She had so many great ideas but was also very open to our ideas. We returned again when our daughter was about 4 weeks old. Melissa was so patient and ensured our little one was warm and comfortable throughout the shoot. As you can imagine, babies don't always cooperate so we returned two weeks later and completed our family photo session. The pictures were phenominal, the lighting perfect, and the customized baby announcements were so unique and more beautiful than what we could have found online. We can't wait to see what ideas Melissa has for our daughter as she grows up!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed working with Mary and will treasure our photos for years to come! Booking: It was easy and straightforward to book Mary. Prior to booking, Mary took the time to answer all of my questions and to understand what I was hoping to achieve. She also provided several recommendations such as when to feed the baby, how to keep the baby calm, make-up, studio session timeline, etc. which allowed us to achieve the best-results. There were no surprises! When we arrived, we knew exactly what to expect. Her attention to detail and thorough consultation prior to the actual shoot allowed for an effective and efficient shoot. The shoot: The studio has ample parking and it was easy to access her studio. The session started promptly upon our arrival. She has an extensive selection of props for the shoot and costumes for mommy and baby. I appreciate that she checked in with me throughout the shoot to make sure that I was happy with her outfit selections and color combinations for our baby. Mary was sure to handle our baby with the utmost care and she also had an assistant. As a first-time mom, it can be nerve wrecking to entrust your baby with someone. I even learned a few soothing techniques from Mary that we leverage today. She did an excellent job of coordinating the family portion of the shoot and provided excellent posing guidance. Gallery delivery: It was easy to select photos for editing. We were really happy with our final gallery and the timeliness of the delivery. Mary is talented, pleasant, and professional. We felt great warmth during our session! We enjoyed working with her and had a positive experience from beginning to end!

Our overall maternity shoot with Mary Bosotu Photography was an experience we won't forget, but not in the memorable way we were anticipating. Would not recommend...4/10. Mary Bosotu Photography came highly recommended by a family member so when my first choice was booked solid I reached out for Mary's availability. Her business appealed to me because of her variety of dress offerings and photos of previous clients in her social media page. Her assistant Vivian was amazing and very timely in answering emails. However after paying the initial deposit Mary was harder to reach which I totally understood and gave time before following up. Five days prior to the scheduled photoshoot, late October 2021, I was finally able to speak with Mary on the phone for a consultation. She seemed pleasant enough on the phone and answered all of questions. Fast forward to the day of the maternity shoot we were running about 15 mins behind. I called and texted Mary about 45 mins prior and recieved no answer. Upon pulling up to her home we were unsure where to park so again I called but no answer. We happened to see a woman staring at us from her driveway so we stopped and asked if she was Mary. She stated yes and told us where to go very flatly. The lackluster greeting and non response to calls made me a bit weary but we proceeded anyway. Upon walking into the studio, the ambiance was be off putting. Lights were turned off, untidy bathroom and floor messy with props & flowers that we had to step over to pass. Mary was not very welcoming and seemed to be having a bad day as soon as we entered the studio. Again against our better judgement we tried to be optimistic that things would get better. I tried to remain upbeat, however a mixture of hormones and annoyance left me trying to shake the disappointment off. Long story short(ish)...I had to ask several times for her to change the backdrop and to include props for the different outfit changes. These requests were made due to other photos we liked on her IG page, not arbitrarily. However she seemed impatient and annoyed anytime I spoke or asked for something. Also I was under the impression that I would be able to try on the dresses in her inventory at the time of the shoot but was rudely informed that I could only try on two dresses because she did not want to launder unused dresses. If that's your policy I respect that but would have been nice to mention during our phone consultation! Fast forward to the raw unedited photos being delivered via email. She requested we chose our favorite poses and stated that the photos would be edited and returned. Upon seeing the photos I was sadden to see the frustration in my facial expressions, lack of direction for proper positioning, etc. However I wrote back inquiring about the editing process because I was interested in having some imperfections removed from my belly & curious about the ability to adjust awkward leg positions, if possible. I don't believe she understood the true intent of my question because her response was very defensive and condescending. In response, she recommended that I "review my website or Instagram to get an understanding of how final images look". Are you kidding me?! Without seeing unedited to compare to edited photos, how is that supposed to help me ma'am. At that point I knew she wasn't having a one off bad day but was not capable of communicating effectively, being empathetic, professional or courteous. In order to not further upset myself I chose not to engage with her anymore after receiving the final digital shots. As a first time mom I wanted these keepsake photos to commemorate my pregnancy and to cherish for years to come with my new family. I didn't view the questions I had as too demanding but rather typical for not knowing what to expect. I strongly dislike the way our photos came out for the amount of money spent. Her newborn pics are adorable and appear to be her strong suit. However due to our ordeal we won't be returning or recommending to others. My sincere hope is that our experience is a one off and others have a more pleasant maternity session outcome. Cheers!

Stacey is an absolute fraud!!!!…read more Stacey came highly recommended by my network of mums, and I really loved her work we saw on her website. On April 24th, we finally managed to have the shoot after a month of unfavorable weather, as we were planning an outdoor shoot. Stacey came on time and we had an amazing time! But that was the end of the fairy tale, the rest is a horror story! We paid Stacey her retainer before the shoot, and were told to pay the remaining after the shoot, which we did. We paid her the total amount for a full family shot, and she promised to deliver the photos in 7-10 days. Two weeks later, as I never heard back from her, I tried calling her and emailing her, I was unable to leave a voice mail and she didn't respond to my texts. She got back to me a few days later apologizing and asking me to pay the balance minus a rebate as she was late in delivery, and promising to post the photos the next day. I was surprised as we had already paid this woman the total amount. I emailed her back with a copy of my card statement showing that we paid her the full amount already. And since that day we never ever heard back from her. Never. I first thought something happened to her, and I was genuinely worried. Even my husband thought the same. I realized we had common Facebook friends, so I tried to find out if she was fine, after getting a confirmation that she was fine and her family was fine too, I decided enough was enough and I will let everyone know what she has done to us. We emailed and called and texted, but never got a response, and I left her several voice messages as well. This woman has disappeared with our photos and the money from our session. I am horrified that someone so highly praised in the industry in the area can risk her reputation and behave in this way. Not only we couldn't get our photos, she took our time and money.
