Urban Grounds Cafe - Smashed Avocado with a side of Chorizo

I added a side of Chorizo, at $4.50 way overpriced for what you get. Didn't start off too well, served on a "cracked" board, I hare those boards, you can plate a meal just as well on a plate. The peas and onion overpowered the meal, that was all I could taste, avocado has a subtle taste I couldn't taste it at all. The turkish was stale and not toasted at all, toasting would have gotten rid of the stale taste. The chorizo, about 8 very thin slices, was overcooked, so hard and dry, and not worth the added cost. The coffee on the other hand was delightful, weak and extra hot as ordered. Added extra for coffee lovers, refills (regular size" coffees are only $2 . Will come back to try the other extensive menu items, but wouldn't have the Avocado again.

The menu is well thought out and the choices are relatively comprehensive without having too much choice that you can't decide. Their wine list was again well thought out and with a good choice available by the glass The food is of really good quality and well presented! The coffee is good too Weather you sit in their outdoor area or inside, the Staff cater for you and are constantly discreetly checking to ensure you are enjoying the food and beverages and any extras you might need Highly recommend

I recently learned that Howard Wright-- a major investor and director of this establishment--was…read morefined for driving "in a dangerous manner" in an incident that involved a 12-year-old boy on an e-bike. A joke of a punishment for the crime. On video you can see this sick man speed up in a Audi, intentionally, to hit a child on a bike on the side of the road out of traffic. He proceeds to scream at the child, while the child pleaded for his life. I hope karma does her magic. Even more concerning is how Mr. Wright seemed to justify his actions by blaming the child's bike as "illegal," rather than genuinely acknowledging the danger and illegality his own driving posed. I expect higher ethical standards and community responsibility from anyone at the helm of a hospitality business. While the restaurant itself may serve somewhat average food or drinks, I personally cannot support an establishment whose leadership shows such disregard for safety and empathy--especially when a young child's wellbeing is at stake. Until clear accountability and genuine remorse are demonstrated, I'll be dining elsewhere. If you care about patronizing businesses that reflect your values, I would encourage you to consider taking your money and support elsewhere, too. The experience at these venues sucked before these events occurred too, every other option nearby provide a way better experience. Terrible for family photos. Terrible lighting

There are heavy curtains hanging and behind one lot of curtains was the pool table. Tables and chairs a plenty so your sure to get a seat. They have a small nibble menu and the Italian meatballs were full of flavour and came out in this cute cast iron frypan with bread on the side. I ordered a Peroni beer and fell over backwards as it arrived in a 500ml glass. They also had a special going that is you order a pizza and two 300 ml Peroni beers you pay $25. This cafe wine beer bar had friendly staff and is an Italian bar. Definitely worth a visit if you want to meet up with friends over a quiet drink.

It's easy enough to find and very easy to identify with clothing out the front. There are also some old bicycles out the front with so much vintage quality that the first image that came to my mind was Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck haphazardly riding one of them. This place is littered with all things Vintage: on the walls, on racks, hanging, draping, sitting, resting, everywhere. There's even a lovely little record player you can marvel at. It's obviously a house that's been transformed into a shop and every room you move through is a new adventure with new things to play with. There's a sweet little selection of clothing and I didn't see one item of it exceed $40. And the tag not only features the price of the piece, it also identifies what era it belongs to. Lovely. Boys, be happy too; in other shops you're usually assigned one rail if you're lucky. Here, you get a whole room complete with cowboy boots to try on. Grab a coffee while you sing along to "Under the Boardwalk" and then take some time to pop downstairs and browse the furniture. The back stairs give way to a den-like basement that holds this part of the store with things including an old keyboard, television, suitcase, and a bundle of chairs that look like they were lifted straight from your grandma's living room. This place is the collective creation of two lovely ladies who obviously live and breathe all things vintage, and I'm definitely a fan of their work. It's a novelty little place with so much charm and potential. Massive snaps to whoever did their design and logo as well, because that was a really enticing factor for me.

There is a very cool vintage clothes store in West End that also posts pics of their wares on Instagram and Facebook but I've notice it only seems to have size 8 and 10. Huh? Marilyn Monroe would be disgusted! So, thank you CYKAS - keep stocking 12s and 14s. Us 'real' curvy women will love you forever. And keep posting your clothes on IG and FB. You have the best stuff. For the record, I ended up buying a beautiful wool cape which I wore to a wedding recently. Now a firm favourite in my wardrobe.
