My first impression is PRG Real Estate Management does not invest their earnings to improve living standards/conditions. It's 2021 and the washer/dryer appears to be from the 70s/80s. The model and model photo washer/dryer wasn't old, which in my opinion is misleading. We are ok with the white kitchen appliances but making the change to stainless steel should be a priority. The refrigerator could be bigger and the stove upgraded to flat top. The sink is not two sided which I knew about when leasing but it's like, why? The closets haven't been updated with the new standard white wire shelving. There's trash on the floor in the master bedroom. The patio is filthy with rotted railings. The front door apt number has rusted nails sticking out. Multiple cracks in the ugly popcorn ceiling. There's no microwave and no linen closet. The toilets were dirty and there's dust in the corner of the ceilings. It smells bad like cigarette smoke. These apartments are extremely overpriced. It's disappointing and I'm glad we're only leasing here until our new home is built. Already counting down the days. Please invest in making this a better place for your tenants. By Sunday, when we tried to do laundry, the dryer made such a loud, awful squealing noise it sounded like something was trapped inside. At that point, we assumed maybe the weekend was the reason behind delayed work orders. However, Monday came and went without a single visit from maintenance. By then, we also realized the fridge was not keeping food cold and the door itself was slanted, leaving a gap where cold air escaped. After waiting all day Monday without help, I went to the office on Tuesday to ask in person when these issues would be fixed. Instead of professionalism, I was met with a dismissive and unprofessional attitude from the property manager, who spoke to me as though I had no right to be concerned about the condition of the apartment. When maintenance finally did arrive later that day, they were polite and understanding, but the fact remained nearly every appliance in the apartment was broken or malfunctioning. Out of everything, only the stove and the washer worked. That is completely unacceptable for a new move-in. Now, two week later, many of these issues are still unresolved. The fridge door is still broken, the ice maker is still not hooked up, and the AC still struggles whenever the weather gets warm. We were given a window unit for our bedroom just so we could sleep comfortably, which should not be necessary in an apartment with central air. A replacement microwave has said to have been ordered, but we are still without one. The water heater has already required multiple repairs, leaving us without hot water again just last night and this morning. I do not think it is unreasonable to expect that when moving into a new apartment, the appliances should be functional and the unit should be livable. Instead, we were put in a situation where nearly every essential appliance was broken from day one, our concerns were brushed off by the property manager, and we've had to live in discomfort while waiting for basic functionality. There wasn't much he did other than indirectly offer to speak to management about getting us a room for the night. By that time it was after 8pm and he assured us someone would be here first thing in the morning. We didn't WANT to stay on Friday night, however, because they were still waiting on a plumber , and couldn't guarantee if this would or would not happen again, we were afraid to leave and no one be here to stop another overflow. Apparently, according to this woman in the office, they refuse to help us now, because according to her, we refused help Friday night. What a crock of bull crap! We didn't refuse! We simply tried as tenants to make the right decision for everyone in an already stressful, disgusting evening. So 9:30am Saturday the clean up crew comes in and cleans up and leaves huge industrial size blowers in our living room and said we will be back next week and left. They did a great job, unlike management, so I want to make that clear. This is on management not the clean up crew! Yesterday at 4pm, the pipes overflowed again!!!!! I called the office, and the idiot at the desk says "oh call back the office, so you can leave a message for maintenance, and I won't answer the phone". Wtf As of today 10/10/21 no one has come by, I have left 4 voice messages for maintenance, including TWO online maintenance requests WITH PICTURES, and the feces and urine is still on our floors at 12:15pm !!!!!! I sure hope management is having a GREAT fun filled, none shit filled weekend unlike us.
