The manager/owner Alan was at the counter and he was so friendly and nice. The bowl was filled with delicious passion fruit, blueberries, banana, chia seeds, kiwi, and strawberries. Tru Bowl is famous for the array of bases and toppings you can get, and of course I had to make my own concoction. Bowl 1: Build your own: MEDIUM Coconut, Mango, Blue Majik + OG Chia Seed Pudding. Topped with 3 fruits, pumpkin seeds, gluten free coconut granola and agave. Bowl 2: LARGE Island bowl (no mods) Both were SO TASTY! The variety of flavors in both bowls went very well with each other. It was easy to modify, too, for any dietary restrictions (I personally have a lot of food allergies + gluten sensitivity, and clearly, my bowl was PACKED). The team was very kind and patient with our decision making, and were quick with putting together our bowls. If we weren't going shopping after words, there would have been definitely left overs (to SOME extent) from other our bowls. There was minimal seating, but the complex/shop didn't get too busy to where we didn't have room to sit nor park. Typical smoothie shop vibes on the inside, but loved the touch of the cactus wall :)

Ambiance (3/5): Robeks is pretty much a grab-and-go spot. There's a counter inside, but not seating. Directly outside of the juice and smoothie bar, there are two or three tables. I sat outside after my order was ready. Service (3/5): Service isn't a big part of the experience. You order at the counter and they call your name when your order is ready. The employee working wasn't too friendly and didn't seem like he wanted to be there. All good. It happens. Drinks (N/A): While they have a good number of smoothies, I went with an acai bowl instead. Food (2/5): I'll start things off by saying I'm a big acai bowl fan. I've had them at so many locations that I've lost count. This was the worst acai bowl I had. I went with one of their seasonal selections that had an acai base, strawberries, bananas, "granola," and honey. Man, where to start. The acai base was on the lower side quality wise compared to what I've had pretty much elsewhere. I even found an ice cube in my acai. That was a first. The "granola," rather than being the standard granola you have everywhere, was partially rice krispies or something similar to that. I was super confused. And then when it came to the fruit, there were a total of five strawberry slices in my bowl. That's less than one strawberry. I don't know if I caught them on an off night or if this is the norm. Robeks has several locations across town. If you download their app, you get a discount on your first purchase. Which I'll think about doing. Outside of that, I don't think I'll return.

Even with the name change, the product has maintained its high quality since my first visit. Upon returning a second time, it was even better than I remembered. Both times I went, one of my closest friends accompanied me, and we both enjoyed the food items we purchased. He got an acai bowl and said it was one of the best he had ever had. I have gotten the PB Butterscotch smoothie both times I have gone, and it is delicious. It tastes just like a regular milkshake, but without the guilt. I will try the other smoothie flavors they offer on my next visit. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the service is friendly. When I visited the first time, they were happy to offer suggestions on some of their most popular items. After they mentioned the PB Butterscotch smoothie, I tried that one. To reiterate, the PB Butterscotch is delicious, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a great smoothie without a high sugar content.
