PROS: This place has all kinds of gems you can think of. Whether it's quartz, amethyst, opal, emerald, tanzanite, fossils, you name it. The people in the shop are very nice and helpful, and they even have a puppy that greets you. With each stone it can come in different variations; rock, cut, tumbled, in jewelry, shaped into an animal, etc and the prices are accurate to their value too. CONS: This place has a good size selection but the room that it's in is too small to handle all the merchandise. You have stuff coming out from underneath the tables, and in between large items, and islands in the middle of the room that are big making the alley ways small. OVERALL: Despite being a little overwhelming and cramped their selection is the best that I know and if you want a stone in the same class as what I mentioned before, this is the place for it read more

Great crystal shop in the cute town of Nyack. It's old but it's got everything you might possibly want in the world of crystals, rocks and minerals. Don't expect a New Age shop - it's strictly packed with crystals though it will have some new age accoutrements like pendulums and such. read more

This place is so cool! It's has everything you could possibly need gem related. If you are into healing stones for mediation, wearing stones for their metaphysical properties, looking for home devote or you want to make jewelry, this is a one stop shop. The owner is very gracious and has immense knowledge on gems. She also has reference guides in case you are not sure what you are looking for. I went for something specific and like when you go to the grocery store for bread and milk I came out with a bag full of things for myself and others. My fiance, a friend, and I were on a weekend trip to the area, and we stumbled upon Crystals on the Rocks while exploring Nyack. I'm really glad that we did, because this shop was amazing! The women who work there were extremely nice, knowledgeable, and helpful, and the selection of crystals was out of this world! If you're a crystal fanatic, collector, or whatever you'd like to call yourself - this is a must stop. A very large and wide range of crystals for you to walk and see which one speaks to you. As well, they have displays that speak to what that crystal does, it's meanings, etc and so forth. I find the place to be a hit or miss, depending on who works there. If the owner is in - it is honestly a wonderful experience. She is full of knowledge and answers any questions you may have, and you can tell she is very intone with crystals and what not. If you have a chance, engage in a conversation with her. What I did love was when picking out a bracelet, she did not let me choose from the display, and instead brought out a box with about 15 of the (rose quartz) bracelet I was looking at. Instead of choosing one that was already out, I got to see which bracelet spoke to me. The reason for the 3 stars is because sometime over the summer my partner purchased a pendulum, and while talking to the cashier, it was unfortunately left out. Realizing it was left out when we got home, the shop had already closed. We called the following day to follow up and were pretty much told it was our loss. They didn't seem to care to check on camera to see if this was true and that were was an honest mistake. Instead, it was sort of "it is what it is" kind of answer. It left a bad taste in my mouth, not sure who was working. But we've been back since, and my partner and friends have made more purchases. read more

While the selection of crystals were nice, the store contributes to animal cruelty. At the front desk/check out they keep a beta fish in an extremely small, unfiltered and under maintained bowl. Naturally, my friend brought this up to the lady working very politely even saying we're not trying to be rude only trying to inform her and ask questions if she knew..we basically told the employee how it's bad to keep a beta in such a small tank WITHOUT a filter. She dismisses most of my friends comments and all she had to say was "the pet store sell them in smaller bags" and "I had a beta fish live for 2 years in a tank like this". That doesn't mean the beta was happy or that the environment was healthy for it.... No business should react like that to customers, people, who are just concerned about the health of an animal. Anyways, it's a Crystal shop, there's NO reason for a beta fish to be there. Id suggest customers to go to other Crystal shops that don't part-take in such actions (spoiler alert, there are many alternative Crystal shops who do not treat betas like Crystals on the Rocks!). read more

I am so happy I found this place! I haven't found a gem/mineral:crystal place in westchester or rockland county! It's one thing to see a stone you like and order it online but it's another to hold it in your hand and get the full experience. The owners are super nice they answered all my questions. They have a wide variety of crystals. Each section seems to be set up with a different theme which was really cool to find out what was around the corner. They even have a section where you can make your own necklaces or bracelets. They also offer pre beaded brackets much like you'd find in Micheals it ac Moore. All the stones have location or information about their properties so if you're unsure and looking for something new this is the place to go! read more

Wonderful shop with knowledgeable staff. This store has so many stones from A to Z you are bound to find something to heal you your inner self. The inside of the store is well organized, plus clean. My favorite crystal store of all time. This is the store I entered one day, learned the healing properties of crystals and have loved them ever since. There are so many different crystals, with explanations of each. It's so easy to spend an hour in this little store because there is just so much to look at. They also host readings once a month and I've had a tarot card reading and numerology reading, both which were amazing. They also have crystal classes for adults and kids, which I plan on attending. Whether you love crystals or not, you will love this store and will probably end up buying something that caught your eye. read more

I really love this crystal shop. It's in a great location and I can tell the owners are crystal lovers. From the time you walk in, your spirit is LIFTED and the crystals are dancing. The crystals are beautiful in there. Go there especially if you're looking for rare pieces. The one thing that turned me off is one of the employees, I find her to be moody and I don't understand the attitude in such a great place.
