They have the same competitive prices as Marshalls, TJMaxx and HomeGoods! They're all in the same family so you'll find the same products and more! After talking with the owner, Darren, it was very clear what his vision is for the store and how involved he is in the art world. I really enjoyed this store because it is clear that the art aspect of miniatures is so appreciated here. They also have a ton of higher-end miniatures here, specifically furniture. I Venmo'd her the $20 and she said she would bring it. They just called and are charging me $38 for shipping and $11 for packaging. There was some sincerely there but honestly the whole situation is VERY FISHY and understand other people are calling with similar issues and paid for products they never received. If the new folks are truly innocent of the scams that were being run through this place, suggest distancing themselves as much as possible from the poor reputation and shady dealings of this business.

After finding a few crystal flushount options at Hi-Light on Central Ave, I took a couple photos to send to my husband (who is also part of the buying process), and was immediately accosted by a salesperson who said I wasn't allowed to take photos of the products I was interested in buying, and asked me to stop. WTF? This is 2023. A great customer experience is your competitive advantage, and yet, the first thing a customer service person said to me was to stop taking photos of the items I was considering buying. Okaaaaaaaay. If you want to sell your products to people who use technology as part of the buying process, you need to make that easy AND pleasant for them to buy, and not harass them for promoting your products to their spouses (or interior designers etc.). I've been working on the renovation of our house for a year, and never once has a salesperson asked me to stop taking photos. In fact, they encourage it! This is why millennials do not want to come into stores now. Who has time for this B.S.? Never again. I'm ordering a flush mount online and will have my electrician come a second time to install a closet flush mount.

You might have to dig through somethings, but it's not too bad. The place is well kept and the people who manage it (I think they are all volunteers from the church?) work hard to keep the place in order. There is flow to the merchandise, with areas broken up by department. New donations are coming in on a regular basis. Every time I go, which is often, I see new donations being dropped off or being sorted and priced. The staff/volunteers are always so pleasant. It's a pleasure to shop here. It's never too crowded with customers, but there is regular customer traffic that keeps the store moderately busy. Prices are fair and around Christmas, they set up a room with Christmas specific/inspired merchandise. Kudos to Red Door!

The door was wide open, so I walked right in looking for lotion. Instead of being greeted with a "Hello, how are you?", I was greeted with a "We are closed...did you not read the sign?". After apologizing for not seeing the sign and saying "I'll go now", she said "It's fine". I felt bad for coming in while they were closed, but you shouldn't have your door wide open if you are. I picked out my purchase within two minutes, went to the register, and handed her my credit card. There was a sign that said "Credit Card Minimum $15.00", but my purchase was over $15.00. She then asked me if I had any cash and I responded "no", to which she replied "there's a minimum...". I said "Yes, but my purchase is over the minimum". She then went on to tell me how she "has to pay for this now and it will come out of her pocket". After saying, for the second time, "I'll leave", she said "No, I'll let it slide this time". She'll let it slide? The minimum was $15.00 and my purchase was OVER $15.00. And lastly, our entire five minute interaction was filled with dirty looks and sighs. I have never, in my entire life, been treated so badly while shopping. I work in retail and it is an unwritten law that the customer is always right. I would NEVER treat a customer with the disrespect and impoliteness that she treated me with. I will never step foot into her place of business again and I urge other customers not to either. It's unfortunate for her because I really liked the products in the store; I would have definitely shopped there often if I wasn't treated so poorly.

We've primarily relied on Sears for outdoor items like our umbrella, backyard table+ chairs,…read moreincluding our charcoal BBQ- which to this day, it's still in good condition and use it for my seafood to avoid touching hubs' meats in the gas grill. But after 2 Westchester Sears location closings, we've now turned a new leaf and depend on Fortunoff on Central Ave in Yonkers for some of their outdoor selections. While Fortunoff isn't a BBQ grill destination, they almost have all your backyard needs. We haven't felt the need to replace any of our bigger outdoor pieces- because again, they're fine. But once they go out of their misery, I might consider this place for their outdoor variety. I mean...if you're going for that gawdy look, they gotchu covered- but if you want more of a clean-edge/'minimalist' feel, Fortunoff added that too. Service from the young gals is choppy, patchy and weak on dialogue- then again, I'm not going out with them for cocktails- but I do crack a smile to ease the blow during my transactions.
