This is a lovely Inn dating back to 1476 which makes it one of the oldest in Romney Marsh.
They offer B&B which given the location makes it ideal to use as a base to explore the area or just stay the night before getting the Eurotunnel to France which is nearby.
The restaurant does a good selection of food and caters well for vegetarians.
The bar boasts a welcoming open fire and on a cold miserable evening is a sight to behold. There is also a games room.
In the summer there is a nice garden to sit in.
Opposite the Inn is the Church of St Mary the Virgin, this is a beautiful church and buried in the Churchyard is Edith Nesbit famous for writing the novel The Railway Children. read more
