I bought a Groupon for four classes at InForm Fitness due to the fact it was in my neighborhood. I had watched a video so I knew a little about it going in. My instructor,Joe, was a pleasure to work with and I was challenged every time I went as he added more weight at every class. Joe said I had gotten further quickly since I was already proactive on my own regarding my fitness. I was pleased with his comments about my abilities. Sadly at this time I have to look for something a little more in my price range but that doesn't mean I have closed the door at returning to InForm Fitness. Thank you Joe!! read more

I'm a big fan of InForm Fitness and my trainer Joe. I feel like I'm not growing any muscle with my usual spinning workout and crossfit classes have been too harsh on my body. The InForm workout is a perfect supplement to my regular cardio routine - it's quick, hard, effective, and Joe makes it super fun! It's great for absolutely everyone to do, but note that it's more about getting stronger than losing weight. The only thing I wish they'd improve is to come up with some discount packages to returning customers. It has insane discounts on Yelp and Groupon but all for new customers only. It'd be great if the management could give more rewards to returning customers too for their loyalty so we are not too jealous of the new guys. :) read more

Please do yourself a favor and try this workout. I admit I was skeptical about a workout that you can only do once a week for less than 30 minutes but this really, really works. I am a busy person and don't have hours to spend exercising so I love the efficiency of this workout. As a woman of a certain age, ahem, I started to feel my overall strength flagging. Now that this super slow weight training is a regular part of my life, I have not only regained my strength very quickly but I feel stronger and have better endurance than I have years. One thing I couldn't wrap my head around is that I can lift very heavy weights, without warming up and not be sore the next day. I know, it sounds too good to be true. The folks at Inform will be happy to explain the science behind this or you can research the benefits of high intensity workouts. I really recommend Inform Fitness for super slow weight training. I'm starting to fall in love with Inform Fitness! I'm the kind of person who was going to the gym, going on the elliptical for 30 minutes and the entire time, I was wishing it was over. It just wasn't fun for me and because of that, I had no motivation to go. One day, I decided I needed to get back in shape, lose weight and make sure I was doing exercise and I needed to find some way to do it which I wouldn't hate. I'm a groupon junkie and I did a lot of searches for gyms, trainers, etc. I needed some way to be held accountable for my working out. I found Inform Fitness and I was a little skeptical but I did all of my research on the Power of 10 and finally decided to give it a go. I bought a six session groupon and made an appointment for the following week. My first session/consultation was with Joe, who continues to be my trainer today. He's great! He's very knowledgeable and very adaptable on what you need for success. I'm not the kind of person who needs a trainer with a drill sergeant mentality, so he's never like that with me, but he knows how to keep pushing me to my full potential. He'll mention how I did the prior week and because I'm very competitive, that is motivation for me to try to do better this week. He's also involved in the training himself and has pictures to prove the results - which is also very motivating! Inform Fitness is by no means "easy." This method will kick your butt. But after being there for two months, in addition to maintaining good eating practices, I am definitely seeing results in terms of weight loss and having more strength and other people are as well! The great thing about Inform Fitness is that it's only one per week and it takes 20-30 minutes. As someone who dreaded going to the gym, this is a workout even I can maintain. I hated having to go to the gym 4-5x per week! So now, going only once per week and having to give 200% for 30 minutes really isn't asking too much! Even I can manage. I had previously said "I don't love this, but I definitely don't hate it!" And that was good enough for me to keep going even after my groupon ended. And now I might slightly be starting to love it! I'll admit - it is pricey! It would be cheaper to just get a local gym membership - like I used to have. But I never went, so my health definitely wasn't winning. It is pricey but it's definitely worth it - to commit to a training plan you can stick to and can become better and stronger from! I was a little concerned about the price after finishing the groupon but I was able to work out a payment plan with them to make sure I could afford it and keep coming! I'm not sure if there's a groupon still but if there is, try it out if you're unsure! I'm very happy here! read more

I just had my first session at InForm and I loved it. The workout is only 20 minutes and each exercise is done at high intensity but very slowly, which somehow really works the muscles at a deep level. The training was very good and I enjoyed it. Give it a try! read more

Got a groupon for this place and boy am I glad I did! I needed to get back into a routine and Jon (trainer) helped me do that. All the staff here is excellent! Sheila, the owner is so helpful, understanding and quick to respond to any questions or concerns you may have. Inform fitness has an unconventional approach to working out called the "failure technique" be prepared for an INTENSE workout...you'll only come once a week, but I promise you will see results in the amount you are able to lift during your next session. My groupon allowed 3 personal training sessions (those came and went) and now I have signed on for 6 months. Inform Fitness offers fast & effective weekly work outs in the comfort of a nearly empty gym. My husband and I started going to IF in summer of 2016. We go once a week, typically on the wkend, and we each meet with our own personal trainer for 20-30 minutes. It's just us in he gym when we go! The gym is clean with top of the line equipment. The method used is easy to implement and the weight gradually builds, so you never feel like it's too much. My personal trainer has also given me diet recommendations and we've done some comprehensive measurements and weigh ins. So far I've lost 20 pounds. I highly recommend IF! read more

I was referred to Linda Cole because I had a strong therapeutic need for weight lifting, but at the same time was a good candidate for injury in a traditional gym setting. I have now been doing high intensity very slow weight training for nearly a year with her. Linda is meticulous in her approach, continually supervising my form and insuring I don't get hurt. And I haven't gotten hurt, not once. Now that we've moved to this great new facility, InForm Fitness, there's even more machines, which Linda takes advantage of, creating multiple routines that we alternate out week to week. The results for me, a sedentary middle aged man, have been very gratifying. It's so encouraging to know that at my age I've been able to make my physique pleasingly better. I have been training with Bill Culhane of Inform Fitness for over a year and it has been a refreshingly pleasurable experience. The Power of 10 was an entirely new concept to me, and since I am a working professional I have limited time to dedicate to physical fitness. I have been working with Bill Culhane for about two months now on the slow motion power of 10 once a week workout. I never thought I would say this about a gym or fitness program but really really like this place. I have had very little success with most other fitness activities but I believe I may finally have found the right fit....pun intended. For those who don't feel like reading the whole review, here are some the highlights. -No pushy or aggressive sales pitch. -High quality equipment -Experience and educated trainers -One-on-one program -Fast and intense 20 minute workout -Workout done just once a week -Clean and well maintained facility -Extremely safe -Friendly and supportive staff -I noticed results within the first 4 weeks. I started working with Sheila Melody about a month and a half ago and to be completely honest, I went in expecting to hate it. Instead, I pretty much liked it from the start. There was no aggressive sales pitch or trainers with an abundance of misplaced enthusiasm. Before the first workout, I spent a little time filling out minor paperwork about my medical background and talked about my goals. I explained to Sheila that I hate group exercise and resent the participation in an activity for the sole purpose of exercise. And when it comes to exercise, I don't really want to talk about it....I just want to get it over with. To this she replied "Perfect!". When she took me into the gym, I immediately knew this wasn't the type I was used to. The equipment appeared more sophisticated and of very high quality. It looks more like what you might see at physical therapy. There are about 15 pieces of large weight-bearing equipment that each target a different group of muscles. She explained the method uses very slow, controlled, weight bearing exercises. Each exercise is done continuously for about 2 minutes until the muscle is completely exhausted. The whole workout lasts about 20 minutes and is done only once a week.....awesome!! At my first session, Sheila spent a great deal of time getting everything just right. The position of the seat, the starting weight, my form, etc....all needed to be precise. She explained that safety is the largest principle in the method and that the program is one-on-one for this very reason. I was reminded that nothing will knock you out of good exercise habits faster than an injury....good point. There were a couple of things I noticed about how Sheila worked that I really liked. She never yelled or raised her voice, always speaking with clear and soft certainty, and helping me to stay focussed on the movements. There was no 'rah-rah, c'mon you can do it' business. Just basic instructions. There are a bunch of YouTube videos about their method (Power of 10) so I won't bore you with the specifics. What I will tell you is that the workout is intese. After the 20 minute workout I felt like not-quite-cooled jello. am seeing results, feeling stronger and notice tone and definition in places that didn't have it before. Best research ever! I'very been working out with Ann for about 6 weeks and am already feeling better and stronger. I had my first Power of 10 session here yesterday. Their equipment is top notch! And the trainers really cares about your safety. I felt comfortable and ready before I started working out. I was about 3 machines in, and I started to panic because I wasn't use to working out at all. But the trainer reassured me that I was ok and that I can do it. I went to another slow-motion studio after trying Inform Fitness (I research) and came running back to sign up with Inform Fitness and I am so glad I did. The place is clean and smells fresh. More than that, my trainer (Sheila) is incredible. She watches my form with a precise eye and talks me through each machine in a motivating way. I found out about Inform Fitness completely by accident and, shortly after that, my wife and I both joined. I have been lifting weights most of my adult life and I have been fortunate to train with experts. The Inform Fitness slow motion workout is perfect for busy people because the training is intense enough that most people will see great progress with only one short session per week. The machines are super high end, the trainers are very knowledgeable and the entire workout takes about 30 minutes or less. Believe me, you will leave knowing that you did some serious work! I've been going to Inform Fitness for almost two years and I love it. Yes, it's expensive, but you're spending more money so you can spend less time exercising -- that's a good deal in my book. I'm a busy working mom, and I love that I can get a full body workout in less than an hour a week. Since starting at IF, I've gotten way stronger, can see muscles that weren't there before, and have lost about 10 pounds, finally getting back to my pre-baby weight. Jon, my trainer, is hilarious, and keeps me up to date on Star Wars movies, video games, politics and late night TV. The gym is pleasant and quiet, and the machines are state-of-the-art. The exercises are challenging because you're working out at high intensity, but the set-up feels very safe with the guidance of an expert trainer; I have not gotten injured once! This is a gym I can deal with! I had never been into gyms before I started training here in January of 2018. The vibe is so relaxed. No mirrored walls and loud music. It is a tranquil and serene environment.... the perfect place to focus on mindful movement and strength. I love the different equipment here. The slow training feels amazing for my body. I have gained strength and muscle mass here simply by consistently training weekly for the 18 months. Now when I go to yoga I feel like a superhero. My trainer Joe is excellent. He knows how to motivate me by calming me or encouraging me. I have learned that I am so much stronger than I think. This is seriously my favorite weekly ritual ever! Even when I am low energy and I show up and train I am surprised at how good I feel afterwards. I love this gym and tell all my patients about it. The new isometric machine is great too, especially if you need to build bone mass. I feel at least 2 inches taller every time I use that machine! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this gym! I have been working out at Inform Fitness for 3 months now and I've seen incredible results using their Power of 10 workout. I've never worked out before. I've been intimidated by gyms and I didn't have the time or motivation to workout on my own. I began going to Inform Fitness over two years ago for an injury I had in my back called Catastrophic Reverse Loop Syndrome. After an ER visit and two appointments with different doctors my serve pain could not be controlled and the doctors were at a loss on how to help me. I then found trainer Ann Kirkland at Inform Fitness who with her knowledge of the body and training expertise was able to fully heal my back and made me even stronger than I was before. Ann guided me through a full body work out in only a half an hour's time that was high intensity combined with strength training which was all done in slow motion. The training is so much easier on the body then traditional training. These work outs not only are transforming but healing to the body. Inform Fitness is not a typical gym; each person is given a personal trainer that trains them and helps them specifically for their body needs and goals, while charting their progress.
