From the very first communication, Bryan was professional & responsive. He was very easy to work with and dare I say "fun"! Since my husband and I are tikiphiles; it was important to us to find a bartender who was already well-versed in tiki cocktails and someone who would be willing to not only wear a Hawaiian shirt, but a lei as well. Bryan was our guy! He even had a Hawaiian shirt already! We figured out what 5 cocktails we would serve and Bryan promptly sent us the list of ingredients. During the party, Bryan was fun to engage with and all of our 50+ guests raved about his delicious cocktails! His tiki drinks & energetic attitude were the hit of our party! Bryan was also very flexible and was even willing to stay an hour longer than our agreed upon time. I cannot sat enough good things about Bryan! We will definitely hire him again for our next tiki party! A big Mahalo to you, Bryan.

Prior to the event, he helped me come up with 3 signature cocktails that we would be serving and gave me his quantity estimates for every ingredient so my shopping was easy. During our consultation, Jordana spoke rudely and unprofessionally about one of our other vendors, which I know at least one other couple experienced. They had the foresight to go with another bartender. She was stubborn and passive-aggressive at times during our consultations and was upset about having to compromise with our caterer for space at our venue after we had some changes in plans. She also tracked every minute she spent on our project to charge us for at the end, which made me uncomfortable asking her to make adjustments as needed. Jordana confronted my sister at our events - once for not reusing her recyclable cup and again for complaining about her to the owners of the venue, and several of our guests complained to me after our welcome party that Jordana had been over-friendly and flirty with them. I know that bartenders put their licenses on the line if they over-serve, so to me it seemed it was a lack of experience and skill that led to the Bewitched team serving our white guests until they were drunk and some Asian guests were cut off while they were still completely sober. The team also did not know how to read the room as they were out on the dance floor and singing karaoke despite tension with me and some of our guests. I'll note that the drinks they made for us were superb, but were batched by Island Elixirs who they contract, not by Bewitched. I also found it extremely off-putting that I paid a 20% gratuity in advance and they still put out a tip jar. Overall I would not recommend Bewitched to anyone I know. I know few services will ever be completely perfect, but there was just too much to overlook. Two stars because they treated some of our guests well.

Here are some ways they went above…read moreand beyond for us: 1) they created a full shopping list for it, and even rushed to create it early when we had timelines change. 2) they created an espresso martini for us that our guests could have on the dance floor, and let us sample it the night before 3) they befriended all of our guests - everyone was raving about them 4) while my partner and I were eating dinner, we didn't need to stand up to grab a drink once - they were there to offer us a cocktail or a glass of wine right away 5) they greeted us right after photos with one of each of our signature cocktails. This is not even a comprehensive list -- they just kept doing absolutely amazing and special things for us, without us asking for any of it. If you're getting married in the San Juans, book this team without hesitating.

Wanna bring the cool factor to your next party, wedding or event?…read moreI highly recommend VIP Bartending if you want to bring things to the next level. Awesome bartending skills.....you want a speciality drink created you got it! Serving staff that aim to please no matter what the request is or how large your numbers are and all professionally done. Theme parties or just an air of class...the sky is the limit. Dave is the man who can make dreams come true. He did a wedding with over 400 guests that I attended which was through the roof; people were blown away! Dave has a knack for taking the stress out of the event and making it the party of all parties. Through his magic he managed to pull off something that most people will never relive again outside of a wedding. From what I seen that night, VIP is a must for your next event big or small.

Instead of forcing one of our friends to get a serving it right certificate and spend the night slinging drinks, I did some google searching and discovered VIP Bartending. I made a phone call and immediately got a hold of Dave, who is the owner of the company. Dave's mantra is making sure that your wedding bartending is as low stress as possible. He is a very busy man, but he always returns phone calls and emails without fail. He is fantastic at answering many different questions, and even looked over our liquor list to make sure we didn't buy too many spirits that would end up unopened at the end of the night. We got married in New Westminster, which has way more liquor license rules and fine print than any other city in the lower mainland. Dave not only answered our questions and clarified the rules, but returned many panicked phone calls. Some perks about his bartenders: they come with their own set of tools, and purchase all of the limes, lemons, and ice for the evening (which you pay for at the end of the night or a few days after the wedding). They can also provide a float for a cash bar. Our bartender was Chris, and he was super friendly, personable, and made delicious drinks. I'm sure he also enjoyed our chemistry theme with beaker mugs for drinking glasses and test tubes for shots. Now for the important part: price. The deposit required to book VIP Bartending is $50, which is payable however you like (cash, cheque, or credit card). For our wedding, we hired the bartender to work from 4 PM to 12 AM. Our bartender showed up at 3 PM to set up, and was finished after midnight. The final cost for his services was $209, or $22 an hour plus HST. If you decide to get VIP Bartending to buy the liquor license for you, the cost is $25 for the license and $75 for the service ($100 total). I will admit that the bartender was probably one of the least stressful aspects of our wedding, so Dave was definitely true to his word. If you need a bartender for an event, I highly, highly recommend VIP Bartending.

*they have deleted our negative reviews from Google, which makes them look like they have good…read morereviews.* DO NOT use Copia for your wedding bartenders! They were extremely difficult to work with and had such nasty attitudes the month leading up to our wedding and the day of our wedding. It is extremely sad that people can try to ruin your day that you've been planning for 18 months. This was the happiest day for us and they were so rude to us, our guests, and our other vendors. They should NOT be in the bartending business because they are unhappy people. Bartending at someones wedding should be such a fun and exciting experience, but they looked miserable and unhappy the whole night. I'm not sure if something is going on in their personal lives, but they took it out on us and that's not okay. We provided all of the alcohol and cups. They had to show up and pour alcohol. They were unhappy with the alcohol we provided, the cup sizes, etc. We had water stations around our venue for guests to pour themselves water throughout the night. My mom asked them for some glasses to put at one of the stations and Joseph told my mom (mother of the groom) to "fuck off" when she asked. We bought the cups? We hired them from 4-10pm. Yet, when they were setting up around 1pm, they were questioning if the groomsmen were drinking hard alcohol. We had hydration sticks that we were pouring in water. Anything prior to 4pm is not your business though and should've been the concern of the venue. Throughout the night, Copia was requiring everyone to drink a cup of water before allowing them to get a new drink. This is ridiculous. By the end of the night, my wife (bride) was so fed up with them, that she went up to the bar and told them to stop requiring people to drink water. She said that people will grab a glass of water if they want one and we also had 2 other water stations around the venue. That night, we went through 10 galloons of water and 360 water bottles. People were hydrating and NO ONE was overly intoxicated. We also had a 50 person party bus for the end of the night so everyone was being safe and responsible. After she asked them to stop having people grab water, they then took away the water and when people asked for water, they said "the bride is refusing me to serve water" or "don't tell the bride I'm giving you water". How manipulative and highly inappropriate. It just felt like they were out to get us. Overall, our day was gorgeous, but it's really sad to me that these people are bartenders and tried to ruin our day. You are a bartender? What a fun job?? If you are so miserable, you need a new career.

*They have removed our negative reviews from google review…read moreI've NEVER had a more negative experience with anyone in my life. I know a lot of these reviews are in regards to their actual event center, which I cannot speak to, BUT I can speak to their wedding bartending and it was HORRIFIC! My wedding was about 3 weeks ago, and I finally feel like I am in a space to review. For awhile, I was so sad by how our day transpired, that it was hard to think of the positives of our day. I've never met such hateful people, on what was supposed to be our happiest day. This is going to be a long detailed review, but we had so many bad experiences, that I want to make sure that I am as thorough as possible to help others getting married AVOID them at all cost. Disclaimer: we got married at Stepping Stones Garden and they required us to use their preferred bartenders. We had such a bad experience with them leading up to the wedding and tried to get out of our contract with the, but Stepping Stones would not allow it. Leading up to the wedding: - we had pre-arranged to have a separate "cocktail hour" bar for an hour. When we asked to do a separate bar they said "where do you think you're getting married, Seattle?". Even though Stepping Stones said that they've had Copia do separate cocktail hour bars many times before. So this comment just felt rude and unnecessary. Then, they were very difficult and said we could only have champagne. After getting Stepping Stones involved, we finally were able to get them to budge and have 2 beverages (white claws and white wine), which still seemed silly. - They told us that the bar would be closing at 9pm even though the wedding reception did not end until 10pm. After talking with Stepping Stones, they said this was odd and that they usually did last call at 9:30pm. We finally got them to budge on the ending time once we got stepping stones involved. - Overall, leading up to the wedding they had a very nasty demeanor. Working with them was truly the only thing that I was stressed about leading up to the wedding. I was hopeful that their nastiness was just before the wedding and not during the actual day, but boy was I wrong. Day of the wedding: - We provided all of the alcohol (beer, wine, seltzer) and cups. My godfather is a beer salesman so he graciously provided us with the alcohol. When he arrived the morning of the wedding to drop off, Copia would not accept all of it. If the alcohol didn't get used, we planned on taking it back? As soon as my mom arrived with 10oz and 16 oz plastic cups for the beer and wine Copia was immediately frustrated and said they would not be using our cups, even though they did not specify a size we needed to purchase. The contract did NOT state a cup size. -In our contract, we paid extra for the cocktail bar to be open for one whole hour. Copia had the cocktail hour bar open for 15-30minutes. They allowed everyone to get 1 drink. As soon as there wasn't a line, they shut it down. My parents (MOB and FOB) went up to the cocktail hour bar during this time and asked for a drink where they were told no. They then went to the main bar to get a drink, where again they were told no. They did NOT communicate to us that they'd shut down after everyone got a drink. My poor parents were busy helping us that the got out to cocktail hour late and were refused. -I was very clear that I wanted people drinking out of glassware during dinner, but then switched over to plastic cups once we were on the dance floor so that glass didn't get broken. I think they were so mad at us for getting the wrong size plastic cups, so they didn't end up requiring people to use plastic. There were beer glasses and wine glasses on the dance floor, which in result, we had broken glass on the dance floor while people were dancing barefoot. - Joseph told my husbands mom (MOG) to "f*ck off", when she asked for more plastic cups to put out at the water station. We paid for the cups. - Throughout the night, Copia was requiring everyone to drink a cup of water before allowing them to get a new drink. This is ridiculous. By the end of the night, I was so fed up with them, that I went up to the bar and told them to stop requiring people to drink water. I said that people will grab a glass of water if they want one and we also had 2 other water stations around the venue. That night, we went through 10 galloons of water and 360 water bottles.
