestone this year has been dancing in front of others through demos. It's helped me shake off nerves, have fun with mistakes, and just keep dancing. My confidence has grown immensely--I now step onto the dance floor excited, not anxious. I've even started receiving compliments on my leading and technique, which feels incredibly rewarding. If you're thinking about trying dance, I can't recommend Arthur Murray enough. But here's the key: don't just take a lesson or two--immerse yourself in the full experience. We feel that dancing for young children should be fun and creative and that teachers should be child friendly, fun and keep the instruction age appropriate. We found Pamelot almost a year ago and immediately loved it and could instantly feel the difference from other studios. The atmosphere is so relaxed and the owners are so kind and personable and are genuinely just really nice people who care about their students and parents and welcome and ask for parent input in regards to their programs. The teachers are wonderful, fun, energetic and are very good with children. The facility and dance studios are clean and every room has a viewing window with plenty of seating for parents to wait and watch their children dance. This is very important to me as a parent and something other studios do not offer in all rooms. They also regularly invite parents into the room to watch the children perform something they have learned. They even have a lounge room with tv and activities for siblings to wait in while their siblings dance. This makes waiting so much more relaxing for us parents. We love everything they offer including the month long summer camps and find that making the drive from Rocklin to Auburn is so worth it for us. We enjoyed our mini lesson but the only thing that kept us from coming back for the rest of our lessons is the cost of their packages. They were double our budget.
