I really like the atmosphere at spinning wheel. I haven't been here in a while but I used to go all the time. It offers a beautiful quaint atmosphere in a lovely rustic setting. The last time I was here I got their clam chowder which was delicious followed by some pizza which I didn't like too much honestly but as it was the first time I ordered something there that I didn't like I would still rate them a four. I mean anybody can have an off day. I am glad to see they're still around and would recommend them because they're beautiful and I've always enjoyed myself here. I think you will too.

Last Friday I experienced a decision made by Chef that defies all logic I ordered there Cobb salad Cobb salad's traditionally come with chicken I wanted to increase my protein and so on the menu that I have attached to this post the option to add or substitute at an additional cost I asked the waitress to add shrimp to my salad her response was the kitchen doesn't like to do that but she would ask the chef it was to my dismay that her response when she came back to the table is the chef would not add a second protein to my salad? I understand in some circumstances where kitchens cannot remove something from the dish that may be prepared in advance however the addition or subtraction of chicken shrimp salmon which is clearly marked on the menu to begin with anrequest made by a patron who is spending good money to dine at a location when there are so many other choices perplexes me to no end. I am a culinary graduate I ran restaurants in New York City and was also executive chef I would never do this to somebody and for that I will never step foot back at the spinning wheel! FYI

This place is our go to restaurant in the area. The menu is great, I love the bacon and Brussels sprouts and the burger particularly, and there are lots of options for kids. I especially love sitting near the fire place in winter, it's so cozy! Each time we have eaten here the service has been extremely friendly. My only suggestion is that I would advise not sitting near the bar if you want a quieter dinner.

We really enjoyed this restaurant. From the minute we entered we were made to feel at home. The restaurant is very nice, they don't over do it with art and decorations but has a very clean rustic style to it. For starters I had the butternut squash soup and my girlfriend had the New England Clam Chowder. Both were absolutely delicious. Personally I love my soup to be on the thicker side and this one did not disappoint. It was perfect! The New England Clam Chowder was just as good. For our entrees I had the New York Strip which was served with asparagus and fries. The cut was very good but the temperature was just a bit off but I was ok with it. My girlfriend had the Shepherds pie and she totally loved it. We usually don't do dessert but this time we did, we ordered the hot pecan brownie a la mode and was very pleased with it. Overall we were totally impressed with this place and will definitely come back to try other items from the menu.

Still love this place but it's closed and only open for private events. Maybe someday it will reopen again.

This is our first visit to the Spinning Wheel, though we had been meaning to try this place for a long while now. First off, Kudos to the excellent waitress who waited on us. I forgot her name, but she was excellent at her job, and didn't forget the cutlery or the order or the requests we'd made. She also checked in on us twice during the meal and took care of our cheque swiftly, despite the restaurant being full. It has been a long while having such perfect service, i actually forgot how good it felt! Wow! We thought to return to do a birthday dinner here, because the menu has a wide range and variety of foods for all ages and all types. Including for us vegans and vegetarians. I was very happy with our choices. The prices were also very reasonable for the service and the food they provided. It was an excellent meal, and they really were easy on the salt. Such a wonderful change from all the other places and localities that tend to make the food so salty, it is all one can taste. So, I am really pleased with our first visit, and look forward to returning with friends. Great job, folks!

The house was warm and she had most of the windows open to "get fresh air in." It turns out the air conditioning can't keep up but never mind that. We were there for my brother's wedding being held right next door. At 4:30pm we were literally sitting in the front row waiting for wedding to start - we are talking at any second, not minute, any second it was to start - I see my brother motion to me to come to him. He then tells me that we were being kicked out of the precious Fountain Inn because we had a 3-year-old. Not knowing when I paid for the overpriced $482 room that they didn't allow kids under 12 is certainly on me. However, Morgan should have said something immediately and not waited 3 1/2 hours and wait for moment the wedding was about to start to throw us all to the street (my 85-year-old was with us to boot). Morgan claims there was a complaint, however there was just one other couple staying there and they left for lunch as we were coming in. Within an hour, most of the wedding party was in the self-important Fountain Inn, and you can't tell me there was some mystery complaint over a 3-year-old when 12 to 15 people were getting ready for a wedding. I'm sorry, but Morgan is a liar. The wedding wound up being delayed because Morgan chooses that time to throw us all out on the street. We had to gather our things and move to another place. To enhance Morgan's rude and grossly ill-timed eviction, she had to send me a "As per our conversation" text message - again right as the wedding trying to start. The Fountain Inn is run by completely unprofessional staff and grossly overpriced for antiquated accommodation. There are too many far better options in the area to stay here.

However, our reservation was at 1pm and we did not get seated until 1:30pm. It would not have been as bad if one of the staff simply came out to say sorry we will get you seated as soon as we can. There was literally no contact with anyone. We kept poking our heads around to make sure they knew we were there. The worst part was there were numerous open tables. I would've been fine had they sat us as given us some water vs. just waiting in the waiting room Once we were seated, our waitress was as pleasant as anyone could be. Very very kind. We ordered the winter tea service and started out with the tea sandwiches. They were very tasty as was the tea. Because we were so hungry we finished everything before the scones arrived. Once they arrived, they nice and warm which was a nice touch. However, the inside was still raw and doughy. I picked around it as best I could. The pianist was a nice addition. The photos and menu looked great - I had no idea they only opened a couple months ago, until our server mentioned it. You wouldn't guess it, based on the attention to detail and how smoothly everything runs. It's a lovely space. They take your coats, give you purse hooks, and have a piano player jazzing up the ambiance with mellow yet uplifting tunes. The table was set perfectly with china and all the accessories you need with tea. There is a fancy/classy, yet casual, vibe. We were excited to find out we could both pick our own teas and that we didn't have to agree on one tea service (for food). The scones and treats were the same on all, but the sandwich selection varied on the three different afternoon tea menus. I opted for the "classic", which came with coronation chicken salad, ham/cheddar/mango chutney, cucumber, smoked salmon, and egg salad sandwiches. My husband got the "teas around the world" which came with Brie/apple/honey, ham/gruyere/dijon, olive tapenade/sundried tomato, chickpea/tzatziki, and a spiced chicken sandwich. All were excellent!! And when we finished, they even offered us more if we wanted them. The teas were great! We were allowed to pick our own teas (didn't have to share) from a broad menu of teas. The owner buys direct in London to get some of the finest teas that are not available locally. I am caffeine free so opted for Marian Wright Edelman's Guardian's Grace, a fruity herbal tea that was relaxation in a teacup for me. My husband first tried the Elizabeth Cady Stanton's Strength Blend, and the also had Mary McLeod Bethune's Essence of Uplift. They were all different, but all very tasty, and perfectly brewed. It also wasn't lost on me that the teas were named after amazingly strong women throughout history, and that we were enjoying them at a woman owned business, on International Women's Day! The scones were delivered fresh out of the oven with your choice of clotted cream, jam, or lemon curd (YES to all, please!) or also butter. The pastries I believe are a rotating selection, but all were tasty bites. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, welcoming, and hospitable. It's a nice easy pace, with two hours reserved for your experience. It was a wonderful escape from reality! I really appreciate Laurie, Donjae, and Ingrid for creating the perfect experience for us today. 10/10 highly recommend. Call ahead for reservations!

Nevertheless, Currier hired me and my daughter to lead a mushroom weekend in 2017. She signed a contract, including a statement that if she canceled the event, we'd be paid in full. Then, when it was way too late for me to schedule other events, she pulled the rug out for under me, canceled our event, and hired someone else to do the mushroom weekend, despite the signed contract, causing us to lose a much-needed weekend of work.
