We paid the full tuition for June, but shortly after, I had to remove my child due to safety concerns. The owner agreed to a courtesy credit of $1,023.75, which was refunded to our card. However, on July 6, 2023, they made an unauthorized charge of $1,417.50 to my account despite our clear notice. When we tried to resolve this issue with the owner, she avoided our calls and emails by blocking us, leaving us with no way to communicate. Even when we attempted to contact the school directly, the administrative staff repeatedly said, "Can we take a message?" but no one ever returned our calls or emails. This left us with no choice but to move forward with serving legal papers. It's clear that the owner is trying to keep the courtesy credit of $1,023.75 by offering a partial refund of $393.75, which is far below the total unauthorized charge of $1,417.50. Despite several attempts to resolve this amicably, the school refuses to return the full amount or even communicate honestly. Additionally, the level of professionalism at this school is appalling. We received emails from the school that were sent to multiple parents in copied emails, discussing other children's behavioral issues. This breach of privacy was disturbing and unprofessional. Our child, who has always been a top scholar with high marks in Georgia, began to feel bullied and picked on by the teachers. She never experienced issues in her other academies. She repeatedly complained to us about the treatment she was receiving from the staff, which made her time at Quad Academy even more difficult. Since our experience, we've spoken with several other parents who shared similar concerns about being mistreated by the staff and having issues with the school's unprofessional conduct. It seems these problems are not isolated, and many parents have felt unsupported and dismissed by the administration. While this all took place in 2023, I am only now leaving this review because we have been unable to resolve this matter despite multiple attempts. It has taken this long due to the lack of response from the school and the need to take legal action to get the situation properly addressed. We have written proof in emails that support everything stated here, including the courtesy credit agreement, the unauthorized charge, and our attempts to resolve the issue. If you are considering enrolling your child here, I would advise you to think twice. The school's unethical behavior and unprofessional conduct are concerning, and we are now pursuing legal action. The owner's avoidance of responsibility speaks volumes about the lack of integrity this school operates with. Review for Huntington Learning Center of Woodstock…read more Our experience with the Huntington Learning Center of Woodstock this summer was unfortunately disappointing--especially considering we had worked with them in the past, under a different director, with no issues at all. The change in management has significantly impacted the professionalism and overall experience. We enrolled both of our sons for summer tutoring and had initially agreed upon a discounted rate with the previous director for enrolling multiple children. However, that agreement was later disregarded by the owner, who insisted we pay the full amount--$5,000--upfront, even though no assessments or personalized learning plans had been completed yet. We clearly stated our intention to pay weekly while Huntington conducted evaluations and developed a structured academic plan. Instead of honoring that, the owner repeatedly pressured us and even interrupted one of my son's tutoring sessions--not only disrupting his learning but also directly questioning him, a minor, about how he planned to pay for the session. We found this to be highly inappropriate and unprofessional. Despite no game plan being shared and assessments still pending, she sold expensive books to our sons--knowing they had a credit card meant only for weekly session payments--and charged the books without our prior approval. Shortly afterward, she emailed us stating that services would be discontinued because we hadn't paid the full $5,000 upfront. We attempted to continue the program at the Alpharetta location, where the director initially had everything set up for us to start. However, after speaking with the Woodstock owner, he reversed course and refused to work with us as well. We then requested the academic assessments we had already paid for. The owner first refused to provide them, and after we pointed out that the assessments were conducted during paid sessions, she reluctantly agreed to send them but said she would not explain the results. We told her that was fine--but we never received anything. Fortunately, we are now working with a different tutor outside of Huntington. While his hourly rate is slightly higher, the total time built into his program is less than half of what Huntington wanted to charge us $5,000 for--and we are already seeing amazing results. After this experience, my older son even admitted that Huntington seemed to intentionally move slowly to extend the timeline and charge for more sessions. We're sharing this review to help other families make an informed decision. Our past experience with Huntington Woodstock was smooth and productive under the former director, but since the change in leadership, our experience has been marked by broken agreements, unprofessional behavior, and poor communication. When she called at my request so that a schedule could be resolved for the conference she was rude, stated that conferences were never scheduled before noon ( I was offered several 11:30am slots or from 9-3 on the second day), and stated that having the assessor involved in the conference was not the way they did things even though that was a request that was granted when I scheduled/rescheduled on both dates. I questioned why the communication between her and her staff was so lacking and this made her mad. She said that now the assessor would not be in the conference. I stated, while being rudely talked over repeatedly, that none of this was shared verbally or with a brochure when I iinitially contracted for services and that as educators we look at the whole child to assess strengths and weaknesses so it was important that the person who assessed him provide feedback on demeanor, attentiveness, etc. during assessment. She (the director) had never even met the child. She never offered a time/date for a conference. I stated that this was not in the child's best interest and that I'd just like my money back and she could keep the assessment results. She said no and that I could pick up the results(no conference for explanation or suggestions). She then said "I have another conference and hung up on me. If this is indicative of how Huntington works then my professional advice is to steer clear of them if you want help for your child.

There have been many instances over the years where teachers and administrators alike have gone above and beyond the call of duty to help, even taking a lunch box that belonged to my elementary school child to his school when I accidentally mixed them up. It is our last year at parkview and it saddens me. I can't speak to non-returning students and families for other grades, but can say that with many of the parents in our child's grade that nearly HALF (of the now 3rd grade), including their older and younger siblings in other grades, left after the 2024-2025 school year due to these ongoing concerns.
