I came to In de Buurt alone, and was seated promptly. The Pub is cozy, with the bar area nestled in the middle and seating surrounded on it. It you want to sample smaller brewery beer, In de Buurt has a decent selection. I ordered the Beef Satay- pieces of beef on a skewer marinated with a coconut and peanut sauce. It was also coated with bread crumbs, peanuts, and peppers. The beef satay was poorly cooked, with some pieces being just right and the others were too hard and chewy. The sauce was too overpowering as well. Overall if it was cooked better and had a little less sauce, it would have been better. It looked good, but taste wasn't quite there. The big gripe here is the service and timing- the pub wasn't packed, yet everything moved way too slowly. It took almost 30 minutes to get my food. On top of that the servers were more preoccupied on their phones. In de Buurt is an option, but not the best option- if you see that there's space while everything else is packed, this is an option for you.

The service was attentive and friendly. Yelp definitely helped make our selection with the high rating and pictures, always helpful! We stayed at the American Hotel and it was a short walk to the location. I ordered the hamburger, as this was the last night of our euro vacation and I was craving some taste of home. It was absolutely delicious. Cooked to perfection and just juicy AF. Better than most burgers I've had in the states, and I've had my fair share! I ordered a side of fries with mayo, good but nothing extraordinary. My husband ordered the Entrecôte, a filet size steak (a bit thinner) that was so tender and also cooked perfectly, medium rare would be our suggestion. It came with roasted tomatoes on the vine and an herb butter sauce that was to die for! He got the mixed salad with vinaigrette but theirs is a bit different, basically a honey mustard dressing. The wine selection was great and it was very affordable. His steak was 14,50 and my burger was 12,50! Highly recommended!
